I live in Gothenburg and consider it a cozy town, easy to get around, always something chill to do. I usually travel by electric scooter and rarely use the car because they build too much and you easily get stucked in traffic. trädgårdsföreningen is amazing during the summer months now
Have you any other country in the world . Compare it with others. Your city has nothing. Just walk to your river side .Forget nice restaurants or coffeehouses etc , there is not even a normal walking place there . Old, colrless, boring and outdated buildings and threes . What else do you have . Look at your only showing mall from 50 or 60s surrounded by several awful buildings . The city has only two main roads!, Aveny and Linne . Do you call it city . Come on dude . Create something that make the people living in that city happy and able to put up with crappy weather.

I’m looking to study in Gothenburg or Lund, hopefully if my scholarship comes through, I’m so inlove with both cities, so I’m just watching lots of videos of both cities and getting pumped with excitement. Loved this!😍
Martin, that's very helpful thanks. We have a holiday in Norway next June, and we have arranged a week we can plan ourselves - Gothenburg is very high (#1) on our list. We have seen some other suggestions if we use the city as a base. Maybe go to Marstrand, Styrso, or even Vanern (a long day trip?). We even heard about features in the countryside nearby like stone circles, but they might be difficult by public transport. Thanks again.
I've just re-read my post, and it sounds like I think Gothenburg is in Norway! The week we have in mind is after our Norway trip but before we fly home. It looks as though we could easily get a train from Oslo to Gothenburg and see a part of Sweden on the same trip!
That eagle is beautiful, also the old sword... never been there, there must be some very talented kids over there ❤😂 In 2020. city called Rijeka (Croatia) was voted "European capital of kulture", but seeing this i am amazed that we got that honor Greetings from Rijeka/Croatia ❤
You listed all of the standard locations... why not enjoy the view from Masthuggskyrkan, take a walk up Ramberget, stroll around Eriksberg? All guides seem to avoid Hisingen although it makes up half of the city. There is a (partly free) ferry that takes you across from Stenpiren. Or pick up a rental bike, and leave the city for a moment and take a look at Gunnebo slott? Imho the city has a lot more to offer than the standard locations.
Forgot the best areas. Angered and Hammarkullen. Vibrant areas with a lot of interactions welcoming Swedes where you can sample various local delicacies.

@@MartijnAroundTheWorld When I said "all of these" I meant videos about Gothenburg. I have no doubt that you tried your best and that it is difficult. It's just funny.
Let me tell you something, despite a few non attractive Islands outside the cost of Gothenburg which possibly can be seen during two months (July and Aug) and that due to bad weather conditions during the whole year, is there anything else which can be seen? Nothing and nothing. This place is the ugliest place I have ever seen in my life . Ugly buildings and architecture , not any real and fancy place, architecture , buildings. Cheap and direty gray 50-60s buildings which reminds you of mental hospital. Awful and old and unfasssioned shopping mall . My God how come that they don't build something for the the citizen to feel good under that depressing weather condition
Well done, Martijn! Binging through your videos, the bucket list just gets bigger and bigger :D

Ja. Dat zie je ook terug in al de kanalen in de stad met de bruggen erboven
