This gave me serious Children of the Corn vibes and I loved it. That second house, I have no idea if it was real or not, was just gorgeous. The whole video was filled with this tension, like something scary was gonna happen, but it was just the locations. Extremely well done.
Man, this is both comforting and unsettling for me because I've slept in or behind abandoned houses like this in the midwest. It's always makes me a little sad to see a formerly beautiful home just rot away. I would've glady put in the work to fix up those houses, but I can't afford that, lol
The other day my friend said "nobody is actually afraid of the dark. What they fear is the mystery concealed by the dark." Your videos are unnerving because of the amount of mystery that surrounds them. Beautiful settings, beautiful delivery.
okay so if the dark always contains mystery, and people are afraid of mystery, then they are afraid of the dark. duhh you arent afraid of heights: you're afraid of falling 🤓
These are like those ghost investigation videos but more peaceful somehow? Like it's still creepy but there's no sound effects or commentary to ruin it.
Pitch black night sky without a single star instills a primal fear in me, it's as if there's a layer of darkness covering the sky so it makes me claustrophobic despite being outside.
That friggin alien leg that shows up when Mel Gibson is in the cornfield in Signs is the reason this is so unnerving to me. Also why I DO NOT do corn mazes.
i loved the corn maze there’s a big unlit corn maze that opens every year near my home. i’m so far from home and i miss it so much but i won’t be able to make it back anytime soon. i’m also homesick for the version of myself who liked to go into dark graveyards and abandoned places. these beautiful shots make me feel yearning and fear in equal measure. like a dark nostalgia. i love it

The church us just gorgeous, its a shame it was abandoned, id guve an arm and a leg to live in an old orthodox church with the tin domed roof and painted ceilings
@@SaltedFlake The light scatters incorrectly and shadows are off, there are no particulates in the air in a cornfield and two abandoned buildings, both of which would have a large volume of dust visible in the light, especially with a breeze like is portrayed. The movement being so smooth could be attributed to a gimble but it doesn't remain consistently smooth and stable as a gimble mount would. It is very well done but still noticeably a 3d render, it stands out more if you have experience with 3d environments or photography.
Based on all the arguments in the comments, we gotta get this to Corridor Crew stat lol. My guess is it's mixing real footage with some kind of 3D rendering. The cornfield would be phenomenally difficult to do in 3D rendering software, but the interior of a house could be done easily. Kane Pixels and Unrecord have already shown that people can fall for a highly detailed image that is suitably dirtied up to look realistic. They do add some very nice touches in this video like the bugs flying in front of the flashlight, but some things look just a bit off. The rubble on the stairs looks a bit too flat, and there's no noise or apparent difficulty for them to ascend the staircase despite the debris. The ambient noise also apparently includes a lot of low engine rumbles from a very large vehicle, which is odd if they're supposed to be out in the middle of nowhere? Overall it's really phenomenal work, such a tense atmosphere. You're just waiting for something to happen lol
In case anyone wasn't sure before, around 1:47 Is a dead giveaway. There's absolutely no sound when they step on all those rocks and debris on the stairs. There should be lots of crunching and crumbling noises.
@@keulron2290 A good question might be, why do that at all? Just to confuse, or to make a scene seem unreal? That doesn't figure; if the maker wanted the scenes to be authentic... why replace natural sounds with unnatural ones?
Someone told me on another one of your videos that you personally designed these places. And I was SHOCKED. I thought they were urban exploration type of videos. So I'm amazed to see the amount of DETAIL in these videos.
Unironically what it feels like exploring various properties in The Long Drive at night. With less bloodthirsty bunnies and Great Hungarian Deserts though.
it would be really cool to get a behind the scenes for this. I'm convinced it's unreal engine or the like due to the lack of footstep sounds while traversing the first house, but I could be wrong.
This is surreal, haunting and yet beautiful to me felt like go to the depths of the oceans and exploring a world taken by water but unlike some videos your channel videos feel relaxing somehow dont give a feeling of fear or dread awesome job
The lack of sound form the camera operator leads me to believe this is fake but then again tools like adobe iZotope RX are basically magic at single or multi frequency sound isolation so who really knows what this is.
It's really hard to tell if it's a rendering or if it's real life, but the smoothness of the camera and the way the light moves makes me think it's a rendering.
The shadows are the most obvious thing for me, they don't move right or they don't move at all, sometimes they look like they're actually physical, not sure how to describe it better. Still, it's pretty awesome, got me doubting myself too at first
This is the 100% UE5. Look at how smooth the movement in the cornfield is. Look at the grass as the cameraman approaches the barn. Look at how the bird flies through him towards the end. Great work, this looks incredible.
Unnerving in the same way "Blair Witch Project" was. You keep waiting for IT to happen. The anticipation/suspense are more chilling than something actually jumping out. It's why lingerie and barely seen monsters are so effective....😬😳
2:57 the fence gate flipped the other way around, it was facing away from the church, after the cameraman walked past it it turned towards the church. There's also a rocking chair in the cornfield? Also of note is the persistent mid-frequency pitched whining noise, not too dissimilar to that of a distant traffic or an electtric motor, appearing first at the cornfield at around 1:02, at the house at 1:27, and all the time outside the church, starting at 2:37. Interestingly, it's absent in the interior shots of the church and the graveyard. It's hard to tell, but the large monument at the graveyard seems to have a figure peeking from behind it on the second pass. Either it was not illuminated by the light at first, or it made its presence known.
I can't tell where the visual disturbance in the corn field is, but my best guess is 0:54. As the cameraman comes around to look into the path in the corn, the shadows on the right side (relative to his view) do not recede from the flashlight like they should (I think).
