@@rappinandsnackin one of the hardest things to do is rank Kanye albums. I hope you make a video of your rankings soon. To preface this, I am more of a production guy than lyrics. You can be spitting the most mind blowing stuff but If the beat sucks I can’t listen to it. With that being said this is my ranking (as of today)

My thing with bootlegs; if the artist isn’t making that album available for official sale on the medium you want it or none at all, sometimes not even digital storefronts, then there’s NO problem buying or owning them. Only 3 bootlegs I have (both CD) are Eminem’s Infinite album (1st album he’s officially done, 1996, only vinyl and tape pressings in EXTREMELY low numbers), The 3 Day Theory alternate cut of the Makaveli album that I pressed up myself, and Snoop’s new Back On Death Row album. If it’s not available and you want it in the collection, they’re a lifesaver!
Yea bootlegs are interesting. If artists don’t make it, I’ll find a way to get a physical most times. As long as it’s done well!
@@rappinandsnackin My Infinite copy was honestly garbage, it was formatted in a data CD format with 128kbps, muffled versions. So I took them into audacity, converted them up to full CDQ Wav files, used noise reduction to get rid of some of the top static, gave it a treble, bass and volume lift to reduce the muffled quality, bring the lyrics more towards the front of the mix with an extra hit of bass on the back to give it some warmer quality. Overall I haven’t even heard as good of a version as the one I “remastered”, I’m no professional but I’ve messed around with audio like that before that was bad so trial and error process. My next project besides the 2Pac and Eazy rarer tracks albums is probably gonna be the original version of Nas’s “I Am” that was bootlegged and posted online in similar MP3 form online back in late 1998, I also want a physical of that next to the real album and I’m hoping I can hit the quality I got out of Infinite! 👏🏻🙏🏻
@@rappinandsnackin I believe the highest quality it was ever released online in was 192kpbs MP3s that 50 had on his website as a promotion for Relapse before that dropped, besides the OG vinyl and the tape that’s the most recent official release I was able to find. REALLY wish someone out there would do a direct capture of the cassette or vinyl in WAV CDQ and put it online

My favorite Kanye albums are Graduation and MBDTF. Tough call between those 2 for me.

I'd be interested in seeing all or best bootlegs (any artist) video. Didnt know about some of these LPs... curious if there are any cool 12"s. Most bootlegs I have are weird/rare primo instrumentals, or mixtape only songs
A lot of weird stuff going on with some bootlegs. He has quite a few more that I don’t have. Hope to see official pressings for his albums though that weren’t pressed by the labels

The Watch the Throne Vinyl is probably the highlight of my (not very big) collection. Spent 127$ plus 39$ shipping on it in 2017, never regretted it either. I unboxed it tho, maybe I shouldn't have done that, but I don't really plan on ever selling it so idk. The 808s Vinyl is a really nice product too tho.
Some on ebay, some at record stores! WTT is a great one to own. There’s bootlegs of that too

price depends on what vinyl, condition, and so many factors. Start doing your research and look up pricing. In my videos I go over a ton of tips/tricks, particularly in my "Collector's Corner" series.

As of now... "Graduation" was never officially released on vinyl or tape, "Yeezus" was never officially released on vinyl, "The Life Of Pablo" was not officially released on any physical format, "808s and Heartbreak", "MBDTF" and "Ye" were never officially released on cassette. That is off memory... thanks

@@rappinandsnackin I just got one off Rollin Records. It looks just like your’s just a different color. It has the bonus tracks and everything. Out of all the albums I’m surprised this one isn’t pressed since so many people know it. Before I even got into Kanye I knew the cover of that album
