Kynance Cove & Lizard Point, Cornwall | The Best Beach in England

- Is Kynance Cove the best beach in Cornwall, or even the best beach in England? We think it could be! Before heading there we went to Lizard Point with the most southerly cafe in the country, before heading down to the old lifeboat launch at Polpeor Cove. We saw some beautiful seals and then went for a walk along some of the coastal path to a nice spot where we had our lunch (and could still see seals! We could have walked to Kynance Cove but instead opted to drive so that we would have it nearby when we wanted to leave. Just as well we did because although we couldn’t fly the drone to get some epic drone shots of Kynance Cove, we met a new friend and chatted for ages. We then rushed to get the last chips from the fish and chip shop and watched a beautiful Cornish sunset from the car. Want to see the best places to visit in this part of England? Been there several times and it doesn't show its true self until the tide is fully out. The beach opens up like you could not imagine, the place is beyond describing with words.

Just back from there, we stayed at an amazing camp site, Kynance camping, 5 mins walk from the town and half hour walk from lizard point, very magical place.

Ah thanks, John! I know I was gutted about the drone, there’s a military base not too far away so I think that was why!!
The Navy have an airbase about three miles away and a satellite field only about 1/2 mile from Kynance Cove. Lots of low flying Hawk trainers.
Fine for you to big up Cornwall but try to exist here out of the 12 week season mate !!!

I'm going here at the end of august visiting Cornwall from Leeds the only thing is we will have our dog with us and I read it's got a dog ban which is ridiculous but I'm not gonna let It stop us I'll take the fine if it comes to that was there many dog on the beach when you was there?
Hey Lee! Not sure about the dog ban but there were definitely 2 or 3 while we were there. Hope you have a great time in Cornwall!
Try this site for info on the dog bans thecornishdog.uk/beat-the-ban Most beaches only apply restrictions between 10-18 up to the end of September. Silly really as humans make more mess and the dogs absolutely love being on the beaches.
