Sometimes we forget how differently our brains receive information. Personally, I found the blurb very easy to understand and follow. In fact, I quite enjoyed it. My husband on the other hand was lost almost immediately, and ready to walk away from the experience completely. Although late to this video, you almost certainly saved me more than a few £, in terms of book purchases. Thank you for such a lovely and concise review. Blessings 💜✨
Me yesterday: I wish I could find a good reading list about Trad Witchcraft It happened a few hours before this video was uploaded. I’m happy to see this today. Thank you 🙏
Happy MAY day This Beltane was the best ever I did so many things it was amazing got to see Irish dancing got to do some Irish dancing Celtic hiking in the rain hung out with some other witches I did more stuff in one day got to do some drumming with another Circle I hope you all had a great Beltane and continue that going.
I’m a 50 yr old mom who is caregiver to my son who is medical critical. I appreciate your knowledge, work, ability, humility and most of all your humor. There is something in every video that gives me a giggle and I find your overall attitude positive (not toxic) and your channel of high quality. These days anyone can have a channel but not everyone should. I can tell since I’ve been watching you since 2017 I think, you share with us as you grow. I may not be interested in every topic when I start a video and sometimes my mind is changed sometimes I’m just more knowledgeable. I always know your videos are worth my time and I’m sure lots of work goes into them. Thank you
I'm interested most in House Protection Magic and Welsh Magic. I'm very interested in magic in and coming out of the cunning folk tradition, so those two books are going on the list
Fantastic video. I wanted 3 out of the 5, but I did order the last one, A Broom at Midnight. Thanks a lot for this upload. I have bought a few books because of your videos!!
Nice breakdown, looks like I have some new books to hunt for. Welsh Witchcraft and A Broom at Midnight sound right up my alley. I've read Horne's "Folk Witchcraft" already and it was like a really good primer.
Thank you for these videos, I only just subscribed in the past few weeks. I find it so interesting how in the UK magical practice is similar and different from what I do and from what other American magical practices do. I have purchased some of the books you have recommended as I am going back and watching your older videos, I am not new to this but I use some of your teachings to help do a better breakdown for children and young ones who are being raised in the craft or coming to it. Thank you
YES, I am VERY interested in the the same type and you have helped me Alot being that I am not in the UK I'm in the USA but I have deep ansestors and family lineage from the UK and I love your work your VERY MUCH appreciated and I am very grateful and I'm sure there's many more that are as well.
Another brilliant and useful book video, thank you. I find these videos very good to try and find books I can relate to as I live in a part of England that seems to have no traditional witchcraft history. Thank you for the video and also, the green outfit looks really nice. 😊
I did find out i am welsh after years of thinking i had no ancestral relation at all to britan or ireland. Here a year later, but i definitely want to learn more about welsh witchcraft!
Thank you for the list. It can be confusing at times to find trad. craft information, as many who studied under the original Wiccan system now call themselves Traditional British to differentiate from what most call Wicca today.
Wonder video as always! Was wondering if you’ve read or heard of the book New World Witchery? It’s a a book on American folkloric magic. Was curious about the comparison of the folkloric and magical traditions. Will definitely be checking these books out.
I have it! It's excellent. Cory has a doctorate in folklore, and is a member of The Forest's Edge tradition. The book is very detailed, while still being highly readable. Sort of a history of the lore, and a how to as well.
I just recently found out that I have British Irish and Scottish DNA and it's so cool because I've always been interested in those areas of the world also I love your videos
Thank you for the review of Welsh Witchcraft. I have read Kris Hughes books but am really interested in Welsh Craft as Cerridwen is who I have the best connection.I have A Broom at Midnight on Kindle Unlimited. I also have his book on Folk magic. He is not my favorite author. But I am reading his books. I also went and got Barbara's Words on Kindle Unlimited. Also I love your green sequin top.
So, Hearth... I had an interesting happening today... A Luna moth sat on my finger for over an hour. I'm usually quick to dismiss things, but... And hour? A Luna moth in broad daylight? Is Selene trying to get ahold of me or something?
Witch bottles! Incase you haven't stumbled on it. MOL Archaeology have a RUclips video opening one and talking to experts in the witch bottle project. So very interesting. Thanks for this fabulous line up of books so many to look into. 💚
I have read Mhara's book Welsh Witchcraft (please check out her RUclips channel!) and I think it is brilliant! I have also read Broom at Midnight and found it fascinating. I definitely want to get more books by the author. I've added all the others to my wishlist as this is a subject I also like researching. Thank you Hearth for another wonderful video! Xxxx
Definitely, either because I find the tone condescending and preachy or because I find the wording too...wordy and I end up getting bored and not finishing the book. I try to always push through, but there are many, that I can't finish and end up disliking. The Witches' Ointments and the Sea Witchcraft book both walk the line, for different reasons.
Many of the newer books should be available as audio books as well, at least most published in the last few years. It's worth searching for any books others find interesting in written form, to see if you can find an audio option as there are many out there.
Question ? A wise wemon once told me not too tattoo my forearms . Why exactly ? My Ancestors by DNA is 48 English 24 Scottish- Irish 11French 6 German 5 Roman 🇮🇹 3 Swedish 2 Norwegian 1 Greek . I'm 🔮 possible 🦇 ... I was excommunicated by the Catholic pope of Rome ... Shortly after it was confirmed by the Vatican I have the oldest Sir Name in European history ... With direct ties to the Roman S.P.Q.R. Empire. All my life I known I was different . So basically I'm Roman Viking Celtic Garlic and Greek. I assume I have witches and sorcerers somewhere in my Ancestry .... What would your advice be if your now New to the practice ?
This might help a little to get you started on the very basics and some recommendations for books too ♡ : ruclips.net/p/PLWIrdU1Xu5AWQgOIpEuO6E4b7RiEnj-Fk

That's the back of the book blurb? Holy good gods that's a freaking mouthful.
The green shirt and lipstick are giving me life girl! 💚
Yes! Very Shego from Kim Possible vibes. (And we all know Shego was the sexiest person in that show)
I'm interested most in House Protection Magic and Welsh Magic. I'm very interested in magic in and coming out of the cunning folk tradition, so those two books are going on the list
This is another great look for you. 💚🖤

Blessed be Lady Hearth. Happy Beltane. Love and light to you. 🔮✌️
I love to hear your podcast about the witch hunt in England
The Witches' Ointment sounds really interesting. Thanks for sharing. :)

Thank you for sharing. I really like folk witchcraft, but I am on the Slavic side and there isn’t a lot of material there. Have a wonderful week.
Witches Flight is So Fascinating
A great video Hearth ☺️ I would love a podcast episode about the Pendle witch trials.
Amazing. I was just looking for book reviews and you uploaded just yesterday. Thanks, I’m gonna put a couple of these in my cart!

I write and use my own spells and I work solely with Olympus.
Hey Hearth, you might enjoy "Bitter Magic", if you haven't already read it - a fictionalised account of Isabel Gowdie and her trial for witchcraft.
Witch bottles! Incase you haven't stumbled on it. MOL Archaeology have a RUclips video opening one and talking to experts in the witch bottle project. So very interesting. Thanks for this fabulous line up of books so many to look into. 💚
i was wondering what you think of aidan wachter's books? i found them really interesting and inspiring and i really vibed with his writing
Hearth, have you at all read The Forbidden Mysteries of Faery Witchcraft by Storm Faerywolf?
Kitchen Witch: Food, Folklore & Fairy Tale by Sarah Robinson is super amazing if food interests you. (No recipes)
Xxxx
Would you mind recommending a good book on herbs and working with them?
I love listening to your reviews. I also want you to know that I think you are so cute! I can say that because I'm OLD! Haha!
💚
Has a books writing ever made u not like it? Like the way it’s worded? Just listening about the witches ointment hurt my brain lol
Do you know any good witch audio books ? I really struggle to read cause of dyslexia, I know you are too but I have tried
Many of the newer books should be available as audio books as well, at least most published in the last few years. It's worth searching for any books others find interesting in written form, to see if you can find an audio option as there are many out there.
@@HearthWitch ahhhh hello!! Thank you I did look maybe instead of searching witch craft audio books I should look for a certain book
Green is pretty cool on u. 😇👹
