As a Newquay resident it’s nice to see a Vlog that shows Newquay in all its glory. It’s not all about getting drunk and fighting which some people like to portray it, it’s a great place to live ❤
Nice one Jimmy. We agree! It’s a wonderful place to live ❤️
American here, my first solo trip to Europe and out of the states was to the U.K in 2003 for two weeks and I randomly chose Newquay as a place to stay because I was in my early 20’s and I wanted to explore Cornwall during the day and have a place with a good nightlife. Stayed at a great hostel with a great international crowd. I think I ran into one fellow yank the whole time ha ha ha. Cornwall is an absolute gem and Newquay was a fantastic host. All these years later I’ve become obsessed with travel but you never forget your first trip abroad. Cheers to Newquay!
Hi Will 👋🏼 so pretty much twenty years ago! That’s amazing, Charlotte would have been about 13 years old when you were here 😂 there still is a great international crowd, we have a lot of surfers who visit from Spain/Portugal as well as a big Polish contingent. As well as that we still get heaps of visitors from Europe and elsewhere 🌎 we absolutely love Cornwall to bits and can’t think of a better job than running around and exploring all of it!
Brilliant vlog, got the vibe just right
❤️❤️❤️
I really loved the light you have shined on my home town here. It’s a beautiful place, you did a great job of getting that across x
Geddon me ansum!!! ❤️
Great in summer, sometimes Spring and Autumn. Winter its grim.
Actually, this Spring was better than summer this year!!
I love the winters in Cornwall, wild seas, great surf, empty beaches. It’s what you make it.
Huers hut was renovated in 1835, it’s been there for a lot longer than that.
1300s we found out 😉
We are going to Newquay in 2 weeks (from The Netherlands) can't wait!!! 🥰🥳
Woohoo!! We hope you have the most beautiful weather 🙏🏼❤️
How was Newquay? I used to go every yr as a kid and I am going again every yr from now on. I want to move there now I have the means but just need a small part time job to keep me busy and active. I love the water and scuba diving is the best thing ever also going into caves. What a joy. I am going to show all this to my girlfriend as she has never done anything like it being a city girl working in a lab for the chem industry.
It must feel so awesome to be back where you come from, love the scenery there as well. Going to be interesting to follow you in the UK. Cheers Judy qld
Yes! It feels so wonderful, we can’t wait to explore more of the UK 🤩 thanks Judy ❤️
I was there five years ago, it's a wonderful place, I loved it very much. I would love to be over there till the end of my live.
Wunderschön Christine ❤️😍❤️ I hope you get your mystery inheritance soon 🤣
😇😇😇

Thank you Stefan! We are finally departing our dearest little Newquay community, will you take care of it for us? 😊 Cornwall is such a wonderful place, there’s so many places we still haven’t been to. We discover new spots all the time! We have another Newquay video here:

@@cjexplores yes! i still live here ☺❤
@@zannaxz awesome! Well, if you see us around don’t be a stranger 😁✌🏼
@@cjexplores that would be cool! I'll make sure i won't 😊
Do you know how lucky you are? Growing up in Madchester has been grey and hard. I am looking to move to Cornwall, hopefully Newquay because life is too short:)
I grew up there in the sixtees, started surfing there in 1967 about, still surf at 64 years old. Best result quarterfinals at Dubai open this year at 64. Yipppee
Amazing! Must have been a completely different place in the 60’s
@@cjexplores yes it was, such a contrast between the conservative militaristic mentality of the old farts and the lovely happy atmosphere of the flower power, Beatles, hippies, and start of surfing. I used to be out alone escaping school and freezing with no wet suit. In trouble always for being seen with the wrong people without proper jobs. I sold Peaches’s on the beaches and the police couldn’t arrest me.
@@lawtonloraine4144 🤣 that sounds like a life well lived to us! There’s a very nice atmosphere in Newquay now. It’s really developing a strong community spirit especially throughout the wintertime when the tourists are away 😉 and then the silly season starts and the sun shines and everyone gets super busy again! ❤️
@@cjexplores that is so nice to hear that things become nice there again. It’s 50 years since I left there but I will visit soon. Nice to meet you, you are both nice people. Good luck in all you do
@@lawtonloraine4144 thank you Lawton ❤️ lovely to meet you too 😊

I new you grew up in Cornwall because you really talk passionately about it and your heart is definitely their . I wish I visited Cornwall instead of Eastbourne . It was nice there but we had no time to visit Cornwall . Are there any national parks a long the coast of Cornwall that are untouched? Thank you for your amazing video
Awww 🥰 yes there are so many AONB’s along the Cornwall coast. Just have a look on google maps and you will see so many places which are coloured green and protected land ❤️
Please can I ask where you got your coat from at the beginning of the vid, love it.
of course, it's from an Australian brand called Ghanda, they do ship internationally and have a lot of really nice gear!
Thanks so much for the reply, will be checking the company out pronto ❤

I came searching this place after reading 'The London crime king' book from wattpad.
Never heard of the book but happy to have you here 😁
Nice 😢

Well hello neighbour 👋🏼
@@cjexplores I’m not a fan of it tho always rains
@@Cllxm18 the summer has been pretty good you gotta admit 😉
@@cjexplores yeah I think so too but when winter comes it’s hell
@@Cllxm18 you gotta make some money during summer and then get outta dodge for January 😉
You should have visited maharajah Indians restaurant
😂 I think that place needs its own separate guide entirely 😂
Love cornwall but not there lol bit too kiss me quick for me,anyway great vid
Hi Stewart, please expand on the saying “kiss me quick” 😅
@@cjexplores hey there,as i said do love cornwall and devon very much,i live in area of outstanding natural beauty so love to seek out lovley places,i just feel that many places in cornwall have become a carbon copy of every other seaside town,i know you can find quiet unspoilt coves etc i just wish places like newquey were not so much of a tourist hub,i live on an island wich has a few seaside towns wich in the summer do go a little mad but not to a major extent,i will be back in the west next year.
@@stewartfooter3580 ahh I see. I do think if you showed us a picture of each town I’m sure we could pick them out!
There definitely are some companies doing their best to expand to all towns in Cornwall. But that’s just capitalism isn’t it?
We all feel as though we could experience our childhood memories when we are adults but sadly, things change 🥲
@@cjexplores kiss me quick hats etc and rock shops lol
@@cjexplores you are right in alot of ways,i wish we could slow things down sometimes but it is very hard,i feel sometimes people go to a place and look but do not really see the beauty of a place,if you like nature, sandy beaches and alot of history try the isle of wight one day,we would love to have you.
that man bun though
😂😂🙏🏼👌🏼❤️
