Since a few weeks, I started a BSH campaign myself and my characters are currently exploring the ruins of Alissar, once the capital of the Dust Empire. Yeah I think we'll need some in-universe clarification on how subtle this spell is. What does the casting look like? How does the physical effect manifest? Probably not entirely feasible to pull this one off in front of a colosseum filled with people.

The contrarian in me was tempted to put them where the Dust Empire ended up and just go "well they were called that by their REALLY southern neighbours off the edge of the map" - but then my desire to put frosty handlebar mustachio'd sword and sorcery barbarians into the world won out and they got their spot in the cold up north.
