For those wondering, there's a big difference between diving in a cenote, cavern diving in a cenote, and cave diving in a cenote. Make sure you know what you're signing up for. Diving in an overhead environment (I.e. cavern or cave) is not for everyone.
Most divers agree that unless you're cave or cavern certified you shouldn't be diving in any cenote with an overhead environment.
Others may say if you have over 100 dives and at least Advanced Open Water or equivalent, then you may be OK, provided your skills are up to date, decent, and you have a good guide.
Remember, there's nothing underwater worth dying for.
@Alan Devin do you really think spamming RUclips is a good advertising strategy?
@Draven Rocco ow another spammer to report.
Thanks for this, I have only done 10 dives and was wondering about the difference.
@@Matt-sn1xh no worries.
Life begins where fear ends🙏
Ain’t that the truth 🙌🏻
My wife scuba dived with the British Army club while serving in Cyprus, oh must be 30 years ago. Even now she would be game on for this experience. Lucky you Christy.
This video is one of the best I’ve seen on RUclips in a long time!! When i tell you my jaw dropped!!! I’m so inspired to visit the Yucatán sooner than later... as a solo traveler, how easy/hard has it been to meet other people right now?
I had the best experience when I went to Cozumel and Playa del Carmen a few years ago and promised myself I'd be back to explore more of Mexico when I could. These videos are just making me fall more and more in love with Mexico.
Such a good video love it , can’t wait for my trip to tulum
Your laugh makes me so happy 💕 I hope you have a great year and that it’s filled with more joy and travel
This is such a great video christianne!
I miss diving so much, thank you for sharing your moments with us and allowing us to live through you! Your instructor was the cutest!
Such a beautifully made video, from beginning to end. The way you film and edit is so wonderful, Christianne. I loved your Colombia series for the same reason and this is an instant classic 🙌💃
I am so envious of you still getting to have all these amazing adventures. Diving is definitely on my list of things to do, but watching you do it here gave me mad anxiety. Crazy crazy stuff, but amazing to watch. One of my fave videos yet!
The Cenotes were beautiful lovely Christie!!! ❤ What an amazing experience!!! 😊
I really enjoyed this video and so glad you are well and enjoying your time in Mexico.xx
Wow both dives looked amazing! The one with the cloud looks unreal!
You envigorate my soul and mind when I see you doing these outdoor activities. You're such a brilliant woman
WOW!!! I love this vlog!!!! I’m a scuba diver too so I can totally feel the excitement of diving other than the ocean!! It doesn’t look like a different planet!!! This is totally gonna be on my list!!! Thank you!!!!!!! I’m so in awe!!!
woooooow! This has to be one of my favourite of your videos to date; what an incredible dive!
Aw yay thanks so much ❤️ it was an incredible experience
Watching during my break at work today. Loving the vids from Mexico so far ❤️
Hope work is going well ☺️❤️
That is just incredible!! You just fired up my bucket list urge to dive in a cenote!!
And I always love your energy😍
Yayyy 😍 I completely got reenergised first my love of travel and adventure after these dives!!
That was such an awesome video! That footage looked incredible! Props for taking on the extra burden of filming in that already demanding situation! I laughed when you said "hard to imagine I'm a rescue diver"! I have my "advanced" open water cert but guarantee I could't put a weight belt together properly. Thanks for the awesome video! Always looking forward to your next
Very cool video. Thanks for taking us along for the dive. Victor was so nice and had a great sense of humour.
Pleasure! Haha he did 😅
I went freediving in both those cenotes about three years ago, loved going back there with your video! :) Angelita is so cool, agree with it feeling like a different planet!
Wooowww so impressive Freediving to those depths in Angelita! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
That's so amazing! Please do more dive related content😍
This reminded me of my one and only time I scuba dived in Turkey way back. Great vlog.
I just discovered your videos and am loving being able to vicariously travel and adventure through you while I'm stuck quarantining because of Covid.
I love your videos, and seeing cenotes and Tulum again! I love Café Care Feliz! Very cool coffee shop in Tulum, with books and food. 😍
What an awesome experience, although that cloud freaked me out big time. I definitely would've had a panic attack. It's so cool seeing all your adventures in Mexico, thank you for sharing yet another great video :)
Awesome ! I dived dos ojos, I will definitely go back to see the rest
Its magical, as if you entered another world ! thank you for sharing your experience😍
Looks so cool! Would love to go diving sometime. Hope your enjoying Tulum!!
Fantastic video, the last dive location looked sensational!
All I can say your videos are very inspirational! 👍

Deffo pleased with my decision ☺️ thanks!
One of my favorite videos 😍
Cenote Angelita is awesome! Love going through the layer
Que bonito video, Mexico es increíble, cada estado es único!
Happy Holidays.. ❤️
The guide was amazing.
Amazing experience
Can't wait to try diving in cenotes when I am back in Mexico.
That last cenote was very cool. Kinda spooky too! I need to scuba...
This video is wonderful!
OK I’m not about that creepy cloud😂😂😂
Hahaha I was thriving off the creepy cloud 😂😂
Here I go being early again 😂 i love your videos ♥️♥️ thank you for uploading

Thanks Haxter 🥰
Loving your videos. Xx
One can sit comfortably at home watching life pass in front of us..😭 or.. do what you do...💃🏊♂️🚵♀️🧗♀️🤸♀️🌋🏖🏜🍹...🤔..congratulations Christianne..!!
The dive guide loves his career! ☺️
I wrote you yesterday about your prior report on the one bedroom apartment that you found.
This cave diving segment was informative and some nifty camera work too. When I was there in January, I went to Cenote Cristina and Escondido to swim, not dive. While at the latter cenote, I met a German woman and Tulum resident who was a certified cave diver and had just finished her dive with two Eastern European clients. They had explored the tunnel connecting the two cenotes. She provided a very interesting description.
Later on, I met her at one of the food courts just outside the center. The food court I went to was great. Inexpensive prices, lots of food variety, and they even had live music to dance to if you were so inclined. A very local hangout too.
This is freekin awesome. That pitch black would have given me the 😱
Your guide was the cutest
omg thank you for some Sunday escapism!! if I saw the 'owner' of that cenote, I would've swum in the opposite direction faster than the speed of light 😅
Pleasure ❤️ hahaha I really was in shock when I saw her!
super cool video! seeing that crocodile must of been amazing :O .. I have never dived before, only snorchelled as I got astma therefore a fear of not being able to breathe, so diving worries me a bit but I do love snorchelling and I am a strong swimmer so diving defo is on my bucket list :)
I’ll be going to Tulum in February so this will be super helpful!
Nice! Deffo recommend hitting up the cenotes 😍😍
i dived in Aruba and caracul gonna make this Casa Cenote Tulum on my list thanks much you rock girl
Tulum's diving scene is a unique mix of cenotes and reefs. Just offshore of Tulum, exists the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve. Most of this area is inaccessible, but some local operators have permits to dive these untouched sections of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef.
Wow this inverted underwater cloud experience looked amazing, I can’t believe I’ve never tried scuba diving yet I’ve swam professionally when I was young , this is something I totally want to do one day for sure 👍🏻Great video Christianne
You must try! It’s a compleeeetely different experience to life on land 😜
The part of you trying to put the wet suit on in the water killed me😂❤️
😂😂😂
Awesome adventure!
So cool!
Cool video. It was a great day :)
awww that coffee shop is closed now. Thank you for your take and share of the cenotes. Have you experienced other cenotes to recommend?
Wow what a beautiful video upload thanks for sharing with us
Amazing! 🥰😻
Pleaseeeeeemake a step by step video on how you edit your videos, find music ect! i'd love to see that! xx
I can’t believe you did those alone 😭 I need your bravery
Amazing!
I didn't known you can do it in a cenote. Mahalo. I'm doing that next.
Cenote Angelita resembles a pond in the jungle. It has a 25 metre diameter. The green is everywhere. Unlike other cenotes the water of Angelita is greenish.
Anjelita is the creepy cool looking cenote. El pit is a must do which is part of dos ojos and it also has a cloud. My favorite. 🤙
Oh nice, I’m excited to dive through other clouds 😅
Thank you
That's how you do a thumbnail!!
🥰🥰🥰
On my diving bucket list.
🙌🏻🤿
@@BackpackingBananas how much did those 2 dives cost please?
179USD for 2 cenote dives. More prices on their website: www.kooxdiving.com/precios/
I fell when you start singing
I study tourism and today I had an exam and this diving cave was included in one of the questions!
Oh no way! I hope you got the answer right 🌚
@@BackpackingBananas i hope so too because i didn't remember it and i just made a guess. I tried to remember this vlog but blank haha
And oh that crocodile! Damn! It’s so close!!! It’s like you were in a cage with the croc!!!!
Was that a Crocodile?! 😱 Hope this Diving Shop still exists when me and Hubby come over in 2022 🤞 Do you have to have a licence for diving there?
We would be terrified to scuba dive in pitch black like that 😬
Your videos are making me want to move to Mexico. My spanish is very bad até the moment anyways ...
I couldn’t see it properly. What was the owner of the cenote??? 🤔
The GoPro didn’t pick it up well but it was a crocodile!!
Backpacking Bananas oh my goodness I would have been freaking out.
Does anyone know if this cenote has been covered in any book? I need propper literature for my grad paper
8:16 lololol
I love your swimwear. Where do you get it?
I really want to.get to South America in 2021. Are Brits allowed in there now
It is good to see Victor is an England fan with his team jacket!! What was that animal at the water side???
Haha yaas 🙌🏻 That was a crocodile! 🐊
@@BackpackingBananas OMG! You would not be seeing me in that cenote!!! I had to look up 'panchita':
"A really cool girl, someone who is always there when you need it, someone you can trust. A pretty girl with a great sense of humour. Best friend you'll ever find!"
I am not sure I would trust a croc with a good sense of humour!!!
Hahahaha 😅😅
I got claustrophobia with the second cenote
Uau...Ameiiiii 😃
i would be so scared
I’m so confused what was it that they saw that “owned the cenote” 😂
Hey how are you I miss you x
"hola buenas dias un cafe por llevar gracias"
☕️☕️☕️
👍
Check out Cenote Dos Ojos!
I hope to dive in this one next time! 😍
What animal was the owner of the cenote
A little bit of olive oil or sesame oil and you're in the wetsuit no problemo !!
🐊😳
Love from Adeel Karachi Pakistan
Was that an alligator?
Wait what was the animal that they called "owner of the cenote" I didn't see anything and she never said what it was 🥺
It was a crocodile! The GoPro didn’t pick it up too well 😅
hola
Hola!
Are you guys certified scuba divers and do you guys have your own scuba gear like wetsuits and dive gloves and dive hoods and dive boots and dive fins and dive masks and scuba tanks and bcd and regulators to breath from and breath underwater with scuba regulator how long did it take you guys to do your scuba training and how does it feel to breath underwater with scuba regulators you guys
🍌
Not quite sure what you saw. You didn't say
Looked like an alligator or crocodile to me. They often live in mangroves
Hasnt your visa expired yet
British citizens do not need a visa to visit and stay in Mexico.
