I had a 2005 z71 suburban, then a 2014 z71 Tahoe, and then I downsized to a GMC 2019 terrain that has the toggle switches which took me some time to get used to. Watching this I know I will be going to the dealership before the end of the year for a new 2021 z71 Tahoe ❤️

Owned one (2021 Z71) since December 2020 we have just under 25k miles on it. The Goodyear tires are terrible as usual. We have driven it across the US and it’s great for traveling and packing all our hiking gear in. The power tilt wheel doesn’t go high enough for an easy exit. Gets off road nicely, although the low rider rear shocks are the stupidest thing they could have done with an off road vehicle. Apparently they let the intern engineer design that without any oversight. GM really tanked the roll out for the new rear suspension with that huge design miss. Really, no one looked at that and said, something??They drag low like a old set of nuts on bull cow, I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before we tear one off and are stranded in the middle of BFE.
Hopefully the aftermarket world will come up with a modified fix.
Nothing real exciting overall, nice SUV quiet, rides nice, same ole gadgets, gets the job done. Just be careful off road with the low rider rear shocks!
isn't the z71 more than an appearance package? I'm pretty sure the transfer case is different.
I concur about the Z71 front end design and aggressive stance. Premier and high Country are nice, safe and definitely capable for most part the Grille looks great but way too much chrome or chrome plating for my taste but to each their own.

My parents just bought two 2022 Z71’s. 6.3 V8 quad exhaust. That thing is a fucking beast. I’m obsessed with it. Yes I like bmw Mercedes interiors and infotainment more. But I feel like a pussy in my X5 next to these. I’m 40. I don’t need a race car. X5 AWD fits me well. But honestly I’m just scared to drive now. Everyone is crazy. This thing is big but not a lame ass fucking suburban. I love the wheels. If I had to leave the city in a hurry and the highway was packed I could confidently leave the road in this. I wish chevy would make a mini jeep/bronco like version of this I’ll never use 3rd row. But damn it’s stunning

The camera view should have text saying “back” or tires or front. All views look the same. My mom keeps asking me which one is which. Cameras are a mess. Send an over the air update to allow us to delete some of those views.

I don't understand why you can't option a 3rd row seat delete. Not everyone that would like a larger suv, needs the 3rd row seat and would instead like the extra space. It seems like the only thing they are good for is an area for complaining on how tiny they all are. If you need 3 rows, buy a damn VAN or a suburban.

It’s not that bad. It folds flat and the 2021 actually is ok for most adults under 6’2”. I agree with you though- it should be an option
I own an suv with 2nd and 3rd row seats and have them all removed. Folding them will not provide a needed flat surface for all my camping gear and room for my dog. A truck would work with a camper shell but that costs several thousand more plus they usually leak. So a simple solution would be for a manufacturer to offer an OFF ROAD target market suv with the 3rd row seats deleted. It would be nice to have my comment read objectively without instantly replying with a cranky, mean spirited attitude. You didn’t have to reply at all, but chose to take the time. It’s just my opinion and I stand by it. - Barbara :D

No sir- about the only vans with a 4x4 option are Mercedes and Sportsmobiles both of which easily hit 100k - it’s the same principle of buying a full size truck and spending a min. Of 3k for a camper shell. Evidently there are lots of people that need more and secure storage. Buy purchasing a real suv, the covered storage part is already done and there’s no chance for water leaking into the bed.
The steering controls are wacky. When I’m driving I need to control the radio. Volume behind wheel is stupid my parents still forget it’s there. There’s WAYYYYYY too many buttons. They feel scattered. All drive modes should be in one place. Just like bmw. The park and drive should have the 4X4 and lift functions nearby. Similar to Acura MDX. If they copied Bmw and Acura MDX control layouts. They wouldn’t be able to fill the demand orders.
Is this vehicle as quiet, smooth-riding and comfortable as the Genesis GV80? I know they're in different classes, but they have similar prices. Thanks.

My 23 z71 rides amazing 👏 I got rid of my 22 f250 4x4 cause it was killing my back and I was tired of the diesel maintenance. I currently own 3 new hyundais that are great 👍 cars. But I love my Tahoe z71
Good video, I agree, it does looks very aggressive. Question. The new 2021 tahoe and yukon and even the escalade have options of getting the air ride suspension depending on the model/version you pick. My question is, is there a significant difference when driving one with the air and one without air ride??
I'm in the market and want the best ride quality possible. Just don't know if the air is worth the expense if it isn't much of a difference. Let me know please. Thank you sir

@@Phenom-rl5pr I wouldn't say much better but you can feel a slight difference in smoothness. I drove both the 2021 Yukon and the 2021 Tahoe.

4:24. If you buy a package that has blacked out Chevy logos/bowties they should black out the Chevy logo/bowtie on the start up screen too. That one is right in your face every day.

we have a 2021 tahoe with the 5.3 with 7000 miles and its in the shop cause the lifters FAILED!!!! dealer told us that the internal parts are coming from china not USA....last time buying american

An offroad package without a rear locker 🤦🏻♂️
All Toyota off road packages do not have rear lockers.
Chevrolet has always provided automatic rear locking differentials with their truck and SUV platforms. There's no switch because it engages automatically when drive wheel slips. Beats hell out of wishing you had thrown a switch after your already in trouble.
The rear suspension is very low, so stupid , I've seen many reviews about this suspension, hitting rocks and stuck in a concrete, I DONT LIKE IT its enough reason to me not to buy it , (iam fond with old YUKON cars) but now iam going to buy the new land cruiser 2022 so amazing
People that buy these 80k suvs, are not going to take them off road.

We’ve had Chevies for a while. I can’t speak for other dealerships, but ours is very helpful. Their customer service is on point. Not sure if it’s because we’ve bought several vehicles from them, and have known them for a while.

Exterior looks hilariously bad. The aftermarket looking lift kit makes it look so much worse. Can't wait to be driven over by one of these. The lights are pointed directly into my cars cabin so I will be blinded. The vehicle for people that have internal issues

Just an FYI. I know you didn’t say high beams, but the 2021 Tahoe has intellibeam which turns off your high beams when there is oncoming traffic.
