Was thinking about getting this. I've recently moved out into an apartment and unfortunately, couldn't take my Fender DeVille 212 with me. This seems like a decent amp with a headphone jack so I can practice as loud as I want to my heart's content.
It really is that kind of amp! You can really push it to get loud and still have some decent sounds as well. I would recommend it for sure to practice with! Also the ZT lunchbox is amazing.
I bought the $75 Orange Crush Mini but it sucks! It's not loud at all. It's only loud with the distortion all the way up. I'm returning it for this one.
That’s a good question and I don’t see why not! With acoustics you’ll need to sit the amp kind of away from the acoustic to avoid feedback unless you put a dampener in the sound hole.

On the 12, there is an adjustable AC input at the back, which the 12L does not have. How do you use it through the computer? You say the headphone jack right? Right into the interface I assume, do the cabs just work without needing to install anything?
So I see now this needs a different answer and I would say yes. You don’t need to install anything into the amp. You do need drivers to use the interface, unless you have a Mac.
Devan Bishop if you’re familiar with the amp, a quick feedback would be really appreciated :) I’m hearing a lot of good things about both of them, but that choice boggles me
Devan Bishop yeah my amp has an input for the plug and a input for headphones. So where do I plug in the the peddle? Do I plug it into the headphone socket?
Well unless you’re willing to drop some money you won’t get anything perfect. This is meant to be a solid small amp for someone starting out. It really isn’t to bad though. Orange isn’t a sound that everyone prefers as well. Thanks for commenting and stick around for other guitar gear and music videos!
It was a new idea for a video and just got caught up in the two angles instead of the sound. There are lots of things to do differently for sure. Thanks for the comment!
its a solid state amp so up to about 11 or 12 o clock the gain really doesnt change the color of your sound very much and it functions more like another volume, especially when the overdrive control is rolled back. if you wanna know rolling off the gain sounds like just imagine someone picking up the amp and walking away from you

Devan Bishop Do you think this thing could handle hip pop? like would the bass sound weird?
How do you use it through the computer? You say the headphone jack right? Right into the interface I assume, do the cabs just work without needing to install anything?
So I see now this needs a different answer and I would say yes. You don’t need to install anything into the amp. You do need drivers to use the interface, unless you have a Mac.
Is you’re home studio running off of a plastic table
It was but not anymore 😂
Bro 4:08 is so clean
Thanks man I appreciate it!
Devan Bishop are you using pedals to create that sound? Or what are you using?
Just the amp!
Got a used one. Sounds surprisingly not like anything on any reviews. Too noisy and fuzzy.
Yeah some people do get a lot of fuzzz and I did have some but nothing I couldn’t deal with for 100$
@@DevanBishop can you suggest any upgrades under 200, good sir?
Do you mean for this amp?
@@DevanBishop yes
Hey, which is better: this or Fender Champion 20?
That’s a good questions. Maybe I need to do a video on that sometime soon.
Devan Bishop if you’re familiar with the amp, a quick feedback would be really appreciated :) I’m hearing a lot of good things about both of them, but that choice boggles me
Yeah I understand. The problem is finding someone that has one haha
should i get this or the vox pathfinder 10?
No idea my friend. I’ve only played the crush but I know this one is a great price!
can you use a distortion peddle with this amp
Yes for sure! Thanks for the comment!
Devan Bishop where do you plug it in?
Just run chords into the pedal and then into the amp. It don’t believe it has a separate amp pedal like Marshall does.
Devan Bishop yeah my amp has an input for the plug and a input for headphones. So where do I plug in the the peddle? Do I plug it into the headphone socket?
If it is a separate pedal like boss just run it like a normal pedal
Are u using a pedal?
I believe I was just using the amp for this one.
Devan Bishop ohh okay thank you
Mine is perfectly working after 2 years of using orange crush 12 and it's loud in bed room practice.
Yeah it’s a great amp for the price
Can someone tell me the dimensions of it?
does anyone know if it works with a boss-ds1 pedal
it sure does!
@@DevanBishop it doesnt wrk on my crush35rt
Really? Does it sound bad or what happens with it?
@@DevanBishop Going to Dirty via the pedal, the sounds stays clean but really loud and sharp. sounds terrible.
@@tjridez6331 That is terrible. Try adjusting the tone knob and the treble and gain on the amp
Does this amp have good distortion
It’s 100$ so it is what it is but really it’s not bad.
Wish you would have ripped on the headphones Jack cool amp though
Vox Pathfinder 10
Crush is good too :)
WE HAVE THE SAME GUITAR AND AMP-
Nice! That’s legit!
I can't find a good tone with this
It won’t be perfect, or close really, but for the price, it’s a decent practice amp.
im with you
especially when i plug my boss ds1
@@alexandretravassos5255 Im sure it's my guitar
&ure what guitar are you using
I’m trying to find a practice amp and all there is are these emulator amps that sound like ass and can’t take pedals for shit.
Well unless you’re willing to drop some money you won’t get anything perfect. This is meant to be a solid small amp for someone starting out. It really isn’t to bad though. Orange isn’t a sound that everyone prefers as well. Thanks for commenting and stick around for other guitar gear and music videos!
I can recommend you Cort CM15R
15 WATT AMP with decent quality sound with decent overdrive and reverb effects
why orange crush 12 no sound without gain??
It was a new idea for a video and just got caught up in the two angles instead of the sound. There are lots of things to do differently for sure. Thanks for the comment!
its a solid state amp so up to about 11 or 12 o clock the gain really doesnt change the color of your sound very much and it functions more like another volume, especially when the overdrive control is rolled back. if you wanna know rolling off the gain sounds like just imagine someone picking up the amp and walking away from you
You got it!
