      Cosmic/lovecraftian horror is hard to pull off since it doesnt follow the traditional plot outline
      Its not about character development, but more so about the slow and steady entrance to the unknown before the big reveal of powers much greater and the descent into helplessness and dread of the revelation.

    • @fernandochaves9665

      Exactly. That's the reason its so interesting. Almost nobody realizes that almost every movie or book, doesn't matter if belongs to "art" or "pop culture", is overly focused in we humans as a race, or individals... As if nothing exists outside ourselves. There are lot of topics far more interesting that watching us in a mirror, so to speak.

    • @facemaus12
      @facemaus12 5 месяцев назад +11

      The truly terrifying is not what you see or hear. It's what you imagine. I mean, what do we see? A foggy and dark area with flying creatures that definitely don't come from earth. The creatures don't harm anyone and are just flying around and "sitting" on a tower. They don't seem to care about that little human who is filming them. At the end he suddenly runs away and the screen turns black. That's not really scary.
      But it becomes scary if we imagine what these creatures could do or why he ran away at the end. Maybe he just saw a car and wanted to stop it or the creature did something that scared him. Maybe the film just stopped because the camera had no more akku or he dropped and broke it. But I imagined that the creature was crawling down while he filmed the street and then tried to attack or grab him. He ran away but the creature followed. As the camera turned black he was grabbed and eaten. If the horror film is good enough you don't even have to show the creature many times. You just have to build up the right atmosphere and hint stuff the viewers could imagine to happen off-screen.

    The thing that makes the whole thing very scary is about how calm the situation seems to be. You hear something from afar and you see some strange stuff like a figure for the fogs and a strange stuff from a tower. This is what is best about this horror video : we give you hints that you are not alone, even if everything is calm and normal.
