I just got the EMAX Tinyhawk in for review from GearBest. There's already tons of reviews posted on RUclips, so I won't waste your time. Instead of a review, I'll share some TIPS, TRICKS & SHORTCUTS I discovered while setting mine up and getting it ready to fly. You know, you don't have to go into Betaflight to change your Profile. You can do that right at your TX. To change profiles, with your quad powered up, hold the LEFT TX stick in the lower left position. Now, if you push your RIGHT stick full LEFT, you will be in Profile 1 (you should hear your FC beep an acknowledgement). To change to Profile 2, hold the LEFT stick in the lower left position, and then move the RIGHT TX stick full forward (up). To change to Profile 3, hold the LEFT TX stick in the lower left position, then push the RIGHT TX stick to the RIGHT. Each time you change the Profile this way, you should hear a beep acknowledgement from the FC .. or perhaps see an internal LED flash. This is much easier than having to plug into Betaflight each time you want to change Profile. You can also use the TX sticks to do a GYRO calibration and/or an Accelerometer calibration. Won't go into those right now .. don't want to get you confused .. POW! Give it a try. The Tiny Hawk is pretty tame compared to the ET115 V2, which I can fly indoors if I fly it on 2S .. on 3S if you twitch the throttle, it will go thru your ceiling. Happy Holidays Brofessor! POW!
Yeah, I knew about the stick commands to change profiles, but couldn't remember them since I'd never used them before. I'd better get my index cards ready for the next review and some masking tape to make notes on my TX as we've seen in other videos! 😁😁😁 Thanks for the tips, the stick commands are much easier!!! POW!!! 🎅
Oh, by the way... the ET115 v.2 on 2s is still pretty freakin' fast for indoor flying, unless you live in a warehouse!!! Lol. Got mine a few days ago, my review will be outdoors on this one for sure!!!

Hello soul force I’m having trouble setting up the arm switch on my jumper and tinyhawk it’s all binding fine just can’t arm it up any idea
At 9:25 in this video, I discuss how mine, after binding, would not arm. Maybe you are having the same problem. You'll have to make a throttle value or end point adjustment in betaflight or in your Jumper. Check out the video again (click here - 9:25) and see if that works. Let me know how it turns out!!!

I got it bound to my Jumper but had a problem with the sticks not being mapped right and I don't know how to remap it, so what I did was connected it back to my Taranis and applied the same thing to it and worked out perfectly, so thanks for the tips, and I will figure out how to change the stick command on the Jumper so Happy Holidays and Who Dat!! 👍😎👍
In betaflight, on the receiver page, you may have to change it to "AETR" versus what the default is for your Taranis or you may have to reverse a couple of sticks. Holla at me when you got a free minute. 🏈"SUPER BOWL BOUND" Saints!!! POW!!!

I've been looking at the Tinyhawk as a indoor flyer for the winter. I'm glad you liked it, because we tend to like the same birds. So I can buy it with some confidence. Now I didn't understand everything you were doing in beta flight, so I will have to play catch up in that department. Nice first look and indoor flight. Happy Holidays!
The Tinyhawk is a pretty nice flyer. They just released a RTF version that comes with a transmitter, so that should eleminate the need for Betaflight programming. I'll see if I can get my hands on one for review!!! Thanks for stopping by. Happy Holidays to you & family!!!

No, Betaflight software can NOT connect to any drone. Your drone's flight controller has to be Betaflight compatable (usually stated in the description of the drone) and programmable. Mostly found in racers but Betaflight can be used on a few GPS drones as well. Thanks for watching and your question!!!

Mine flies like a bat out of hell. I took it to a field and she was uncontrollable. The goggles cut out and I lost her. Luckily I didn’t give up, I was on a football field but found her a block away, she landed in a yard with a Neapolitan Mastiff, the owner through it in his recycling bin because the ping was pissing his dog off

Hello, Buddy! Man... I hate when I can’t get a quad armed at first. Usually, for me it’s the motors page where I need to agree that I’m of sound mind and body as well as realize the dangers of arming inside. lol 😝 then I turn that switch on and I’m ready for the next nine steps or so. I mean... as long as it doesn’t change back to off when I change pages! Sheesh!! Ha ha! I’m usually good with the stock pids though, so this is a new one. I’m sure I’ll get through it, though. It does sound as if the first pid profile is for indoors, doesn’t it? This whole subject makes me wonder if all my quads might be much faster if I had changed all that by now. Hmmmmmm... ... might try tweaking one in pids, or throttle range I guess. I’ll prolly get this one after Christmas, cuz gifts n stuff. I’ve got so many things I can fly, that sometimes, my not being a reviewer, it doesn’t make any sense to get another one. Lol but... it’s what we do!! One last thing. I’m pretty sure, contrary to the popular culture, I enjoy LOS flying more than FPV. I like seeing the quad in the air as it flys around. Not that I won’t fly FPV, I’m actually pretty good at it. But... after a year or so of owning my goggles... I’m still flying my big quads across the park over three hundred feet away line of sight. Bam!!

Hey bro, I'm a line of sight flyer too. Only since I started reviewing "tiny FPV birds" did I have to get into FPV flying, as you know, it's hard to keep orientation with these little birds over 50 feet away! The factory saved PID profiles (as seen in this video) is a first for me too but are easy to select and change. As far as I know, only EMAX is doing that but it doesn't hurt to check to see if some of your other birds have that already. You'll find that Betaflight will show you three PID profiles, but usually they are blank or just copies of profile #1. Otherwise, I don't mess with the PID settings and I still have a lot to learn about Betaflight!!! Thanks for stopping by brother, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! 🎅🎅🎅

This is an old video I see but my problem in learning this is the procedure that happened between 1:28 to 1:29 ! Yes! You said: "Once I got it bound to my Jumper..." THAT is what I need to see. You skipped the most important newbie need there my friend. I have the Jumper Plus. Mine has 3 different Frsky choices with options within those 3 choices. There is Frsky, Frsky V-8, and Frsky-X. Then each of them have options. I love to get this whoop in the air. It's my first brushless model. I use Bayang protocol on my others and I found the .ini file at MicroWarehouse.com for that which I loaded into my Jumper. I also fly my Bugs 3 and 3 Mini using a .ini files I got from someone on RC Group. I't sure helps me just select and fly. I do understand the channel mappings and can look at those in the menu to see what switch does what. Can you come over tmw afternoon and get me flying? I'll feed you lunch! Lol. I'm 71 and the learning curve is a little steep nowadays. Watch your work always and you do a great job. I'm a self declared "senior" member of the Bugs3 Flying Crew ! B3FC

Awesome job DJ! As you know I'm upset I missed the profiles but from what I hear these factory set pid profiles are not common so it is understandable I overlooked them I guess. Most of the find things I complained about can be fixed by changing profiles. I set mine to profile 2 and rateprofile 2 but I've yet to test it. I'm going to make a follow-up video soon to discuss the profiles and the bind button location.

What remote controller are you using???
It takes precise movements and lots of practice to do this, however, with the right remote controller, it can become somewhat easier!

Mine out of the box is NOTHING LIKE THAT. Super, super touchy. I've got a mini indoor drone, a mavic zoom and I've been messing w this for a half hour. Beginner mode of course, took the throttle all the way down on top of that and still too touchy left and right. About ready to send it back. Any tips?
I'll admit, setting up and fine tuning this little bird can be a bit complicated. I can only suggest that you do more research on RUclips for PID tuning suggestions or perhaps look into using the 'Mocking Bird' program/software for setup. Wish I could help more... Good luck, thanks for watching!

Do you have a backup or ur factory settings? I clicked reset.. on my rtf version.. and now my modes are completely gone.. i have the rtf controller tho.. and cant find any information on how to get everything back to the way it cam in the box. Can you help me?
When this video was produced, Emax had settings for the Tinyhawk on their website that you can "cut & paste" into Betaflight CLI. Not sure if that support is still there, but try going to www.Emax-USA.com. Good luck bro!!!

Hey SF, Was there any problem with binding this to the jumper, considering it is the FRSKY D8 protocol? I'm bidding on a used one and want to make sure it will bind with my old Devo 7E.
I didn't have any problems binding it, but it wouldn't arm at first. As I explained in this video, to get it to arm, I had to make some adjustments (in BetaFlight) for the throttle threshold values and it worked fine after that. I'm using the normal FrSky Protocol in the Jumper... all's good!!! Good luck with your bid.

It seems that you need a lot of help! For starters, I suggest you watch this video for basic setup of the Jumper & how to bind it to any quadcopter - ruclips.net/video/AmXeE9_Qkj0/видео.html The Tinyhawk uses the FrSky protocol and this video shows where the bind button is. There's no off/on switch, simply plug in the battery to turn it on!!! Good luck, thanks for watching!!!

Deviation is the software that runs your Jumper. It is pre-loaded and it does not transfer to the drone. Please watch that video I told you to watch, you will get a better understanding. Also, don't forget to subscribe to my channel!!!

How do you unlock the locked Frequency and channels on the vtx?
I really don't know exactly how to use it, I left mine at factory settings, but there's a button next to the bind button for programming the VTX. To find out what the procedure is and the LED light sequences are, you should be able to find in the user's manual. Good luck, thanks for watching!!!

I can't keep my RTF VERSION still like this, i don't know why he is very fast and very difficult to control can you help me ?
I'm not sure if I can help you. I do not have the RTF version so I am not familiar with that transmitter. If you are familiar with the BetaFlight settings and how to connect to BetaFlight, you may want to check your PID Profile settings. Change to PID Profile #1 and Rate Profile #1 and that should slow it down a bit. Good luck, thanks for watching!!!
I have trouble to bind it with my jumper t8sg, i set my jumper to Frsky protocol, freq-fine 0, freq-coarse 0. Press the bind button and power the tinyhawk, try to bind, and the led getting flash. But it can't connect to my jumper. Can you help me sir?
If the LED is flashing, it means you are NOT bound. Try binding again. If, after you bind and it still won't arm, then follow the instructions in this video (CLICK HERE: 9:13). Good luck, thanks for watching!!!

I'm not sure if I can help you any further than what this video covers. (CLICK HERE) At 9:16, the video tells how to bind & arm the drone. First, you must have knowledge of "how to bind" you Jumper T8SG to any drone. You must also have knowledge of how to use BetaFlight and speak English. Good luck, thanks for watching!!!
You can just press down on the plastic to engage the button. No tools needed.

(as stated in the beginning of this video at 0:34) I'm using the original FRSKY protocol. It may not bind right away because of a need to do a throttle trim adjustment. That's covered later in the video starting at 16:47. (Sorry, I did a lot of rambling in this video and tried as best as I could to explain everything.) SOUL FORCE QUADS thanks for replying SFQ! Got it open and bind on Betaflight as the sticks respond when quad is usb bound on my Mac via Betaflight. New problem is that no bind after I remove from betaflight. Odd.

I changed options in beta flight now my tinyhawk It doesn't respond anything
Try going to the EmaxUSA website. You might find BetaFlight settings there that you can copy & paste into your Tinyhawk to get it back on track. Good luck, thanks for watching!!!

You say at the very beginning that you're not going to review it, then proceed to spend the entire video reviewing, flying. What don't you do? Explain how to get it off the ground.But don't worry, youre in good company. I can't find a single video that starts with the drone on a flat surface and goes step by step, press this, do that. My RTF package arrived 3 days ago and i still haven't flown it because I can't figure out .. is it armed? why aren't the props moving? what do the lights mean? Grrrr!!!
Wishing I could help you but, I never got the RTF version, I'm not familiar with that transmitter, and this video was made for the guys who were having problems with their BNF versions. (what I said was that "I'm not going to re-review it" because there's lot's of videos on RUclips already!!!) Your's probably won't arm because of a setting in BetaFlight software, as I discussed and explained in this video. CLICK HERE - 9:12 Good luck & happy flying!!!
