    Hello friends, welcome to my RUclips channel . Today I will solve the printer not working after the Windows Update, Operation failed error 0x000006e4 .

    Method 1/client
    Edit Group policy
    1. Just Search group Policy, Search box now click on edit group Policy into the search bar.
    2. Navigate to Computer Configuration
    3. Computer Configuration - Administrative Templates - Printers - Always render printer jobs on the server
    4. Set this to Disabled

    Method 2/client
    Run the Printer Troubleshooter
    Press the Windows + I key to open Windows Settings.
    Go to the System and click on Troubleshooter.
    Click on the Other troubleshooter option.
    Now, locate the Printer troubleshooter and press the Run button next to it.
    note: During this process we will run some diagnostics in your pc to detect the problem your are experiencing and run some automated steps to try to fix it.
    1. Turn off your printer and unplug its cable
    2. plug your back in back and turn the printer back on.
    3. restart windows.
    If you are on Windows 10 computer, follow these steps.
    Once the troubleshooter completes the scanning process then it asks you to Apply this Fix. Hopefully, running the Printer troubleshooter has resolved your error.

    Method 3/client
    Remove Client Side Rendering Print Providers reg key
    1. press the Windows key and type In the registry and click on registry editor into the search bar.
    2. Find and expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
    3. HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Print\Providers
    4. right-click on the Providers key and choose Delete from the context menu that just appeared
    5. close the regedit window

    Method 4/client
    Restart the Print Spooler Services
    Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box.
    Type services.msc in the text field and press Enter.
    The Services window will open.
    Locate Print Spooler in the list of services.
    Right-click on Print Spooler.
    Select Restart from the context menu.
    Wait for the Printer Spooler service to restart.
    Check if the error has been fixed.

    now go to the computer where the printer is installed

    Method 5 /server
    Disable ‘Render print jobs on client computers
    1. press the Windows key and type In the Print Management and click on Print Management into the search bar.
    2. Once you’re inside the Print Management tool, use the left-hand pane to expand the Print Servers section from the left-hand pane, then right-click on your Printer from the list and choose Properties.
    3. access the Sharing tab from the menu at the top, then uncheck the box associated with Render print jobs on client computers before clicking on Apply to save the changes.

    Method 6/server
    Update the Printer Driver
    Press the Windows key and type Device Manager into the search bar.
    Click on the Device Manager option.
    Locate the printer device.
    Right-click on the device driver name and select Update Driver Software.
    Select the Search automatically for updated driver software option.
    The system should automatically search for available drivers, though make sure that the Internet connection is OK.
    Finally, restart Windows to finish up with the installation.

    Method final/ Client
    Add a local printer through Network.
    1. press the Windows key and type In the Control Panel and click on Control Panel into the search bar.
    2. Now select Devices and Printers\Add device \ Printer and Scanners \ Add device\Click on the Add Manually.
    3. Select share a Printer by Name.
    4. Next, enter the Network Path to the Printer (ie. \\ComputerName\SharedPrinterName) as the Port Name.
    5. next click.
    6. select whether you want to make this a default printer or not
