I think the mad respect should go to the fans and critters. Sure the show opens up the avenue for these charities to get the publicity needed to earn donations, but I think it's the amazingly generous critters that deserve that respect more than the platform of Critical Role itself. I mean it's insane how much money these guys can generate just from being a show on the internet and it's always for a good cause. I love Critical Role for opening up this avenue for charities, but I respect the fans for supporting them!
If you see it from the perspective of the charities, it takes a lot of effort to get word out for people to donate to an organization. With the reach that this show provides and the insane generosity of the community they have developed from this show alone that can earn thousands of dollars for a cause, I think the cast deserves some credit. And they do it in such an entertaining way that everyone can enjoy while feeling good about being a contributor to a cause! Have some positivity in your life buddy! We're all just trying to make the world a better place.
Its certainly not unheard of, but it definitely is a very cruel way to view the world. If you woke up one day and found out you had a life threatening illness and had nothing you could do about it, you'd likely wish for help. Its really a matter of empathy above anything else, which evidently, you lack.
I have watched this 3 times now & Ringo is still my favorite introduction. Mainly because the voice Liam chose felt the most natural to the character portrait.
Well... since he then described the engine to be there, it actually WAS an engine hood in the back. As Travis commented, this is very unusual for american build cars, but there are some german and italian models (most notably Porsche and Fiat 500) that have their trunk/boot in the front and their engine housing in the back.
@@QemeH It was an ice cream truck. with a back door that many pandas jumped through during the game. He immediately forgot that the engine is in the way, until it was relevant becouse the "front one" got destroyed. It was hillarious. I loved it.

Show idea, Sam talking about things he doesn't know about. A Brief Explanation with Emmy Award Winner Sam Riegel.
Everything is content!
10/10 would watch
Make this a thing. Nothing too big, maybe about the lenght of a Handbooker Helper episode, but I'm sure it would be glorious. A Brief Explanation is also a great title.
Yes please and thank you
Yes all of this
RUclips decided to make this video the first Critical Role content I've ever seen. I'm in.
Bold choice by the algorithm, but it seems to know you well!
1:11:13 Holy shit, Matt put some real strength into that line. It just shows how much fun games like these can just have some amazing moments.
1:19:10 why do I get the feeling this was just an excuse to throw things at Matthew Mercer?
Revenge on the DM... I understand
Vin Diesel must be the special guest for the next Crash Pandas.
This needs to happen!
He has been on before, that isn't outside the spectrum of possibility.
When has Vin Diesel been on Critical Role? Are you thinking of Joe Manganiello?
they did a one shot with him called "D & Diesel" for that witch hunter movie he did a couple years ago, turns out he is actually a D&D fan
Oh, one of the CelebriD&D things. I had not seen that one. Thanks man, and now this proclamation should definitely happen :)
1:00:26 "Got a lot of friends that don't actually exist, so I've learned to... love everyone" is possibly the best one-liner I've ever heard.
abso-fucking-lutely. wifey and I laughed and awwed at this simultaneously.
44:58 Whoever put that green fire over the wrecked car during the live stream deserves a raise
I was hoping it got noticed by more than just one or two!
That's what we said! XD
They really missed the opportunity to use “Vin Weasel”????
That's my next crash panda character.
too on the nose
I continue to believe that Sam needs to GM a game of Paranoia.
We need more of Matt as a player!
I think Sam has great potential for DM as well.
Agreed!
Yess
@JR Thomas the pirate campaign could happen soon >.>
It's always one shot characters though. I'd love to see what he'd make for a long form d&d campaign.
"Potassium is a good source of Potassium, you're very smart to do that." - Sam Riegel 2018 53:50
Potassium. It's a good source of potassium.
I've heard potassium is actually the best source of potassium
@@haichie1341 - y'all are missing the beginning of the sentence.
This one-shot has exactly the same energy as me and my sister sitting on a floor playing with action figures when we were kids and I couldn't be happier with it.
"it's 2018 now, there are alot of interspecies relationships, you should get woke"
dear god Marisha, split my sides
i mean we arent far off from corps and media promoting bestiality as well...
Liam goes straight homicidal in one shots xD
Well, critical roll is too PG to let him do that. Also, Matt would hold him responsible.
Lets all be honest, though. Caleb would kill given the chance.
He has nothing on chutney
@@VitaNewbo “PG” need i remind you of the gelded dick-handed Traveler cleric?
@@VitaNewbo Friendly reminder of Vox Machina's campaign against the elderly lol.
@@VitaNewbo This aged well
Caleb DID go straight homicidal when he got the chance
Welcome to Sam Riege's Crash Pandas where the everything's made up and the points don't matter. ;)
These one-shots are so much fun. This one had me laughing so hard. Thanks for putting this together Sam!
Best. Comment. EVER!!
The points don't matter. The points don't matter. The points don't matter.
This was the best disney movie i ever saw.
Oh shit..... that would be epic.....
I'd pay good money to watch a movie of the pixar team animating a 2 hour voice acting improv by critical role
Its because its Pixar's
This... actually would be a good one. Over the Hedge crossed with Fast & Furious
@@tomaszskowronski1406 actually the summary of this game
This is the greatest thing I've ever watched! The fact that Sam hardly knew what was going on, the complete lack of car knowledge, and the randomness of being raccoons and the random items they all had at the beginning made for a hilariously chaotic one-shot.
Gooba, Izzie, Rhinestone, and Reggie all come out of Pixar then along comes Ringo from HBO.
....Reggie? Really?
I mean Izzie did kill a guy.
Are they just going ignore that liam said “I’m not saying that TRASH CAN’T BE HAMMERED” 🤣
I love how Matt looks like the lack of continuity, and fluid rule-set, is driving him mad.
I love how Sam being a GM it's like playing Make Belief when you were 9.
Well, I guess that's tabletop RPGs, right?
UssyV except tabletop RPGs have rules. When your friend pretend shoots you, you cant say "nuh uh! I blocked it with my invincible armor!"
@@Laekri Make Belief with rules then
When it's done right, yeah :)
I'm pretty sure that blowing the truck over the finish line was not part of the plan. You can see Sam facepalming when he realized exactly what his off-the-cuff weird thought produced... and it was epic!
Yes!! All the car movements and random obstacles and stuff were SO much like little kids playing cars. Made me so happy
"He'a got a grappling hook and duct tape, he's a tinkerer!"
"Why do I have a banana?!"
Omg this is amazingly ridiculous.
And that banana saved Vin diesel
This was the funniest thing that I have seen in a long time. I would be so down for a Crash Pandas cartoon.
Reluctantly crouched at the starting line
Engines pumping and thumping in time
The green light flashes, the flags go up
Churning and burning, they yearn for the cup
Nice Cake reference
THEY DEFTLY MANEUVER
AND MUSCLE FOR RANK
FUEL BURNING FAST ON AN E M P T Y TANK
RECKLESS AND WILD
THEY POUR THROUGH THE TURNS
The irony is that this is about as realistic as any of the Fast and the Furious movies.
Maybe more so.
You mean Fast and the Furriest?
2 fast 2 furrious
The Fuzzed and the Furriest.
@@notsoaveragejoe2622 I saw like 2 minutes of one of the later ones, two super jackin' spies jumping cars between buildings lol. So goofy I just couldn't dig it lol.
I love the fact that this show has always been so charitable. Gotta give mad respect to everyone behind critical role, an absolute wonderful bunch
To be fair, without their input and the incentives given these donations would have never happened.
I do not think people who cannot help themselves deserve it. Not a bizzare or unheard of concept.
Its certainly not unheard of, but it definitely is a very cruel way to view the world. If you woke up one day and found out you had a life threatening illness and had nothing you could do about it, you'd likely wish for help. Its really a matter of empathy above anything else, which evidently, you lack.
Im so painfully aware that Sam is the only one not drunk and I kind of love it because he may as well be.
I have watched this 3 times now & Ringo is still my favorite introduction. Mainly because the voice Liam chose felt the most natural to the character portrait.
26:23 ‘YOU HAVE A GRAPPLING HOOK?!?.... I HAVE A BANANA...’ 😂🤣
Little did she know how that banana would save the day in the end.
Traci is back. And she is a... raccon?
That would be the work of a Reincarnate spell
Half raccoon, half skunk apparently.
Yeah i feel like a huge opportunity was missed by not calling her that XD
Trash digger, question mark?
21:05 "Back hood" is Sam's "Reverse Math".
Well... since he then described the engine to be there, it actually WAS an engine hood in the back. As Travis commented, this is very unusual for american build cars, but there are some german and italian models (most notably Porsche and Fiat 500) that have their trunk/boot in the front and their engine housing in the back.
When your butler brings you your car in the morning, what does HE call it!?
@@QemeH It was an ice cream truck. with a back door that many pandas jumped through during the game. He immediately forgot that the engine is in the way, until it was relevant becouse the "front one" got destroyed. It was hillarious. I loved it.
I love that Marisha played an Instagram user and Laura played a Tumblr user
Liam’s quiet “It’s really not a problem for me” when Blair/Baldpaw is talking about how uncomfortable it is to rp getting intimate with Sam at 😂😂😂
Edit: 1:14:50
UNDERRATED MOMENT
I had to go back and watch it again, it's such a cute moment 😍😊😊
the cr guys are generally so comfortable with that which is one thing i really love about them. there are never any “ohh no what about masculinity!!” situations with them
To be fair, Sam is Liam's husband
@@canniloni That guy is Sam’s brother, it’s pretty weird nothing to do with “toxic masculinity”
Man, 21:00 already made me cry laughing holy shit. Sam really does know nothing about cars.
Also, "You were very clear about that, I'm sorry," at 54:50.
1:13:50
Matt: "Two in the granny one in the panty!"
*Cast groans in disgust*
Sam: "MERCER! This is for CHARITY!!"
Yeah. I expected that from sam or liam. Maybe Laura. But from mercer? He needs to let loose more often cause that was hilarious
Oh so that's what he said! Lmao.
"The car does not explode... FOR A MOMENT...AND IT DEFINITELY EXPLODES"
I was eating when he said that. I was not eating afterwards.
This made me do a legit spit take with my adult beverage of choice. Mercer-as-player is my favorite.
This one shot is especially funny for me because my knowlede of cars equals sam's. Definitely the perfect guy to act as a GM for this one
It's a shame Matt can't play more often. His acting in this episode is incredible
Sam is the best GM--he just says yes to everything that will make the game more awesome
Love that you wrote GM instead of DM, because we all know who gets the best DM title!

"I'm not saying that trash can't be hammered, i'm saying you can't make cubs that way".
How does he just come up with that!?
Marisha said "you should get woke"
Because....he is Travis Willingham.
Sam: Any questions before we start guys?
Laura: Where do babies come from?
Blair Bird says the woman has had a kid
