Highschoool 4 concussion and a shoulder and knee surgery
Pretty much everyone that played football has had a moment where they woke up on the field saying " what happened"...
And your teammates had to point to the correct end of the field so you could know which side of the line to get on.
it was the 5th grade for me. the kids who hit early puberty would just make you quit
Man my shoulder was always acting up like that fr
To be fair. I prefer it compared to waking up on the field being fully aware of what happend. The memory of my 160 kg linemate falling and landing with his ass on my head will never leave me. Just to be clear, I'd like it to..
@@MatzeMB85 Lmao.
I had several concussions playing pee-wee football (ages 9-13). The most severe one I ever had was when I came to I couldn't talk or form a word for about a minute.
So what are the statistics on American football vs rugby. Like I feel like rugby should obviously have harder hits right? Cause no pads? Or does the nfl have bigger hits cause they do have pads so they don’t care and just toss their bodies around like ragdolls. Like Ryan Clark and Chancellor just didn’t care they wouldn’t just run through you, they’d run through the guys 3 people behind you as well. Anyone got some actual numbers ?😂
"He got hit so hard, he nearly changed teams" That made me laugh haha.
🤣🤣🤣
I want a T-shirt with that on it 😂
I almost spit coffee on my monitor. That got me! 😂
My favorite part is after Flaco gets drilled to the head. He leans up slightly, not aware of who his father is, then signals with glossy eyes that he got the 1st down 😂
The worst head injuries aren’t because of head to head, it’s usually head to ground. Their neck will move, the ground won’t
Notice how 1/4 of these are PIT-BAL.... That's what you call the biggest rivalry in the NFL
The Player Safety Initiative EXISTS because of what the Steelers and Ravens did to each other in the 2000s. That was proper football!
Regarding hits to the head( targeting), you can get suspended for it but it depends on circumstances and severity. An accidental one will be a fine and probably a game or 2 game suspension. Serious offense is a big fine and a longer suspension. Repetitive offense will be the worse case scenario with the maximum fine allowed, if i remember correctly a near full season suspension and the worse case scenario being released by the team with a permanent record of this situation and potentially end the player's career.
Gotcha!!
@@AdamCouser and in college football if you commit targeting, you get ejected
6:16 Quaterbacks(the most important position on the team) who have rules made for them to protect them, because for some teams, of their quarter backs injured their season could be over. So if the quarterback(the guy that throws the ball) runs and doesn’t want to get hit/injured they can slide, and if anyone hits them, it is a penalty.

Auburn vs Georgia THE HIT
In High School I played the Safety position and had just started summer camp with the varsity team. One of the senior offensive lineman was the #1 ranked college prospect in our state and was in the top 50 overall prospects in the country. He stood around 6'4 and weighed in around 325lbs. I stand 5'10 and weighed at the time around 190lbs. So the coach decided to put me in as cornerback instead of safety during practice and he called a cornerback blitz where my job was to lineup close to the line but instead of running with the receiver I was to speed to the QB and try to sack or rush him into a bad throw. Now in practice actually hitting or tackling the QB was not allowed if you did well you would run laps until the coach got tired. So I lined up and took off and came off free or so I though I was so close to the pretend "hit" when everything went black. The next thing I knew I was on my back helmet off with coaches and a trainer hoovering over me. I also found that I was probably 5 yards or more away from where I had gotten hit. That big lineman I discussed above had rotated around and picked up the blitz and I never saw him coming. I don't remember what the impact was like I just know I was sore for days afterwards and my entire left shoulder and side was black and blue for a good week.
when i was a freshman in high school i played tight end and i caught a pass over the middle and knocked out i guess bc i didnt remember anything from that game. i just remember waking up in the hospital
This is a collision sport.
Yes, yes it is 🤣
If you’re playing Madden with no prior experience, I recommend Rookie or Pro difficulty, not All-Pro or higher. All-Pro might be simple to use vets of the game, but Madden loves to hit you up with crazy interceptions and stuff, especially if you don’t know how to try to minimize them. No shame in taking it easy to get into the game!
Thanks man, pls come to my twitch on Sunday and help me
"He got Waltered!" LOL Makes me think of the pro wrestler Walter in the WWE's NXT U.K.
Most of these hits are against the rules now, especially the head to head hits. When a player has a concussion, he has to go through a protocol to proof they are healthy. Usually when I guy is knocked stone cold out, it takes several weeks.
Follow up from my previous comment: hits to the head can really screw your entire body because the head is the most important part of your body. The movements in our bodies comes from the brain which also connects to the spine and sends messages to our body for certain movements. If that gets damaged, the body struggles badly to respond and cause serious health problems. Head hits can cause serious damage to your brain, your neck, and your spine because all of that is connected to your head. Worse case scenario is being in a coma and potentially death.
You should watch biggest lacrosse hits
Someone needs to show him Ray Lewis highlights😂
For me, the biggest hit I took to the head was when playing in grade school without pads (of course). Running into a goalpost full speed and only turning to face it at the last instant while chasing an overthrown pass, will get your attention. Getting your nose cranked back to face forward again with pliers and no anesthetic is an eye-opener as well. But the injuries with the greatest long-term consequences tend to be from far less dramatic, even mundane, plays. My worst injury was a broken kneecap, where the broken shard migrated to the center of the knee where the bones meet. The kicker is that it was a non-contact injury from a lateral movement drill. Several teammates said it looked fake at the time because the damage was internal with no sideways buckling or anything. The first step after it migrated to the middle is the closest I've come to pissing my pants.
Petition to have Adam do nfl brawls/fights
👇🏻
The worst thing for us was the hundreds of people that jumped out of windows falling to their death on the floors hit bc they were literally burning to death
Marshawn Lynch....it's fun watching you cringe lol
I once got hit so hard during practice where everything was spinning for a second and I couldn’t feel my left arm. The guy who hit me said “I was surprised you got up so quickly” and that’s how I knew I earned his respect. Stay safe in the pads yall!
For College Football hitting head to head "Crown to the Hemet" with a defenseless player is a penalty called "Targeting" College Football players can be ejected even if it wasn't intentional but the NFL didn't imply it
Lets goooooo!
So in the first clip, that was the punter. Punters use different balls than what's used during normal play. usually they are called "k balls". They are much slicker than a ball you would see in normal play. Every team gets balls that their equipment manager can scuff up a bit, rub some mud on it so it's more tacky and easier for the qb to grib/throw and easier for the runner/receiver to catch.
Damn I didn’t know that!

In high school I got hit so hard I was crossed eyed for a minute and had a massive headache
This year and last year I think too I have noticed many more helmets flying off and I don't understand or know why- anyone have an answer to this ?
Helmets are just held on by a plastic strap that goes under your chin and has two metal snaps on each side. If you don't snap both snaps on both sides of your chinstrap, they pop off super easily. A lot of guys don't snap them fully because the chinstrap gets really tight and uncomfortable. I played in 7th and 8th grade (Year 8 and 9, for you UK folks,) and it was really hard to snap down and wear when I started growing longer hair.
@@maxzero9647 Thank you ! I was wondering and guessing if that was why
I was at the Ravens game when the Miami player went after Flacco. Clearly he was going to slide, giving himself up. Kiko Alonso didn't care. The fact that he wasn't disqualified from the rest of the game only made it worse.
The best part out of it was the score. Baltimore 40 Miami 0
I played pretty much all through school and have delivered and received multiple hits, its inevitable playing football
I had to stop playing Amateur Rugby Union; after a severe injury and concussion
I played football, I got hit so hard I saw stars and vomited. I've also hit people so hard they've flipped. So...
I played football in high school (defensive tackle) and mind you this was in the 1970’s before all the penalties were called for smacking helmets together etc.. as a matter of fact, we were taught to put your head down and do your best to end the other players season. Generally I held my own but during 3A playoffs for the state, I had my own head shoved up my own ass from getting hit so hard by an offensive lineman. I have little to no memory of the hit because when I did wake up in the back of the ambulance, I was told I didn’t recognize my own brother (and I only had one brother!). I missed the entire weekend and part of the following school week because I couldn’t stand up straight, walk or remember where I f#ing lived!
I can’t even imagine playing on AstroTurf because it’s like thumping your head on a sidewalk. supposedly, the new field surfaces aren’t as bad but watching the games on television, I’m not a believer when you see the head bouncing going on.
You need to watch some entire games and I promise, if I can understand the game, anyone can (especially with some of the “don’t hurt me” rules these days…).
Paid 20 million dollars a year and you can’t play because their thumb hurts.. by god, we would duct tape our damn thumbs back on if they got ripped off our hands and hobble our beat to hell and back asses out on that field and ask for some more!
Up until the last couple of years the helmets(and the pads in general) weren't designed to protect your brain. They were designed to protect your skin and muscles on your body. So it's understandable for people out side of the US to think because they're wearing helmets that it's a less brutal sport than sports like rugby, but when you get hit helmet to helmet it's like throwing two basketballs at each other or throwing it at the ground. They bounce off very hard. So players are just riddled with CTE at the end of their career from all the concussions.
My nephew plays high school football and I’m sending this video to my sister because no way 😳
With a couple exceptions, these are illegal hits. Regarding season-ending, there's 18 games in the NFL regular season, and the league has a concussion protocol that has to be followed in order to come back. If a player is cleared, the team's coaching staff may still elect to hold them out for further healing. So, a player could very well be out for 10 weeks.
Returning a kick, I had a dude hit me right in the temple. I popped up thinking, "Dang. I can't believe I didn't get knocked out." just based on how loud the impact was. Turned around and realized the dude that hit me was out cold and had a pile of his teeth stuck his mouth guard floating in a puddle of blood in front of him. Worst thing I ever saw in person on a football field and I've seen a few broken ankles, knees and fingers. Just creepy thinking you might have killed somebody.
4:58 love how Miller pushes the cam away. Wtf are you doing this man is knocked out, and you're gonna zoom in on him... so damn disrespectful
If you think these are bad look up “Nick Chubb knee injury”. he’s had two and they are both terrible
I never got knocked out like where I was just out on the field, but I did take a hit once and got up and while in the huddle was seeing double while trying to listen to the play being called. I was facing away from line of scrimmage and looked towards the far end zone and saw 2 goal posts, and twice as many people standing behind it...closest I ever came to being knocked completely out. Still scary, luckily when they give you those 3 words to trynand remember I could remember them and still do, so if by chance that trainer sees this, house, red, doggy.....brains still good lol
I was knocked out the first time at 12 years old on a kickoff tackling the ball carrier. I’m 31 and still play football and love it
I was defense. I broke a kids collar bone and thought I had killed another because he was shaking so much. I quit playing after that year.
Ive knocked myself snowboarding a couple times now, fainted into a tree face first one time, passed out in my garage straight onto concrete, i got knocked off the backseat of a golf cart when the roof hit a tree and the metal bent back into my face, what else... oh i shouldve been paralyzed in high school football practice when my c3 and c4 moved so much from a knee to the head the docs said they were honestly surprised i wasnt paralyzed. Anddd i almost forgot when i was 6, busting my forehead open on the corner of the sidewalk before bouncing my face off the pavement, breaking my nose and busting my lip in the process after i fell off my scooter going down hill. Typing this out just made me realize i probably have cte already...
You should react to best NFL plays of the 2023 season so that youv a see the NFL actually has offense and not just hitting each other. there's more to the game (But definitely still check out the legion of boom for the Seahawks) if you want to see people get crushed
My senior year in high school, on kickoff, me and the kick returner hit each other full speed helmet to helmet. I just remember a white flash, then looking up and seeing my teammates around me. Walked to the sideline trying to figure out what was going on, even though I started on defense, and should’ve been out there. Apparently I got up and stumbled off the field, with my defensive coach coming after me. He asked me where I was and I said school, and he said I looked at him like he wasn’t there. He told me to take a breather. The sad thing is I played through that that night as a nose guard and was on every other team besides offense. I did that through 3 concussions that season 17 years ago, and still have trouble with memory and mental health bad because of it.
Adam, are you going to watch the Daytona 500, on February 18th?
I've played high school and college and I've had 2 bad hits to the head ....blacked out vision and all its pretty scary
What platform are you gonna be playing madden on? If you have a ps5, I'll go buy madden tomorrow. I don't play it either but I know football but we can run some good teamwork lol
I played football and had a concussion so bad I literally don't remember it. I also tore my quad during a game once
Since you do sports quite a bit, have you ever thought about doing secretariat Triple Crown reaction?
I got hit so hard one time in high school football that my chinstrap snapped in half. No concussion or anything that I know of, just had to get a new chin strap. I can’t imagine getting smacked in the nfl, that must be a whole different kind of force.
You should watch Johnny Knox injury, it ended his career bc he got folded backwards like a burrito trying to dive on the ball
Biggest hit I have probably had happen was at my boyscouts camp we were chilling and playing football and I went to run into the endzone and ended up in the middle of both teams as they were all pushing against eachother. Ran into it got stood up by the other team just to be slammed into by my own team trying to push me forward. No major injuries besides some bruises and what not (never played for a team either, just with friends in little pickup games)
Adam probably won't see this comment, but when you feel your neck in your arse, you know it's a big hit
I've had my bell rung a few times (dazzed not ko'd) but one time i was making a tackle chasing a guy and as i was tackling his teammates hit my head back and i scorpioned. Idk how probably adrenaline but i made it to the sideline under my own power before i had to lay down and let the trainers look at me... no concussions tho 😃
It wasn’t his neck snapping back. It was his head hitting the ground.
Concussion protocol lasts longer than the rest of the season.
My highschool yrs were just as voilent. We were alot lighter and smaller than the professionals, but the rules were not so resrictive for the defense. That was in the'70's
0:41 Looks like he nearly fumbled the ball, possibly going for a punt, or preping to pass to a teammate. If he was trying to pass to a team mate, he can't do a forward pass, he'd have to do one that you would see in Rugby.
My like 4rth game freshman year I got hit so hard in the back of the head everything went white for like 3 seconds and I thought I was at the park with my family and was very confused for a good 30 seconds until it came back to me where I was 💀😂
Dude has that Bryce Mitchell look to him. Thug Nasty himself
Football is a pretty short season relatively speaking. If a guy get a head injury to where is completely out could it’s pretty reasonable to assume he’s done for the year. Unless maybe if it’s like the first game or 2 of the season
6:30 that’s somebody I played pass with, he’s really funny and nice, he got hit hard
I had one in 7th grade where I was about to tackle someone from behind and then the 6’2 250 lbs linebacker (massive for that age) came in from the front and absolutely demolished the runner so bad that they both came back into me and folded me backwards like doing a scorpion and landed on me
The helmet can be strapped on only so much. If the helmet can’t come off, the head will!
Got a concussion from American football so bad I shouldn’t been able to drive but did and I also was loved to go to school for 30 straight days then once I could go back I was only allowed to be there 35minutes - 1:30 hours and if my head hert I was sent home
You need to react to " nfl sticking up for your teammates".
I got a concussion in practive doing a drill called oklahoma and it was so bad i missed a week of scheel and threw up
I had a teammate put the crown of his helmet right into my facemask on a tackle in practice. I have never been knocked out but I have been dazed and confused.
there should’ve been the hit that changed Antonio browns life
You need to watch the Johnny Knox injury! It’s so bad and just the worst I’ve ever seen.
My worst hit was when I jumped up to catch an overthrown pass and got clipped in the legs. On my way down another guy speared me, I held on to the ball at least.
See how they all lower their heads. Defensive and offensive players. That needs to be coached out of the league on both sides. I know it is a natural reaction as the person who is getting it to tighten up and ultimately their head lowers. But most of these the defender is lowering his head and would hit the offensive player in the chest until the offensive player lowers his head and they hit helmet to helmet. I say that on both sides of the ball, lowering your head needs to be coached out of the league. Easier said than done I realize, but that’s the only way this stops.
i wish adam didnt have such snow flake mods on his twitch channel. He is too funny to have mods that get triggered over jokes.
I got smoked in high school and it felt like I was drunk for the rest of the game. Best game I ever played
you have to react to jack tatum from the raiders, was one of the most feared players in the NFL
Some of these are legal hits that are just unfortunate but alot of them are highly against the rules and players will actually be fined thousands of dollars.
You gotta move the recording of yourself if it’s covering the part of the video that people are trying to see
3:18 I know #33 Aaron jones and he knows me he’s a top 10 running back in the league
React to loudest nfl or ncaa college football loudest stadium
There should be vontaze burfict
3:18 that’s davante Adams he one of the best wide receivers in the league
That was awful, I have never been hit like that and I'm glad!!!
In highschool i was a linebacker and hit a rb hard enough to fracture my neck which at the time i didnt know it happened
dont worry about not knowing how to play madden. Its pretty easy to catch on and then you realize you still dont know how to play it or at least that it doesnt matter if you do cus of all the BS nonsense that happens lol
1:53 thats why helmets are a thing it fell off sure but it did what its supposed to do. Imagine that without a helmet... i dont want to.
For a real ugly knock out watch the Tua Tagovailoa hit. He looked like his career was over
Yes i played middle and high. Who gets hit. I was always doing the hitting
I played in high school but I missed the last 5 games my senior season due to concussion
He was done for rhe season because of concussion protocols. I think it was his second of the year then after that they wont let you play due to safety concerns
4:03 sometimes you can get suspended for those hits
You need to move yourself to the bottom corner. You block a lot of stuff where you are at
they should do tua’s againts the bengals or damar
the bears packers one he got suspended and fined hes done that few times
I got hit by an Olds 98 once it definitely got the job done!
The helmet to helmet hits do not happen very often
