I don’t know how but I’ve managed to keep mine alive for a couple of years in a west facing window. I’ve propagated and shared this plant with a lot of friends. 😊

My string of tears is thriving in full western sun on the sill, currently, here in the Pacific northwest. Actually all the string succulents are doing well for me this year....that is not to say I haven't killed them in the past....there is a little learning curve with them. When I researched light requirements I find recommendations for zero direct light, but I find that to be inaccurate care info. That being said, I will probably pull them a little deeper into the house as the summer temperatures get here. Thanks for featuring this one, Summer....I didn't know the blooms were pleasing smelling!

I have a small one that I got the first of the year before all of this crazy happened, and it's in a 5 inch pot and doing great so far, it has some trails but I actually wound one of the trails around the top and it has rooted up. I find that if I just let this plant be in the sunny location I have it in and don't water it only when I see the beads pucker then it seems just fine. I was afraid to get it at first but now I'm glad I did. Thanks again Summer, have a great day, XOXO see you tomorrow.

Beautiful plant! I thought I got a pearls once but it was tears! I absolutely love their flowers. They all have the same flowers! (Tears, pearls, bananas). Which is amazing. My fastest grower is the bananas. I find if you wait until the beads are shriveled around 25% of the plant THAT’s a perfect time to water. I use a plastic pot (surprisingly) but all of mine are hung in a very hot southern window.

I love all of the curios. I sure wish the powers that be would quit changing the names. It’s hard enough
For the average gal to remember them. That is absolutely beautiful. I have very full and healthy pearls. Still working on banana. And you are absolutely right. Need to keep the light at the top of the soil to keep
It full. I love all the curios.

What an amazing looking plant, it looks like a powerhouse for survival, funny when plants trail like that looks inviting to bug life. Looking at building a programme that has 100 plants programmed into a calender that tells me lots of data, a personal assistant. There are apps for that but id prefer the geek version tailored and personal, essentially if you do enough plants you could keep busy for 15 hours a day being reminded constantly of your schedule.
