Randy Jackson and his bandmates are phenomenally gifted artists....each in their own right....Randy's vocal range and musicianship are arguably the best in the business....as well as the man on the skins....and keyboards.....Zebra deserves rave reviews for their contributions to the genre..... perfection!
Why is it that all the freakin unbelievably talented bands do not make it big? This band should have been as big as any other band from this time period. How does a band like Motely Crue (whom I like) get huge and Zebra does not? WTF?
@@patriciacaruolo3132 Indeed, they recieved little to no promotion after the first album. Mötley Crüe had more promotion, better material and better produced albums. There is really no comparison when you listen to Mötley's first album Too fast for love and compare it to zebras first album. Zebra sounded much better live than their recordings.
I'll tell you what I want ... I want to go back in time and revisit where and when I want. First stop....this concert ... ...seeing how I missed this gem. Listen to his wail at the end!!! Best wail in the history of wails.
Zebra incredible song ! I carried you and this song in my car and house when I relocated in ...1991. The same time this music video graphic captured moment in Brooklyn NY. 1991. I'm listening again .thanx..from Mike m.
rockin 80s tune, and a song that will be in your head for the next 4 hours!! Thank God this is youtube, if I was listening to this as I was driving, I'd be 40 miles over the speed limit!
WBAB 102.3 FM Long island NY in the 80s this reminds me of ZEBRAs home town stomping the club scene...back then..always was playing, HAMMERHEADS , MAD HATTER OF Stony brook. Sundance Bayshore NY..good times back then..
Memorized....vocals are so impressive! The power and range and phrasing are amazing. Take note, the sound is coming from a single microphone point in a club, and the sound is still incredible. Thanks for the musical treat!
There's a possibility that I'm in the audience, 3rd row or closer. I saw Zebra there a LOT. Great club. Still have the ripped up L'Amour t-shirt. (Don't wear it any more, but I can't bring myself to throw it away!)
i played Tamas and Paistes because of this guy, Guy. :D i know he plays yamahas now and i sonor, but those were the days. i had this kit in the same finish. he used to use that monster black kit back in the 80s. he is a legend.
Alright everybody. I just have to say something here ok. First off, fell in love with Ed and Van Halen in 1978 and started playing guitar soon after and I'm still playing. Anyway, also just a huge rock fan forever, ok. Especially the 80s And 90s. It's unfortunate, but it's the real truth here ok. Yes, there are countless bands over the years that have been just amazing !!. There used to be and there still is numerous guitarists over the years that were seriously talented and, they were amazing also, even if you and your friends have never heard or seen them. There is and always has been a strange phenomene out there in the world once you really look into this. Why are some bands incredibly famous and rich and other's almost invisible or unknown even if they were around for 20 years or more. There really are some bands that really should be famous not only because there music was great but they were also great as real musicians, especially live !!! Well, I've attempted to gather all of the relevant information and facts about this phenomene for well over 30 year's and I started this quest in 1978 after purchasing my first album ever. That was VHs first album and mine also. I'm writing this and talking about this today because I now finally have the correct information to give a accurate answer to this strange phenomene. First off, I won't even mention the first 25 facts about this because I'm certain you guy's already know all of those, ok. So, now, that leaves me with like a few thousand more fact's that most of you have probably never even considered before. But, I'm also not going to mention even 1 of those today, because I've finally actually answered this question without using any of those either, ok. Well, here it goes guy's, I'm now going to finally answer this question once and for all for every single person out there today. First, life's not fair at all and it never will be, ok. Second, everything happens for a reason. No, it does not. That statement is complete nonsense and it's also complete bullshit, ok. Finally that leaves us with the third and final reason which is. There isn't an answer to this question, ok. Yes, logically, this really shouldn't be true. But, It's true, ok. So, there isn't even one answer that gets us any closer to answering this question, ok. In fact, this is just another part of life as we know it that will never be answered. Ever, ok. Once I had figured out the reason for this I planned on bottling it and selling it for a ridiculous amount of money. Unfortunately, in the end, I only ended up with a massive amount of empty bottles, ok. This sucks !!! Yep, this sucks, ok. Also, If you allow it, this question will haunt you forever !! And lead to a feeling of complete unhappiness. I've ended up having to completely abandon my search for this answer, which, was extremely disappointing, ok. Now that left me having to accept that I'm never going to be able to answer this question. But, finally I realized that this actually gave me the answer too this question and it's not even debatable, ok. There is no answer to this question !!! Ok. There is no answer, and, there never will be, ok. I want to thank you all for reading this, and I hope it helps you let go also and not feel bad about it, ok. And, Yes. It totally sucks !!!!
I saw Zebra twice-once opening for Loverboy at Nassau Coliseum and the other time opening for Blue Oyster Cult at Radio City-both great shows!! I miss L'Amour's too...so many great bands played there :)
Damn! Thar band rocks man, Zebra deserves to be in the Hall of Fame, no questions about it. The question I have is the criteria the Hall of fame has in place, to admit bands in the Hall. It's wrong. Take a look at some of the bands that are not in, Alice in Chains, Foreigner, Zebra, and, look how long it took Rush to get in!
Zakk ... these vocals aren't canned. Perhaps it's because he's a talented PROFESSIONAL RECORDING MUSICIAN that he's able to replicate his own songs vocally? Also, a good sound man who can work a board can do a lot with little things ... like reverb
Randy Jackson and his bandmates are phenomenally gifted artists....each in their own right....Randy's vocal range and musicianship are arguably the best in the business....as well as the man on the skins....and keyboards.....Zebra deserves rave reviews for their contributions to the genre..... perfection!
Great!!! Seen them a dozen or so times back in the day. They were absolutely one of my fav bands. Met Randy several times!
Being able to play guitar and sing effortlessly is a true talent! Love Randy and his gorgeous hair!
soozkatt lol I think the guitarist is the cutest but I think randy is pretty hot too Wilber anybody got any weaties
Why is it that all the freakin unbelievably talented bands do not make it big? This band should have been as big as any other band from this time period. How does a band like Motely Crue (whom I like) get huge and Zebra does not? WTF?
Zebra was huge. And they were on MTV in constant rotation. I guess you had to be there and lived it.
Poor management maybe ?? Ijs

Not many vocalists can sound this awesome live!

Best wail in the history of wails.
Awesome 👏🏻 when people actually listen to the bands back before cellphones 📱
Bass player? We don't need no steenkin' bass player! Zebra is awesome... haven't heard this stuff in forever, and it's better than I remember...
He's there, just didn't show him. He's actually playing the keyboard synth and bass pedals.

This band was on fire.
I was there! I saw the back of my head at the beginning before the first zoom in.
i played Tamas and Paistes because of this guy, Guy. :D i know he plays yamahas now and i sonor, but those were the days. i had this kit in the same finish. he used to use that monster black kit back in the 80s. he is a legend.
