Admittedly it is a good tune but I really believe the reason why we hold a candle to this music is because our lives were soo much easier back then. We probably enjoyed life because we had more time, we were younger and worried less. So all these tunes stick with us because of that. Great tune though. I'm sure kids growing up in the 90s are looking back and doing the same. Shame the music in that era was shit. Happy memories ppl.

But it’s kind of like survivor bias, we conveniently forget about some of the absolute dross from that era. Examples: The Wurzels, Mud, Showaddywadd, Shakin Stevens, Brotherhood of man and that’s just the stuff I haven’t been able to actively erase from my memory. There’s good stuff around now too. The difference is we’re comparing the best of the last 100 years to this year. Greta Van Fleet, Ed Sheeran, Drake, and loads more. Having a Shalamar night reminds me of being a teenager. I remember seeing Jeffrey Daniel's doing his backslide on TOTP we were all trying to do it at school next day we were like how he do it was amazed still like to watch that on you tube to this day so slick dancer.

It's weird that they were so big in the UK but not in the States. This got to number 7 here but only 102 in the US.
