The moment Pennywise started chewing on his organs i realized this movie was gonna be more brutal than the first. I dont know why but i thought Pennywise was genuinely gonna help Adrian the first time i watched this.
This opening scene is precisely why I think it's important for people to conceal carry. Lots of sick freaks out there who attack innocent people.. This scene always stuck with me. I would hate to be defenseless up against a mob of thugs.
I honestly almost hated what those guys did more than everything pennywise had did. At least pennywise was doing it for a reason. He needed food. Its brutal but true. Those guys did it just because they felt like it... That's truly more evil than pennywise ever was.

7:07 - 7:20 is sad but perfect at the same time.. this scene was so well filmed. I was very impressed, especially with Bill Skarsgård. He’s so talented.
Yep it is I honestly wish the movie cut out and added a couple things that would have made the movie as amazing as the first. The first it came out on my birth month and I watched it in theaters 5 times and for the second I watch some great scenes multiple times but the whole movie only once
Horrific beat down aside, the Title Card reveal beats the first films one in every way. Flickering carnival lights illuminating the logo until it stops on a strong blood red light while haunting children cries play in the background. Just an amazing opening title sequence for a horror movie since Jigsaw.
shut up, you're probably 9 years old. Have you ever watched Terminator 2? Or Batman: The Dark Knight? Come on, this movie 6,5 in imdb (rating). It's really bad
Yea, let’s not do that, dude. I can smell the homophobia just straight off your comment. Adrian’s scene deserves the recognition, not the freaking title sequence.
Poor Adrian he didn't deserve to get killed but from this very scene I knew that the whole movie was going to be insanely brutal than the last one and Adrian's death was the most disturbing and amazingly made scene
Currently watching before bed. I’ve seen this film once on airplane, once at home. Both times, i fell asleep halfway through! This movie is 3 HOURS LONG! Same as first one. Very sad opening scene.
This was so heartbreaking to watch,i honestly think that the 2 movies did an amazing work portraying this penywise, like the fact that he instead of eating the bullies and going for the victim(adrian) shows how much of a great villain/monster pennywise is and literally just smiling and enjoying adrians boyfriends suffering on the other side
Most movies would have gone the sympathetic route to have Pennywise go after the bullies to make him more likable to the viewer, but this film had the guts to stay true to the character and show a very disturbing scene with no satisfying payoff. And I even if it's taken directly from the book, we all know that Hollywood takes creative license many times and changes things to make it more viewer friendly.
Reading the tragic scene in the novel about Adrian was just as gut-wrenching as in the film. While there are parts of Chapter 2 i thought could have been better, Bill Skarsgard really shined in the role of Pennywise and brought a unique and amazingly chilling performance to this classic Stephen King character.
The background music at 8:11 is from when georgie met pennywise and the older woman came out onter her balcony and then turned back around her cat was still outside
Bullying is gross. Very difficult to watch in any context. Revenge is underrated. I've yet to see a better response to bullying than to terrorize them and destroy their lives.
Besides Maleficent, Pennywise might be my favorite villian of all time. It does make me wonder why I tend to like villains as characters though because they don't match me with my morals at all. Even though he's a shapeshifting being of light, I love the false sense of child-like innocence and frivolity that Pennywise gives off. I hope that the leaks are true and Stephen King gives us another Pennywise story.
@Aya Louhmini one or two of the guys that jumped the couple had also noticed the clown under the bridge and brought it up when being questioned by the police. Here in the movie we don’t see this happen but it does in the book
Idk why, I think Adrian was very nice to give Victoria the prize he won because she felt sad that she wasn't that good at the Clown game, and then soon in the movie they literally both die, I feel bad.
It is and I wish it didn’t happen based of how someone is they live their life they’re way I live my life mine. now when it becomes a crime then call the cops obviously
This is actually really sick...and moving...and revolting...like King intended it to be. Why couldn't the rest of the movie have kept up with this?? Would have had much more of an impact.
This and the Vicky scene show how hungry and desperate Pennywise is. He/She was forced into an early sleep by the Losers Club and will eat anything, scared or not.
Memory, it's a funny thing. People want to believe they are what they choose to remember; the good stuff, the moments, the places - the people we all hold on to
The fact that this scene is real and was written in the book (not with pennywise, obviously). The person who got beat was brutally killed by the bullies.
Whats weird is that thekids never call It pennywise cuz he never tels him thats his name they jusf say Itl and I think its really cool that they did that so he kinda earns the name
