Here's the thing: negative stories are necessary. As a foreigner who has lived in Korea for 10+ years, I've seen so many young people come here believing the "shy, innocent Asian guy" stereotype and get hurt. These stories are a warning that bad people are everywhere. There are good people too, of course, but kdrama and kpop fans often have some pretty unrealistic expectations of Korean men.
I am guilty as charge, I like to live in delululand, but I am too old now to not accept its just MY delulu and the real world is not like that. XD The very first, and as of today only, time I went to South Korea I took a Fuck boy's invitation and I was 100% aware of what was going on, and I was OK with it. I have always been attracted to Asians yet Asian people are not so common here or the ones we have keep interactions mostly withing their community.
I learned 2 things. 1. Taking yourself out on a date and drinking by your self just enjoying myself is extremely weird for Korean, at least the ones I met told me so.
2. I can still pull semi attractive youngish people even though i am 36. I am not ugly, I just have 0 fashion sense and have never cared about makeup nor using clothes that complement me.
I am living my 20s in my late 30s...too focus on my studies and trying to survive to go out and enjoy myself.

This. I know white girls, latinas, and Asian girls who say the same thing abt some black men. Not all, I know but a lot of black men make videos and comments abt why they dislike black women. Since we've talked abt that on the channel so much I've seen a lot of comments where they're like "wtf why r u rude? Why do u hate black women so much?"

Sisi, you need to share more stories like the first one. I'm sure your viewers, even if not subscribers, are hella diverse. That means there are those in LGBTQ plus community that have unrealistic ideas about Korea. Because like WTF!! I'm curious about the STD/HIV rate in Korea because they all quoting the same textbook!! FOR THE WATCH!!!

Omg love the tea that you be sharing…my being a gay and black…in the gay community African, Black, or even Mixed race…your sort of last of last on the totem pole so to speak…you totally stereotyped and prejudiced by social media and how others to see “black men” in general by those same stereotypes and prejudices..and also if you are being a top or verse (which you play for both teams but then are assumed to be a bottom..and with the DL culture just makes it way harder for black men in any culture to be accepted (by some) in the LGBTQ+ community…same goes for women as well that are of a different cultural background.

Me too, I love the negative stories. 'Cause they expose the toxic attitudes of people. You can't hide your character when truth about yourself is revealed. I've seen people go borderline rude to defend themselves when they should instead change so negative things about them won't be talked about anymore.

In Korea, It's funny how same sex friends can be very affectionate with each other, but they have to keep their distance to the opposite sex unless they're considering marriage. I can understand why Koreans want to experience relationships with Westerners, because we are more open about sex, not easy, but more open minded, which doesn't mean we're into 1 night stands. Most Koreans don't wax, but maybe the younger generation is catching onto ladyscaping/manscaping. We all have our "types" /attractions, so I get why Koreans like Westerners. Guess I don't find anything wrong with that. As for scheming, that's not cool, but we women are used to that too. Gotta be careful out there.

Thanks for your stories I was stationed in korea in the 80s for a few years way before the K POP and internet era my korean is still pretty good then i did a few years in japan i was goin back then covid hit might try again this year but thailand and the phillipines is cheaper and yes when thick ladies were whats up im from new york so we like junk in the trunk and i was D.J.ing in the clubs I lived in pyeoungteak camp Humphries I have my name in korea tatted on my armstill addicted to korean BBQ dont know about this story though ha ha HA DO YOU!
