Your technique is easy to follow and understand. Really loved it! I'm super new to using charcoal. I found this amazing and also relaxing. Great music selection.
I am really enjoying these charcoal drawing tutorials. Thank you very much! A couple of questions, please. 1. What is the value of the charcoal vine stick you are using in these charcoal facial tutorials? 2. Just out of curiosity, why did you chose charcoal to demonstrate drawing these facial features rather than pencil, graphite? 3. One more question just came to me. Would the same principals you are demonstrating with charcoal work exactly the same, same results, if your medium of choice was pastel pencils? Thanks again! Really enjoying these - A LOT!
Hi JM, sorry answering your questions late. Here are my responds: 1. Among the vine charcoal hard, medium and soft, I usually choose Medium, and this what I used in this demo. 2. Charcoals is closer to painting mediums, easier to accomplish large shapes, and most students have prior experience using graphite pencil drawings, but afraid to start using charcoal, to help them transition from graphite to painting and help them to more focus on the composition and painting elements, I choose charcoal as the main medium for this drawing class. 3. The principles for making art should be the same among all mediums, the differences are only in the techniques. Happy and enjoying art.
Ur accent is making this a lot more enjoyable. Love this
Excellent!!!!!!!!!!!❤ thank you for sharing this awesome video lesson!!!!!
I initially thought the proportion was a little off but like magic, after shading, it came together well. Lovely 💗
