Your last reading vlog came 2 weeks ago, 2 weeks have honestly never felt so long.Really peaceful and serene vlog truly. I really wish for a daily reading vlog from you lol that's how good they are . 🫠😇.Also it was absolutely surreal when your emerald eyes were matching with your top during the intro.
My friend and I have been buddy rereading Twilight together and it's been so much fun talking about the series with her. I'm currently reading Midnight Sun for the first time because I only read a little of the early draft and I have no memory of it whatsoever, and it's such an interesting read so far! Also the ghost tic tac toe thing is adorable omfg. I love your videos so much
buddy reading twilight sounds so fun, i hope you continue to have the best time!! and midnight sun is definitely a very interesting book lmao, i remember reading the early draft in high school and being so sad that was all there was at the time! and thank you!!!
I literally adore your vlogs they're so calming :) also completely unrelated, but I finally read emily wildes encyclopedia of faeries because of u Katie AND OMG I LOVED IT TYSM!! 😭💗💗
The romance in A Novel Love Story definitely isn't my favorite (although I did like it more than The Seven Year Slip), but I really liked the themes in the book, and how the town was a big (metaphor, allegory?) for what both Elsy and Anders are going through: building up this story of your present or future in your head, and then something happens to stop it and you get stuck because you aren't sure where to go from there. Also, I love how the title is a play on words because the entire book is kind of about the love story between readers and their favorite books.
I love your reading chair, I want one. And also, that looks like an amazing annotation kit. When I leave home with a book that I am annotating that is basically what I bring.
If you like the premise of Novel Love Story, give the Thursday Next series by Jasper Fforde a try. The first one is called The Eyre Affair so you'll get a lot of the references if you've also just read Jane Eyre :) Thursday, the main character, is a literary detective who discovers she can go into books. Fforde is my favourite author and the Thursday series are some of his best.
Holding my 4 month babygirl while watching your video helps me feel a little bit like myself in this postpartum phase. 🤍 also girl I can’t wait to finally see you read and talk about Jane eyre it’s been a long time coming 😂
well i'm glad i can keep you two company (also a belated congrats!)🤍 and it really has been a long time coming, but i am going to read this book if it's the last thing i do😭
maybe I'm a little late for this, but I have an idea for the clay circles. you could paint some white dots and make them like buttons. love your videos ❤
Im so happy you loved belladonna. It is one of my favorite books. I will have to pick up some of the other books you recommended and see if I enjoy them. I love your videos❤
Great reading vlog as always💕. You've convinced me to finally read Belladonna because it sounds so good. Also I really loved A novel love story even though the romance wasn't my favorite either. That plot twist with Anders really got me though (I wasn't expecting it at all and I had a full reaction to it).
Not sure if you’ve read it or if it is already on your tbr but I just read The Radley’s by Matt Haig and I think you would honestly love it. It’s a quirky vampire book that is so weird and so fun, highly recommend to add to your vampire book collection!
I just started A Novel Love Story and to what I have been hearing about the book it sounds like it is going to be another fun vibes book like The Dead Romantics and as always a great video. The ghost tic tac toe dish was cute.
Deliciously Gothic descriptions sound like sth I want to read! Maybe I should add belladonna on my fall tbr 🍂 your clay creation is so cute 😍 A novel love story is on my tbr too 💙
Katie!!! Pls pick up the raven boys again!!! It pops off book two!!! You have to get to book two and then you’ll be hooked!! I really wanna hear your thoughts about the series 😊
Hi Katie! I'm Calista from KOLSup. I've been following your book reviews and literary insights-they're really insightful! 😊 Have you ever thought about having your own website?
Thank you for sharing Katie. I'm so happy I found your Chanel. I'm enjoying watching. I'm going to try the clay... That was AWESOME!!. Can I ask you 2 things, where you bought the bookshelves from and the lights. Your setup is so Gorgeous!!. Thank you so much.♥♥
thank you!! and the bookshelves are from ikea, they are the billy bookshelves, and the lights are from amazon i believe, they're just indoor christmas lights, hope that helps!!
Jane Eyre is one of my all-time procrastination areas. I could easily read it; I just haven't. Something about its premise has never caught me in the right mood to go in ... in sharp contrast to Pride & Prejudice, which hooked me from the outset for reasons my 15-year-old self would word to you in a far too pretentious way (adult me can look back and say "it was funny; the jokes land"). I've paused this video at 5:45 for the sake of going for a long walk (to get enough oxygen in my blood to not have a repeat of yesterday's heart palpitations), and when I get back and unpause I want to hear all about your Jane Eyre experience. *EDIT:* The issue with And Then There Were None might be that book form is the wrong medium, which isn't Christie's fault. I recommend you go to RUclips and give the 1945 film version a try. They change some character names (including Judge Wargraves to Judge Quincannon) but you get those same plot mechanics applied to cinema language and in my opinion it works much better. The ensemble they casted also slaps. You have many spunky candles. Kinda jealous. My apartment space can handle literally one candle burning at a time. If you're a fan of Death / the Reaper as a more sympathetic character, a good series to seek out is Discworld by Terry Pratchett. It's surrealist sci-fi, and 5 out of the 41 volumes focus on Death and his evolution as a person. Sorry to hear the time for Jane Eyre slipped away.
ooh such a fun idea and i hope my response wasn't too late! i think my favorite standalone books are half a soul by olivia atwater, the starless sea by erin morgenstern, and the ex hex by erin sterling!

What are your top 3 favorite books? (Preferably stand alone books) I’m asking my fave booktubers for their fave books so I can read them in August ❤
