Making a Banana Split the Correct Way!

- The banana split is a classic yet so many people mess it up. They use the wrong ice cream or the wrong toppings. Ugh.
Here’s my rendition of a proper banana split!

In the northeast we split one banana lengthwise, add the 3 scoops/toppings, whipped, nuts and maraschino. You were close. 😂

This is how I make a banana split: I say, "hey banana, time to go."😊

I usually give the banana a stern look, hand it an axe and gesture towards our pile of dried logs, and then I tell it “Hey, that firewood isn’t gonna chop itself!”
Well that’s one serving just 4 more for the other guests 😂

Hi! I work at the restaurant that invented the banana split! 100% correct, but instead of three cherries, we now do two cherries and a little American flag on the middle dollop!

I'm not a huge ice cream and sweets person but that looks great and I love how adamant you are with this recipe. Most of your recipes have a disclaimer "there are no rules you can use whatever you like" this was a cool deviation. Cheers.

Watching gus eat it made my day. I remember when my cat "dude" got into my ice cream and when i yelled his name he looked at me all innocent with whip cream all over his nose.

@@OMG420 same i just avoid them I used to be able to eat them as a kid but as I got older I noticed that I got sick after eating them so I never ate them again I don’t think I haven’t eaten them in about 15 years now

Very nice, worked at BR the 31 flavors as a teen. Cut the banana down the middle after peeling only halfway using the rest of the skin to make it look better . But it all taste the same at the end of the day❤

Funny, I was just having this conversation today about the correct ingredients and technique for a banana split...and please split the bananas like you did. Cutting the bananas into slices ruins it!

There's no right or wrong way to make a banana split.. I hate it when people try to tell you that you are doing something wrong. When There's no wrong way with doing anything.. next time someone will say that you are making root beer floats wrong 😆 🤣 😂 😹

The restaurant that invented the banana split used pineapple. Since then there have been a few variations but pineapple is the OG.

Be really careful feading cats dairy, especially male cats. i had to learn that lesson the hard way. (My boy got a UTI)
dairy caused uti?? I thought he would just poop himself since cats are lactose intolerant
@@lavone5541 it can cause UTI too, I can't say my cats UTI was directly linked to him having dairy but after he had one I looked up things that give cats UTIs and giving them dairy is one

Tillamook is only brand I buy.
Maybe this school year you could show us the 5 mother sauces? You've done them all really but u don't think most people know.. You could do it in the format of one sauce per video, then make a video on all 5 together once they're all done to help reduce waste. Heck, you could take videos from the past and do it.

Kevmo doesn't seem to be lacking in content. He's got what seems like hundreds or thousands of videos, and I have no trouble scrolling through them and finding one I haven't seen, yet.
@xpurg8d to be truthful, I haven't looked through his history, he might already have this idea in a video. It is more about education for people that aren't in the industry.
For the content part, it's more of a bonus.. not sure if you've made videos before.. but you can get burnt out of ideas sometimes. Not saying he was...
