Scuba diving without a license is almost double the cost. And for the license, you have to do a 200m swim, or 300m snorkel. I also wasn't too much comfortable with swimming. But believe me, you can snorkel for 300m very easily. I'm going to motivate you all to do a Open Water Diver certification.
Swimming skills gives you confidence. The truth is if you are a non swimmer it will be very difficult to do better and challenging dives around deep reefs and currents, night dives wreck dives, especially in liveaboards, or remote dive sites all over world. In India we do have very limited dive sites with good visibility and plentiful marine life. It's imperative to be proficient in swimming, or else diving for just selfies and vlogs just don't worth it, except someone is looking for one-time experience. You must still try some swimming lessons before starting to scuba diving.
Thank you for sharing!! ♥️♥️ Now you gave me more confidence! We are going to Maldives for our anniversary and we are planning to do scuba diving there! Wish us luck 🍀 😊
Swimming is a MUST to become a diver to better manage any underwater hazards. You can get away with not knowing swimming if you are doing this as a one time thing to strike it off from the bucket list like a "Discover Scuba/Scuba Intro" as shown in this vid. But that does NOT imply "Scuba Diving does not require you to know the skill of swimming". I'd refrain from making such generalised statements OR kindly be more specific by saying something like "Scuba intro as a one time experience does not need swimming skills". Plus this is not deep diving at all, as you are only 10m max below water. Real fun is when you get certified and be a diver i.e. you can dive on your own anywhere in the world. Definitely one needs to know swimming to become a certified diver who dives as a hobby/passion, as it is a pre-requisite for certification. If you love diving, I encourage you to get certified. This gave me so much courage. I’m a little late on learning to swim and pools are closing up so I was a little sad but this made me so happy. Can you please let me know the place and the person who took you there. I would love to do them when I’m in Andaman in Dec 🥳
Hi can u plz tell me r they also providing under water video shoot means who's camera was that and the cost of scuba diving plz answer bcoz I am also looking for andaman holidays
How are the reviews if you guys have been doing more traveling I have what are you thoughts on the environment so on and so forth I’m about to go to the Philippines please get back to me
If one can afford an scuba instructor for every drive, then the can dive as safety is taken care by instructor. But nothing like being certified open water diver which will require a person to know swimming.
Wow! Same two questions/hurdles which I still have. 1) I Can't Swim 2) I Can't see Far. For the swimming part, I guess I can manage now after watching so many videos from non-swimmers. But on the later one, how much clearly were u able to see underwater? Where u wearing any Contact Lenses? More details on this would really help me, plssss share us your experience on this regard... BTW, I punched the Subscribe Button :)
Definitely NOT. I’m a Divemaster, certified for more than 20 years and although dive accidents that will require you to swim are not frequent, a catastrophic BCD failure might occur. If you cannot swim, you will definitely panic and probably drown. An out of air situation that requires you to bail to the surface and stay afloat… many things can go wrong. You might need to assist another panicked diver on distress yourself… Scuba Diving is one of the most amazing hobbies in the world so if you’re going to invest the time to get certified, PLEASE, invest some more and learn how to swim.
Kudos to you ..brave girl ..am inspired to give it a go .can you give me the contact details of the scuba trainer/ guide ..will it be possible for them to arrange my trip to the islands ...am truly looking forward to the adventure
I want to know how i go forward under water and how i find my boat without knowinng swim? Nd total time span during diving!? And is there any chance to enter water in ear? What is the temp of water? Please reply mam of this 5 questios
Totally misleading ! Scuba diving requires lots of skills, technical inclination towards the equipments, and getting comfortable with the the unpredictable ocean, swimming as skill gives that chance. Don't underestimate the ocean
This is not misleading. As you can see, the dive instructor himself said in the video - you can do basic Scuba along with assistance without knowing how to swim. It is no where saying you can do advanced scuba without an instructor. The purpose of the video is that people who don’t know how to swim (like myself) can still opt for a Scuba adventure along with a diver. Hope this clarifies.
For anyone getting misguided by this video made for views; you actually need to pass a swim test to get open water certified beyond which real scuba begins
Hi Harshit, this video is not misguiding. It is an experience of how you can Scuba Dive without knowing how to swim but with an instructor by your side. This video is to encourage non-swimmers to try basic Scuba in Andaman which is very well monitored and safe, we have also named the Dive shop. No where it says this is how you get certified for open water. Those are advanced level courses.
It really surprises me that so many people cannot swim. Swimming should be one of the main things you learn when you are young in my opinion. Here in my country everyone learns how to swim from a very young age.
Some people don’t have the opportunity, the means or the money for swimming lessons. I grew up in Ireland and wasn’t in a pool until I was 8 years old!!!!
this video just gave me so much wisdom since I can't swim and scuba diving fascinates me. Thank you for sharing your experience
We are so glad to hear that. Go experience the underwater world! :)
Meee tooo , thank you. So maybe i can do scuba diving next year.

For safety reason, all divers must know swimming. It is OK for just one Discovery Dive.Enjoy the under water life.
If one can afford an scuba instructor for every drive, then the can dive as safety is taken care by instructor. But nothing like being certified open water diver which will require a person to know swimming.

Kindly pls give conract and adress of your scuba driver guide
Non swimmers should only do shallow dives with a certified instructor. Common sense.
Dar laga ki nhi wo batao
Superb video 👍. Instilling confidence in a non-swimmer like me. What is the name of the dive school?
Thanks in advance
Thank you for appreciating the video. The dive school is called Happy Fins in Neil Island.
I'm a bad swimmer and a Scuba Diver!
What they answer if you asking about contact lenses. Just let me inform
Everything you see underwater is magnified, hence you don't need to wear contact lenses. Everything can be seen well.
I want to know how i go forward under water and how i find my boat without knowinng swim? Nd total time span during diving!? And is there any chance to enter water in ear? What is the temp of water?
Please reply mam of this 5 questios
there is instructor who will hold you if you are not confident/first timer
is nose covered by mask, or you have to control breathing from nose
Ek no. Chutku bhai

I’ve been Scuba Diving in Egypt with an instructor before and I’m not a strong swimmer. You can try scuba diving without going for a certificate
