I understand if it would take too long, but what about a 3v3 tourney where each team has to have 1 player from each of the platforms? To make it quicker each player could have just 1 life so it is still just a first to 3
I haven't finished the video yet, but I just finished the Roethor semifinal fight, and by God, I don't care who wins the tournament, Roethor is THE Goat. My man is on a whole another level. I was sitting by the edge of my seat, that was the cleanest gameplay I've seen in this game.
I respect the player mindset especially with bread on the line people just wanna win but DANG KENSHI is annoying!!! once sento comes out 9/10 times you’re cooked ! Especially in the hands of Kani it just becomes even harder
I don't like watching Kani, but I appreciate you clarifying that players aren't there to entertain - so many people shit on the players for trying to win by whatever means they think necessary. At the end of the day Kani Mani is the 9 time champion with a considerable amount of money that he can invest or use for a good college, and not Rothor, despite how much we love watching him play.
@@lordlundin6495 everyone’s entitled to their own opinions I’d be one to respect that but yeah 100% when there is money on the line I definitely understand pro players do not care about playing a certain way since the beginning of the rips arena stuff mk1 wise kenshi has always been the same like once sento comes out you are cooked tbh especially bc a lot of good players play the tourneys so they rarely have matchup issues

Hey @R1ps_Arena I love your energy so much, I love the content as always. But I'd have to point out the fact that having two powerhouses on the same team(in Kanimani & Faysal) is totally unfair lol. You should have randomized method where for instance you'd have all the names of the participants in a bowl - you know the UEFA Champions League style and randomly pick LIVE
Why dont you guys make it so people ranked in top 8/10 of the arena leaderboards cant team up for this stand alone 2v2 tournament just because being honest we all knew when we saw that faysal and kani team that they were going to win it all still a great event!
It's pretty simple. If I as a Tournament Organiser would interfere or "block" certain players/teams from playing or signing up because they are "too good", I'm gonna lose all my integrity as a a competitive platform for the players. And rightfully so.
@@R1psArena there's a right and a wrong way of going about it, maybe? If you arbetrarily deny someone from joining a team because of how you personally feel about it, then absolutely 100 percent you'd be an ass for it, but if you used a measurable metric to determine who can join, and applied that rule across the board, then it could work. I'm not saying you should, but if you ever want to do it that's the right way. You should discuss it with the players and your viewers and see if they're on board, because low key some teams were just infuriatingly powerful.

Too many matches so i will just say a couple of things for each team in this long analysis. Kaizen/Bee the reptile masters offered plenty of show, especially Kaizen keeps amazing me every time with how much better he becomes over time, he fought valiantly. VGY/Roethor: Winner of our heart Roethor with that amazing reversal 6-0 i dont think anyone doubts his prowess after this. VGY is always a solid player and fought with the rest of the beasts like he knows best. Sossed/Deniel: Sossed is one of my favourite players, he went down with a big bang. Taking down VGY is not easy and fighting Quan with Shao takes balls. Deniel gave us a show with the double cage combos which made me want to see even more of his gameplay. HOR/Evil carnage: Thats a team i did not expect to happen. Many people including me find EC gameplay lame, but its a money match what else is he supposed to do? He does his best to win as he should. HOR is a machine, if Roethor hadn't gone super saiyan they would definately end up in the finals. Yuvi/MKAzer: Not familiar with MkAzer, seemed like a solid player all in all. Yuvility is arguably the best Tanya i have seen in the arena and he made a great showing as usual. He is a very tough player to beat. Mako/Social: I expected a bit more of a fight from them especially Makoran, but not all days are the same. They did great just for reaching this stacked top 8. Fireaxe/Mouaz: Ive seen fireaxe only once, he hasnt stuck with me yet, just a solid player with good fundamentals. Mouaz i loved his showing because he seems to share the same love for hype mode Johnny as me getting star power in neutral. A true mad lad. Faysal/Kani: Yeah we al knew from the start this combo would win. There are very few people that have shown to be able to steal wins from these two and to win both of them together seems like a long hill to climb. Hardly fair for the rest of the roster but it just goes to show the level of skill these guys have. Congratulations on a very clean win.
Yeah Evil Carnage is cheap as hell. I noticed people in league must be following him. I noticed almost every scorpion and Raiden I face now play like him. They just run away and zone or run away and dash in for one combo, then stay away the entire rest of the match
I haven’t played this mk due to being disappointed with the last game. Fuck kenshi looks so op. Goes from a broken zoner to some of the best pressure I’ve ever seen
I responded in another comment directly to Rips, in where I discuss a criteria-based system, where your proposal could be a criteria (it doesn't have to be, but it can). I'm questioning the long term effects of this - but my understanding is limited of the competetive behind the scenes. I already believe players are using the meta of the tournament rules, which is of course both fair and inevitable. We definitely need to think this through a lot, but I'm glad others are in essence agreeing with me.
@@lordlundin6495 ye. I haven't finished the vid yet, but my kneejerk opinion is what I said above - purely for entertainment reasons. It'd make viewers less certain of the outcome. But idk if I can argue a real competitive reason, since sports are inherently unfair by their own nature.
@@Thevarietysquad my initial proposal was to restrict top players to team up with other top players because it makes the competition less competetive, especially if they go against "lessor" teams. The assumption is that a top 10 player can and often cary an entire team on their own, especially against less skilled players. It's the same reason we have day 1 tournaments or events where the chat can literally buy a winner, which competetively speaking isn't fair, but it's great engagement for the viewers.
@@OcculticaLHP every system has flaws and everything is unfair - admittedly it all depends on what the arena hosts strive for, but I'd like to see closer matches, at least in these "smaller" events. Putting Kani and Faysal feels wrong. If Kani was forced to grab a lower ranked team player, we could expose the lower rank to higher competetive play and also showcase new players, blending both skill and entertainment with feeding the arena and putting new faces on the board. Furthermore, there would inevitably be a Kani X vs Faysal X as opposed to Kani Faysal vs who and what? Sorry for typing so much, it's early and I can't sleep.
