I was 🤞 for the same and wasn’t disappointed. I don’t know if the idea of the journey proved it’s feasibility to me but I’m sure it was a monumental adventure. I mean I’d rather go by bike.
Loved every second of it. - No music, instead we got to hear to wind, raindrops and every soothing sound of the paddle wading through the water. - choice is text font was superb and perfect for the video - Pacing of each cut was fantastic, not lingering on one scene too long, almost making us crave more. - Lastly, the camera shots of your paddling away from the shore... those must've been tedious to set up. Well worth the shots though! Thank you for this!
I don't usually write comments, but this was an amazing video, truly. The pureness of it, GREAT! It reminded me a bit of Beau Miles his videos. Keep up the travelling and building and making an living. Bless!
I have no idea why for some people SUP seems to be more attractive than kayak, canoe or any boat. Moving forward on this seems to be very exhausting especially in some longer trips. Anyway I'm impressed by you achievement. Best regards from Poland!
Also because it's 1. Cheaper/easier to build yourself like he did. 2. Lighter and easier to drag around. As you can see in the video, the large rivers in Europe are heavily built, there are dams, locks, industries, ... so you often have to get out of the water and walk. But yeah once you're in the water, I prefer the kayak too.
@Hayley Nash Don’t waste money on lessons! Instead just buy a inflatable board, pump it up and learn by doing it. It’s really easy and to me it has been a great addition in life! Daily workout 🏋️
I am a frustrated adventurer. I usually travel by car but since the pandemic, I have started cycling and I appreciate "man power" more and more. Your adventure is absolutely brilliant and although I think I would love to have a water-based adventure, I felt quite anxious watching the strong currents and the large boats near to you. Perhaps I might try something in a boat instead. But kudos to you for doing this and for your video with no music spoiling the experience. The sounds of the water around you are quite wonderful.
I am only at the very start of my SUP journey only recently getting a board. Now I am scanning RUclips for inspiration and boy did I find it here, what a trip Josua ! I actually enjoyde the lack of talking as it focused me more into what you achieved and had to face. Well done, thank you for filming it, I REALLY enjoyed this video, take care on your future endeavours
What an incredible adventure, my dear Josua. We were so proud to see this video, from the making of the paddle, to the struggles, to the beautiful scenery and your relationship with nature. You really are a true inspiration. Thank you for sharing this with us!
Good man! We cycled from Nice to Barcelona along the coast, slept on the beach without a tent. That was the best ever trip so far. I’ve never felt as free.
Exploring the Dutch canals on a SUP board is an unforgettable experience, with the calm waters and charming architecture creating a peaceful and serene atmosphere🏄♂️🇳🇱🌊🌺🌺🇳🇱
I was watching this and suddenly I realised that I saw you supping 😅 You took a break in Nijmegen and that was in front of my house! 12:02 Really cool to see this video and now knowing who that was 😊
These days I was watching a lot of sup journey/excursions. I thought the ones that traveled for a couple of days were kinda adventurous but...boy, yours was completely another level. Very few persons would have the will power and the guts to undertake such a feat. Saying that this is inspiring would be an understatement. My best compliments!
What an epic journey. Thanks for letting RUclips viewers tag along for the ride. You must have shed some weight from all the sweating over those miles, but this is a story you will tell your grandchildren someday for sure.
Great trip braddah! Very relaxing to enjoy your highlights and the wonderful sounds of the water and nature. Thank you and aloha from big Island, Hawaii. Praise jah!
Great Adventure ! You are straight guy : building a board on your own , starting with highwaters and paddling through all weater conditions . Great film , thank you . Cheers Andreas
A realy nice film of an admirable journey. I am from Duisburg and I am Happy that you found those two Guys, who showed you some of the beauty of Duisburg. Else it would be only a part of the river packed with industry and harbor.
Legend! Well done, mate!! The soul is filled up again until the city drains it and you need to plan a new trip :-) Good luck on your journey through life!
Maybe i would build also a chair on it so you can sit down once in a while. enjoyed watching this.good job doing all this including the build.nice work
Thanks for showing another way to connect with the nature, I just bought my first SUP and spent time on basically exercise, wish one day I could do the same tour as you did 感谢!
@@shykey666lee it is at least the last 1000km not clear water, and the last 500km is like a highway for ships through an industry park. if i go canoeing then it is places like the Donautal, but thats ofc just a 1day trip for sportsmen and there is no weed selling coffeeshop at the end, guess thats the reason our white bob marley choosed the rhein😁
wahnsinn, wir haben dich in der schweiz an einem kraftwerk getroffen, wir waren zu fuss unterwegs mit rucksack. ganz schön dein reisebericht🍀🍀🍀 liebe grüsse jenni.swiss
Goedemiddag Josua! My name is Daniel, I'm from Russia, living near Moscow. That was really outstanding journey and quite a heavy effort you've done! Great respect for the video and the way you made this trip. I'm riding SUP for three years, also doing winter trips throughout Moscow river. Preparing now for my first 100 km ride next summer by river Oka. What you've done is a great motivation! Wish you all the best and goede reis!
My buddy Kurt Salm and I did the same trip in a home made Kayak in `1964, or, tried to anyway. Unfortunately our proud little floating home came to a sad demise, but all the same it was a great adventure.
What an epic journey, perfect timing too as it may have been a completely different story this year! My SUP Journey so far; 2020Corona lockdown 1 I bought 6 iSups and took paying guests on River Tours in Germany (it was awesome, lots of bookings, biggest group was 14!) 2021 Corona Lockdown 3 The whole year no bookings at all!?!? (Just some rentals) 2021 July Sold all of the kit, kept 1 board for myself I have often thought about doing an expedition, you have inspired me ! Thank you Josua
Amazing. I often thought about how it would be to do such a trip. I could reach my hometown by nearly the same route as you: Living in Schwarzenberg, LU and Saarlouis, Saarland. Nice, heavy trip. Thank you for sharing. Maybe i see you on the lake or Uffschötti. 👍
real nice shots, also the mining eara. Im glad to hear you had a good experiment with our water police. We 3 suppers on the wadden 50m near the cost at kneedeep water, had a fine for 285 euro each, for not having a radar or a secend shipsman on board, beach the fog was less than 1000m ... we felt so fokked. still supping a lot. greats from supstagram
I love the simplicity of your presentation. No music, just subtitles- very inspirational.
No over-exagerated fake emotions in an American voice, this is great. He learnt a lot in the Netherlands. Doe maar gewoon, hè?

Agree on all parts. This was a most awesome video of a more awesome adventure! Great inspiration this!
Good thing he did not lose the grocery cart on his first capsize.
That would be a devastating setback. Cheers.. Great vid. THx
I can't imagine a more difficult and uncomfortable way of doing such a long journey. Huge respect, congratulations
do you remember pedalos? thats that would be a step-up haha
Swimming?
Doing exactly what he did but standing on your head the whole time
Walking that distance with glass in the shoes would be more difficult and uncomfortable.
@@MoebiusUK i like that one! Lego's could also do the job 😂

Respect. For me it’s already an adventure when I paddle on a lake.
This man needs million of views for this journey!
Very great and fantastic. Thanks a lot for sharing the journey with us, I really enjoyed the video, and good luck with all your future adventures.
What a trip and what a movie. Very inspiring.
I have no idea why for some people SUP seems to be more attractive than kayak, canoe or any boat. Moving forward on this seems to be very exhausting especially in some longer trips. Anyway I'm impressed by you achievement. Best regards from Poland!
I think it is about the perspective. You get a better view than in a canoe. I'm no SUP expert, but I think that could be one of the reasons.
Check out Swift pack boats. They are a kayak/canoe hybrid. With the carbon fiber models you can have a 14 foot boat that weighs 22 pounds / 10 kg.
I physically couldn't do the sup id hate it I have a hard enough time keeping a canoe upright

The ability to build a thing, anything is cool enough! The journey, the icing on the cake, well done.
I thought of it the otherway around haha
Thank you for sharing your adventure. What makes it even more special is that you did it on a board that you made yourself.
Regards from South Africa.
Great Adventure. I love ur video. Silence, the River and the Rain. Thank you for this video. 💪🏻👊🏻👍🏻
Incredible journey and effort. 👏well done to you and all involved. Thanks for sharing. 😁👍
Great ,i do like that there’s no narration commentary, just the sounds of the environment
Great journey you have made👍👍👍
often driven that route wondering if such a trip were possible and now we know, thanks for that. inspiring stuff.
Great adventure and great video. No music, just the sound of water and nature.
Thank you. For taking us along on this wonderful journey.
What a great journey. Very inspirational
Very cool, those initial rapids appear pretty intimidating on a stand up, some inspiration for when the world allows me to travel up that way again
Congratulations 👏🏻 and thanks for sharing your experience with us
Awesome video...love how it was edited. Now we need a full build video so I can copy!
Wat gaaf! Erg leuk om te bekijken!
Hopefully this video keeps getting plays. What a trip. Great vid
I've recently taken up sup as a hobby, and I must say, this video was ever so inspiring. What a grand journey. Even made your own board. Phenomenal.

Very courageous thing to do. I paddled for 80km on the river Shannon in Ireland and that was an adventure, but this was epic 👍

That was a beautiful trip, fully in the rhythm of the elements. It was great to share that journey with you. Brilliant video
27 days! Man u are a beast! I like The originality of the idea.
Wow, seeing the forest marsh where i grew up 20 years ago in an equally amazing expedition is absolutely insane to me. Thank you for this!

No, not really 👎
@Genio Cristo Yes, yes really!
Great video! In Canada, we call that "Portaging", or at least that's what the early French explorers called it.
