I loved Swordheart! The audiobook voice for Sarkis was great! I am currently on book 3 of the Paladin series and they’re great but Swordheart is still my absolute favourite!
I read "The Whispering Dead" last week, and loved it, so I started "The Ravenous Dead" this week. I love the characters so much, especially Zoe; she makes me laugh so hard. I can't wait to finish it and see how it goes. On a different note, I love how you said you watched Halloweentown, "but only the good ones." 100% agree. #4 didn't happen XD
i think technically Swordheart occurs in the world before Paladins Grace, but you can read them in either order, the only thing it adds is a little bit of character connection haha :) They were both so amazing!

I really recommend A Wizard's Guide to Defensive Baking by T. Kingfisher! It's the perfect book for cozy season, I feel that it has the perfect blend of cozy, spooky, fantasy and adventure! I really liked it!
I'm also reading LOTR right now, and I love love love Tolkiens writing style... I've read it in German before, like 19 years ago, but now I'm reading the English original and it's so much better than the translation! 😍
I'm reading The Ex Hex and Garlic and the Vampire too this week. I'll also be throwing Alley the new Junji Ito in there at some point. I have 8 books to finish by the end of October. Wish me luck! Enjoyed the vlog! 📚✌🏾
Evangeline sounds like my dad. Why do you keep picking books where the villains resemble my parents?? Your soundtrack choices for the October vlogs have increasingly got me into the festive mood. It's unfortunately been several years (I think pre-pandemic) since I last had the peace of mind for Halloween. Not a surprise to hear Tolkien writes for orators. Apparently installments of a series get longer whenever the author gets more creative freedom. This makes sense to me, seeing as that's exactly what happened with Rowling. Editors/proofreaders are the checks and balances for those windbaggy tangents. Keep having fun and pushing through the weirdly hot weather.
You should read Nocticadia by Keri lake it's dark academia with some smut lol buts easily my favorite book this year so far at least and it's perfect for this time of year the vibes are immaculate
I saw in I think your last vlog that you almost bought Nine Liars by Maureen Johnson, which is currently the last book in the Truly Devious series (but there’s going to be 2 more). Do you plan on ever finishing the series? I think it’s perfect for fall!
