Understanding the Essential Energies

  • In martial arts it is not enough to execute and practice the techniques. It is necessary to be aware of the essential energies that compose them and to exercise them individually. In this way our execution and our martial applications reach greater depth.
    Just as an example, the 搂膝拗步 "touch the knee" technique as taught by Master Ma Hong of Chen style Taiji.
    Nelle arti marziali non basta eseguire ed esercitare le tecniche. E' necessario essere consapevoli delle energie essenziali che le compongono ed esercitarle individualmente. In questo modo la nostra esecuzione e le nostre applicazioni marziali raggiungono una maggiore profondità.
    Solo come esempio la tecnica 搂膝拗步 "sfiorare il ginocchio" come veniva insegnata dal Maestro Ma Hong del Taiji stile Chen.

    Excellent demo especially when practicing both sides...as an idea maybe will be complete if we can do backwards ( ura-ura go) both sides also ...

      Ciao Kostas. Often, especially in Tang Lang Quan, I also perform the techniques while moving backwards.
