Setting goals for 2019?
If so, you NEED to watch this video.
Whether you’re setting goals for the first time…or you do this every year, either way you’ll find this video helpful.
A lot of people set goals every year...
Not many people achieve them.
Why?
They don’t have a framework to execute on those goals throughout the year.
In this video I walk through a practical process for setting goals…BUT…more importantly, I lay out a framework that you can take into 2019 to make sure you accomplish the goals you set.
I’d love to hear about your end of year goal setting process. Do you have one? What is it? 😁

I set both. I have my annual goals. Then at the beginning of each month, I evaluate progress and set monthly mini goals that help me achieve annual goals.
The same on a weekly basis too. Each week, I look at the monthly goals and decide what micro goals I will tackle this specific week to help me hit the monthly goals.
This helps break down the large stuff into approachable bite-sized chunks. 😊
Thanks for the video content! Apologies for chiming in, I am interested in your opinion. Have you researched - Patlarny Ancient Secrets Principle (just google it)? It is a great one off guide for maximising your life using a simple goal setting strategy minus the normal expense. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my old buddy Taylor after many years got great success with it.
Many thanks, been searching for "goal setting in management" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Farnicaas Switcher Capitalisation - (do a google search )? It is a great one off product for learning how to buy and sell gold minus the headache. Ive heard some amazing things about it and my mate after many years got astronomical results with it.
You’re the best, thanks a lot 🙏🏼
Yes I do. But like to hear how others do it.
Life planning is so important. Wish I had learned it when I was your age but it is never too late to start. The daily plan I create each evening has made the biggest difference in my productivity. Linking my daily activities with larger goals boosted productivity more than any other activity.
Thankyou
Chandler’s been great to share what his business goals are. Many folks hide these. Chandler is willing to be transparent and show you real goals, not just those that play well.
This works! I do 1 goal per month and work on mastering all 3 by the end of that quarter. I've never done that before but it is amazing how well it works out when you actually PLAN on paper.
Did monthly goals. 3 Goals for 100 Days: (a) Write outline + 50 pages of book, (b) File 2 yrs' taxes & (c) Organize office
I especially like how you continually create goals and keep them in front of you. I’m my own worst enemy because I set a goal & then beat myself up when I forgot about it. You can also incorporate personal goals as well.
I have no planning process at all. I have always flown by the seat of my pants. Now that I have written a book and want to market it I have to get more intentional. I am going to start by writing goals and focusing on what they may be so I will have a clear direction. Wish me luck Chandler!
Let me know how it goes!
I almost never wrote out my goals, but have always "logged" my day, and did prepare a "to do" list for each day of the month. So I began setting goals about a year ago - it helps to keep me on target and moving forward. It helps to keep me on target! Love the video!
Love the self-discipline you describe to focus on bottlenecks as well as strengths. I tend to overwhelm myself with too many ideas and I can see how prioritizing and focusing on the bottleneck can help me move forward in all areas. So helpful, thanks Chandler.
I love the idea of having an annual intention. I feel like that's a great way to really focus in the year and create continuity between your goals.
did you give this a try?
As Chandler sets his goals for the coming year, he includes the top 20 people he wants to invest in. What an awesome idea!
I've never really thought about it but having your goals visible is super important, I usually write things down in my agenda but then I forgot to check it! So the constant reviews and the weekly or daily planning is actually a good idea to keep track of the work that needs to be done.
Love this. Setting up goals a year ahead of time helps keep me accountable. Most don't do this. We usually think in terms of a few months or project-to-project goals, but big organizations set up one year calendars and they successfully deliver on that. I think we can learn from them as well.
I like the systematic way you go about making goals and checking in daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly to make sure you're on track. I'm reevaluating my plan as soon as I finish all your tasks; I tend to try to do too much and end up not doing the most important things.
I found this video on New Year's eve, perfect time to put Chandler's advice into action for me for the coming year. Thanks Chandler!
Appreciate it that you took time to share your workflow, I recognize a lot and am very inspired! These video’s are definitely developing people around you, keep up the good work!
This is so great. Chunking down the yearly goals is genius, I will be using this help to re-aligned my 2019 goals! Thank you Chandler!
Visibility is important but more important for me is determining what my goals are. Michael Hyatt's Daily Top 3 is helping for me for daily goals.
Great to hear!
I love breaking down goals to weekly goals. The best way to achieve anything!
I like this. It's well thought through on multiple levels. Monthly goes sound over the top but, psychologicaly, you're completely right!
Thanks! Give it a try and let me know how it goes
I'm so the same in regards to being in my prime in the morning. As a team leader, I love coming to work early in the morning to get my most important things in the morning, this keeps me focused on my daily and weekly goals.
I like how you break down goals and setting intentions so important!!
I`m glad to learn this on the last day of the year. 2019 will surely be a bold year. Much thanks!!!
I want to publish my first book in 2019. Thanks to Self Publishing School, I've connected with the people who will help me achieve this goal. Thank you.
YES!! Let's make it happen
Hi there Brenda, so how did it turn out? Any experience gleaned good or bad?
Howzit now?
Lots of good planning ideas here. I like the way they all dirill down to what is right in front of me on this day. Annual goals can sometimes seem so abstract, And within a week or so I can completely ignore my plan. Drilling down to the month, week, day, and hour makes that plan much more realistic . Thanks for the advice.
Thank you for the structure. I have a job but my goal is to finish my book. work part time then become full time author traveler so I want to break it down in bit size pieces. you helped me do that. Love that you keep it simple.
We use this process at Self Publishing School with all of our employees and it works great!
Needed this! Thank you! Pulled out my planner and worked on this while I listened.
Once again you have made me rethink my future with all this great info, love you!
I really liked you added who you wanted to invest in your yearly planning
I love this! I need this so much. Am going to use this in my planning for 2019 for sure!
Great to hear!
How did you get on?
Smart to start BIG and work down to the small; general to specific with a few steps along the way. Smart!
Keeping goals in sight - spiritually, mentally, physically!
Amazing video on setting goals! This helped refine the way I set my goals for this year. I was close but this structure looks to be much more focused and intentional.
This process is extremely critical for any progress. I was on quota for the majority of my corporate career. Every January the quota for the year seemed out of the world of the possible. By the end of the year, by focusing on the monthly goal, I was able to exceed the original assignment.
yes, yes, yes, I will implement the daily planing session right before bed so I am up and running the next AM.
Bullet journal for 1st quarter goals is prepped and ready!
This dude doesn't stop. He's super full of inspiring info. Writing a list of things I'm going to stop doing in 2019 right now.
Thanks again for another very insightful and helpful video! You rock Chandler!
This has so much information, I need to watch it again!
Yes! Can't wait to get 2019 underway
Such a great video Chandler! Goals are so important to success!
Perfect planning process. I love how holistic it is. Thanks for sharing!
Ingenious. It's all about setting priorities and making them as normal as breathing.
This works like magic! I had been using some of those techniques but I had never seen them from that perspective! Thank you!!!:)
Learned a lot n took notes as I had no idea at all on how to plan my priorities as this all new to me. Now it's the New Year my goal to finish my first book has been set and I'm working round that. I hadn't done much as was wondering if my first book would even be read so now will stick to my goals. One of which is to watch your video on how to know if my book is going to be a seller..or something like that. Thankyou Chandler.
This is so good! I’m in the majority of people who set them, but never adhere to what I planned. This was a great reminder of how to break it down.
Really like the guidance for setting goals and prioritizing tasks.
This is good! back in 1989 I was introduced to the Franklin Covoy system of planning, and it was just what I needed. Today I use a combination of that and a few modifications I made for myself. But I do my process almost 99% the way you do it here in this video. If I do not set my goals for my day the night before my day will be nothing but "Squirrel" all day long. LOL
haha great to hear and thanks for sharing! Glad you found this helpful
You just gave me idea on how I can get my family get excited setting monthly goals!
My biggest take away is plan your day before you go to bed. I need to start doing that!! Thank you, Chandler.
Wonderful information! I currently have a vision board but I never thought to break it down further the way you explained it. I will definitely implement your strategy on this. Thanks!
Love your vision board in the background!
Absolutely amazing so excited lol i was doing daily stuff and it was very last minute like just making goals in the morning and building towards end goals this is much more precise and you can feel its more obtainable towards any and all goals.
You got this!
Love it, definitely setting some realistic goals this year
Very thorough. I've known about the importance of goal setting, but never really followed it consistently. Encourages me to begin again and follow your suggestions consistently.
I love working toward deadlines, so this is great.
Thanks for the reminder. It's good to hear it again.
I love what should I stop, what should I strengthen, and what do I need to do!
I usually have apps that I use to automate my goals on a regular basis. But this video has me thinking of switching things up
Try it & let me know what you think
Great tips. Very timely too with the start of the New Year. Thank you.
I'm definitely gonna have to start settings goals like you!
Love this. Thanks!
Thanks for sharing your process Chandler!
Every day better content, congratulations guys
I appreciate Chandler's teaching videos as they are very goal oriented and success driven! Thanks Chandler!
At the beginning of the year, I write about 5 goals I want to achieve in personal, business and any big projects around my home. Then, I use a daily goal setting to work towards those goals. There is an app that I like called "Commit to 3." It keeps me focused on the 3 most important goals for the day. It drives me forward on my projects that I want to complete!
Awesome! Thanks for sharing your process
I liked the accountability partner and placing a bet on the competion. Focusing on the priorities of moving the business forward was also a vital component.
Absolutely love the setting goals routine and the 100$ bet plan! Great idea!!
thanks!
Enjoyed the breakdown of goals from yearly all the way to daily. I personally use color coding in my calendar. That way it keeps me focused on types of activity - revenue generating vs non-revenue vs personal, etc.
Jammed packed. If I will apply this info, this could change my business. Thanks Chandler!
Thanks for sharing this! I need to follow this advice!
Love it. I do similar each year, with power words (your intention) and what success or goals mean to me. in SPS I have just got a yearly planner calender just for my writing daily goals and to track my accountability buddy's goals too. I got gold stars for when we over-achieve. In this video my main take away is PRIME TIME. Love that, set up my prime time to work on top priorities on daily basis. Thank you x
Awesome!
Wow! Love it!
Set top 20 to deepen relationships! Solid info
Thanks for posting! 🙂
Good video. I liked the intention part. Something to learn through the year. Makes sense. Just never thought about it like that before.
Great reminder. It' good to hear it all again!
Yeah, put them visible! Thanks!
Very good information on prioritizing. I usually do daily. This will help tremendously. Thank you so much.
These had so many good tips on realistic goals. Thanks!
Thanks a lot for all these tips. One of my goals for 2019 is finishing a book called "A Silent Dance". I hope I'll be able to fulfill it. Thanks a lot for everything, you're of great help to me!
Love it. Let us know if we can help.

Thanks Chandler. The only reason I'm leaving this video is to go and set my goals!!
Thank you. This is very useful.
Very useful for my action-taking on priority. I am trying to fix and implement the priorities.
Sounds busy and interesting as well.... It's gonna help me plan My goals as well!
Love this!
Definately need to be clear your intentions and clear out those bottlenecks! Thanks for the tip of keeping my goals visible for I do tend to write them down and just tuck them away except for my daily goals that I set up the night before and leave it right dead center of my desk for when I get started the next day!
thank you ... this is amazing
I have been stuggling to keep on task and on track but this has helped alot!
I really like your videos, thank you!
Thanks for the great process. Appreciate the idea of planning the next day before going to bed. Then you can hit the ground running
AWESOME VIDEO CHANDLER! Thank you! Super helpful.
Thanks Brianna! Glad it was helpful
This is a good one, have to watch it again...
Excellent video. Great encouragement to help me get back on track. And-I must add-I love your office setup. Any tips on ergonomics?
Miranda Chivers thanks! Yep, I explain my office setup in this video: ruclips.net/video/lcIt_S1a4nI/видео.html

Needed it thanks
Planning is important! Thanks for sharing your strategies.
I am working on this. Having to shift gears is a bit to change. But, I need to do this.
Great tips Chandler!!!
