I’d love to see a long form video on the topic. I have some very firm opinions on cutting vs. losing weight vs. strength training, but I’d be interested in seeing what conclusions you can draw with the contacts you have.

Thanks for commenting, glad there’s some interest here to see a longer vid on it! I’ll see if I can make it happen. I’d also be curious to know what your opinions on the topic are, if you don’t mind? It can give me some more areas to dig into if I make the vid

Question for you. I’m a 41 yo blue belt competing for the first time. Comp is in a lil over 2 months. I’m competing in the featherweight division (154.6) and I walk around between 155-160. What’s the safest way for me to get to the necessary weight limit for the comp? Gradually Reduce my portions? I don’t want to sacrifice muscle mass. Thanks!

Calorie deficit, high protein. Use a calorie calculator online, track your weight and calories every day. This is a whole skill in itself, you should do a lot of research!
