That old Barracuda body held up amazingly well considering the amount of roll over it took. I know it's been reinforced to meet racing safety regulations, but still. I think old Bob either got nervous or wanted to show off for Jay. Still, he looks great for 80, I kinda doubt I'll be driving a 2,500 hp car when I hit his age.

Everything was going good until they hit that bump. And with the engine in the back the steering wasn’t there so the car was going to do whatever it wanted at that point

on the turn around gassing it. That car is my favorite wheel stander. I use to watch him when I was a kid. Crazy.

Thats what I said... he's been driving this car as a drag racer for 50 years which is only going straight. He didn't realize his high speed in tge turn would make him flip due to the weight

I saw him loose a rear wheel at York US 30 Dragway in York Pa. in the late 70s. There was no crash though. The crew went down and put another wheel and tire on it and he brought it back up the track the wrong way on two wheels! Quite a showman!

Engine sits so high, the car is top heavy. Like a ship with no ballast, they just tip over with the slightest sideways motion.. Truly sad.
I thought it was deliberate destruction derby style. But when he he lifted his foot off the accelerator the car started to go out of control he should have reduced acceleration while applying a little break.
Jay finally rides with his here, and his hero almost killed him. Still a sweet ride though...
My grandmother parked her car into the local post office and they took away her license, thankfully she wasn't in a 2500hp 'Cuda. Did 30 grand in damages though!
