As a video editor, I have to say, it's very difficult making stuff like this sound and look good without reshooting it. There are a couple of things you can do to try to help with it (which I didn't see being done here) such as fading out the sound. Though, you have to decide to either cut it off right after Linus finishes speaking which can be a bit weird, or give a little bit of breathing room after he finishes at the risk of having extra noise afterward which is what the editor chose in this case. Still, some additional things like I said could be done to help this without reshooting it.
RAM: can not be upgraded after purchase. + can not be changed at all Storage: Has m.2 slots = can be upgraded + could be expanded via thunderbolt anyways. So why on earth does it not have ram slots!?
Maybe they don't want to make the mistake Apple made with the M1 models where the SSD dies relatively quickly and the entire laptop dies (with all the troubles of the related class action lawsuit). RAM on the other hand is a lot less likely to die within the warranty period. But it's more likely they just wanted a limited amount of motherboard configurations to save on costs and the SSD storage was the only thing deemed relevant (by the retailers) to provide different offerings in. So they made the SSD easily exchangeable.

Normally when you use Dolby atmos or DTS, you have to enable the setting by right clicking the volume button near the clock then choose the right spacial sound option. Otherwise you're not hearing the effects.

Totally agree with you on the full keyboard on a laptop. For 16 and 17 inch, they should have gone for the smaller keyboard in the middle, with speakers and air vents on the sides, instead of the speaker being at the bottom. The LG grams have reports of heat issue and poor audio outputs. Its great to have such a small weight. But even Samsung has come up with something similarly lite.
Will say as a 2021 Gram 15 user, no issues with the speakers at all. Which... I can't say about my older one! It do get hot across the top edge of the deck though. 🥵

As a tech tuber you should really know that turning off or restarting win 10 still isn't a cold start these days. It always uses a form of hibernate/sleep, the only way is to force power off by holding the power button.
These power buttons were in use by Dell workstation notebooks a long time before ASUS. I think DDR5 should have M.2 connectors with separate CPU lanes. That would make it possible to sell RAM-SSD combos for single slot machines and leave an upgrade path for all non-soldered machines. M.2 GPUs would be nice too, for at least some option to get discrete graphics.
Finally you explained the finger print caching thing well. Was always so confused. Thought the fingerprint would always have to be set again if it's not cached. Not just that it logs you in faster.
I upgraded my 4 year old gram to the 2021 model shortly after seeing this. The fingerprint caching is a neat trick! What took me a while to notice, in the LG Control Center you can also re-enable Wake on Lid Open. Maybe given the way the power button works now, they disable it by default. But I'm very impatient and wanted back the literal one second it saves having it start turning on immediately. 😂
I loved the 14 inch design, color and battery size. However it still seems dumb to pick any other laptop that's not the M1 Macbook Air since it is actually cheaper, has a waay more substantial chassis, P3 quality screen, better and larger trackpad, better keyboard as well as way better speakers and finally, it will still crush this LG in terms of battery and raw power. It lacks in the webcam, screen bezels and port selection, but man, I can't believe right now Apple leads in the price to performance department when it comes down to thin and light laptops. 😔
As an admitted Gram fanboy for a few years running, it's still over 0.5 lbs lighter and doesn't compromise at all on ports (no bag weight or clutter for dongles). It's really hard to overstate how enjoyable it is to carry such a light, potent device from meeting to meeting, job to job, not needing any special connectors or even a power cable.
Honestly, I feel like in 2021 having a high refresh rate display is almost a must. I have a phone with a 120Hz display and a laptop with a 300Hz display, and whenever I use any sort of computer with a 60Hz display, the choppiness of the screen almost makes it unusable. I mean, Razer is going in the right direction with the Blade Stealth with the 1080p 120Hz "gaming" ultrabook, but it would be nice to see non-gaming laptops with these high refresh rate displays.

Did they fix the shitty barrel connectors for the power? I used to work for LG in their IT department, and the older models would fail on them all the time. Super annoying because they didn’t have docking stations and you had to buy a USB-C charger separately, but there were even older models that didn’t have those USB-C charging ports, which meant having to replace the chargers all the time if you unplug and plug it in several times a day working in an office and taking your laptop to meetings and taking it home. My only real complaint was the lack of GPUs so we had to get Dells for the Engineers that needed to run CAD on their laptops. The fact that Linus didn’t remove the battery makes me wonder if he’s missing something, because I swear they used to put the RAM underneath it.
When you use LPDDR4(X) memory they always are soldered, no exception. If you use SO-DIMM you will loose performance especially for the graphics and, as you said, gain weight. I don't know, if 32 GB are really a necessary option for the Grams. Sure you could do some stuff in these notebooks that would need more memory, but to be honest, if you really need more memory there are still many Windows laptops that will give you this option, which is a nice thing in contrary to MacBooks.
