    Do you remember what model fan you purchased, what was the CFM? Since you didn't have to use a different relay or fuse?

    • @93dajjdg
      @93dajjdg  2 года назад +4

      Model va10-ap50/c-61a ……. It’s a 13 amp model. My cars electrical is wired to work up to 15 amps for the cooling fan so it works perfectly. I got it from summit racing. You can check all the specs on spal’s website. Thanks for watching and please like and subscribe.

    Is there any way I can use the same fan for the skunk 2 radiator? Is it maybe a standard size in most cases?

    • @93dajjdg
      @93dajjdg  Год назад

      I purchased a standard size fan from Spal, you should be able to do the same with a stock radiator or an aftermarket radiator. Just look to see what the size of the fan is before you purchase anything and measure accordingly. Thanks for watching and please like and subscribe. 👍👍👍

      My catch can hardly ever smokes. I do notice it smoking when the car is on the Dyno getting revved high. In your case I would recommend a compression test to see the health of your motor. Thanks for watching and please like the and subscribe.

    did you install the relay spal or only with the oem

    • @93dajjdg

      All I did was wire up the Spall fan to the oem wiring. The spall fan is a low amperage model the works with the oem wire harness.

      My best advice would be for you to hit up some forums and ask questions. I don’t have any experience installing a relay or a temp gauge. Also I did a quick google search on both of the topics you mentioned and found both topics previously discussed. Again thanks for watching and please like and subscribe.

    So weird question, what do you do with the excess coolant in the funnel if the radiator is full?

    • @93dajjdg
      @93dajjdg  Месяц назад +1

      The coolant burp kit comes with a plug that has a long handle so you can reach the hole inside the funnel without burning your fingers. So you plug the funnel and pull the funnel and adapter off and install the radiator cap. You always spill a little coolant when removing the plugged funnel but it isn’t much. I installed spal fan but my factory fuse 20amp keeps blowing. I installed a relay and spal says I have to install a temp sensor that is spefic to the spal fan

    • @93dajjdg
      @93dajjdg  2 года назад +1

      Hello and thanks for watching, it sounds like you may have purchased a Spal fan that runs at a high amperage. I bought a specific model that runs at a low amperage so I wouldn’t have to run a relay. I was able to install my Spal fan directly to the wire harness that the car came with and haven’t had a issue. Unfortunately I can’t give you any advice since I didn’t install a relay and or a temp sensor. Again thanks for watching and please like and subscribe.

    Why did you reuse the plug for the spal fan?

    • @93dajjdg
      @93dajjdg  Год назад

      I reused the oem plug, I eventually plan on getting a Rywire wire harness and having my oem plugs will make the aftermarket harness a plug and play. Thanks for watching and please like and subscribe.👍

    You mean to tell me I don't need that spal harness with the fuse?

    • @93dajjdg
      @93dajjdg  2 года назад +1

      The Spal fan I purchased was a low amperage model. I didn’t need to run a relay for it. I didn’t want to add extra wires to my engine bay and made the install easier. Thanks for watching and please like and subscribe.

      I do t know if I got low or high amp model, by I keep blowing fuse so I installed the relay spal requires. problem is fan kicks in 2 minutes after cold start and never shuts off. spal said i need their sensor but it won't fit my b series where ECT goes.

    shouldn't you be putting the foam pads on both sides of radiator, that's why there are 8 of them.

      The pusher model would push the air threw the front of the radiator and the hot air would end up in the engine bay. I used a pusher model only because very limited space.
