6:36 flags are penalty markers, meaning an official saw something on the field that was against the rule, the officials usual have a quick conference to confirm the penalty, and it usually results in a loss or gain of yards depending if the penalty was on the offensive or the defensive.
My dad and coaches always used to say "are you hurt or are you injured?" If you're injured, stay down as long as you need. If you're hurt, suck it up and get back in the huddle.
This is the mentality that ruins young players, had a friend who kept trying to play on a sprained MCL until he tore it and lost his entire junior and senior seasons
A player named Ronnie Lott's finger was broken so badly during a playoff game, he couldnt return to the game. In fact, he needed surgery asap to fix it. So he told the doctors to cut the finger off, so he could finish the game. They did, and he was back on the field the same game, with 9 fingers. MERIKA!!!!
*"SOMEONE GET THAT MAN A THERMOMETER!"* You know, when you stop and think about it, survival can be summed up as staying warm, but not too warm.🤔 I've had that thought rattling around in my brain for at least a couple years, but now seemed like an appropriate time to share it.
College games have a clock that stops every 1st down, allowing teams more time to plan and execute plays. This can extend the game and lead to higher scoring matches. In contrast, the NFL's clock rules are stricter, leading to faster-paced games that demand quicker decision-making from players and coaches. There are some overtime rule differences. College football serves as a development stage for athletes, they are required to be at least 3 years out of high school to enter the NFL Draft.
6:50 Appalachian State. That's my Alma Mater. Quite a few of these clips are from the central East Coast. ACC, Sun Belt, etc. I love watching people from other countries take in American Football. The reactions are always great!
7:53 A couple of my guy friends spent $100 for the Deluxe Edition just so they could play the game a week early 😂. I'm not usually into sports video games but I used to play the old College Football 2013 game like 10 years ago with my uncle because he had it. We used to choose some of the worst teams like Ball State and take them to a big bowl game at the end of the year. Glad they are coming out with a new one next month. Brings back memories when I used to go to his house on the weekend and play it with him.
That very last hit was the 2022 PAC12 championship game! Cam Rising was hit, got up, smiled at the defense and then proceeded to whoop their asses! GO UTES!
Flags flying, so to speak, is when they throw a "flag" down on the field... it's a colored piece of weighted down cloth that signifies some kind of penalty.
as someone whos been on highschool varsity ball since freshman year the hits that look like they hurt dont and the ones that hurt are the ones people think you should get up from
You asked if there are any rules on hitting. The rules for NFL, College, and even Highschool are basically the same, just with small adjustments and technicalities to match the skill level. The general guidelines are no helmet to helmet contact during a tackle, and no leading a hit with the crown of your helmet, and no hitting the ball carrier above the shoulders.
You really should react to more lacrosse stuff. Best goals, goalie saves, defensive plays. Definitely other aspects of the sport you’d like. 100% check out Lyle Thompson highlights
The big hits, were calling "getting your clock ⏰️ cleaned" back when I was playing football! And we were TAUGHT to speer when we tackled people!..from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸 👋🤠
They get straight back up because they have a certain amount of time to get a play call, told to the team, then lined up before the time runs out then it will be a delay of game
This is why more people like College over NFL. This is the audition for one of the FEW million $ spots in the NFL. You would prolly put a little extra in your game. College sports is SOOO much better!!!
The funny part, older guys will say this is the "soft" era of football because so many rules have been made about what are penalties with big hits. You should watch some hits from 15-20 years ago or longer.
Theres one mississippi state player on kick offs years ago, his name is zack something, he got wrecked both times he played lsu on the same play(kickoff) rip
Here's a hint; they are ALL "Big Fellows!" Once in awhile there is some guy under 6' / 183cm playing offense in the backfield, usually called a "scat back" (back for being a backfield player, 'scat' because he's an exceptional fast runner). Note, the 6'7" / 196 cm linemen are among the fastest runners on the planet even weighing 280 pounds / 127 kgs.
Need to watch Tavon Austin mixtape or Karl Joseph “Zoe” mixtape of their West Virginia days two of the best highlight videos you’ll ever see of any sport
Rules these days are basically you can’t use your helmet as a “weapon” to initiate your tackle. You can’t hit a helpless receiver, meaning you cant hit a receiver from their blindspots during the catch, and you can’t drive a QB into the ground or hit him below the knees.
The rules about hits are basically identical. There some very small differences in enforcement of penalties but basically the same things are legal/illegal.
Out of 134 Division 1 schools with about 120 players on each team only about 250 college players will be drafted in any given year by the NFL. So most college teams at best may have 2-5 players that get drafted by the NFL. Another 100 or so players every year may get into the NFL as undrafted free agents and end up on the practice scout teams, but only a handful of those will eventually end up as a regular player and actually play in an NFL game.
Actually he odds are even less then that, since players from every Division of College Football (1-3) and both Subdivisions of Division 1 (FBS and FCS) are in the draft pool. so it's more like 900+ schools or something like that.
If you are truly hurt. Can't get up. Knocked unconscious. Leg snapped back. EVERYONE ON THE FIELD WILL TAKE A KNEE. You are an injured soldier. If you get wapped and lay squirming cause it hurt, you are told to get up and get ready for the next play.
At 7:50, a flag was thrown because the defender hit the receiver helmet to helmet. Defender should be tossed out of the game for that these days. Don't know how old the clip was but it has been illegal for a fair amount of time. Used to "just" be a personal foul, 15 yard penalty and replay the down.
Yea, now after the whole thing with concussions. You can't hit the helmet (at least on purpose, and even then), other places as well. No holding on the tackle, and unsportsmanlike conduct can and will get you ejected from the game, stadium, and even if bad enough suspended and/or banned entirely. (Like taking out hits so to speak (literally going out on purpose and tackling down so hard that it is clearly intended to injure or worse))
What little football I played, I was a quarter back on offense or a corner back on defense. After you take a couple of those blind side hits, you have a decision to make. Personally, I decided I'm a baseball player.
I find the college games more interesting to watch than the pros. It was explained to me that college is like the minor leagues of football so in reality you are auditioning for a slot in the NFL every week. The NFL players have the job already so they have to show up but they also need to stay in good enough shape to be able to play day in and day out. I guarantee that at my best I would have never lasted a week in the NFL. I was told that when both players have a chance to get to full speed if they hit square on it’s the same force as running two compact cars together head on at 30 mph.
Adrenaline will do amazing things! That's the reason you can spring back to your feet, after a big hit. Sometimes you won't know the extent of any injuries until later, or sometimes until a day or more later! Head injury protocols consisted of siting out for a play or two. Then we went back in the game. And I played iron-man! So I played offencive and defense!..from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸 👋🤠
Rules are pretty much the same as the NFL with hits. When you catch a pass, you have to get 2 feet down in the nfl, you only need 1 foot in college football.
They're just getting their eggs scrambled a little bit. Now, if you really want to hurt, and cry, watch the documentary, It's Time, the Chucky Mullins Story. It'll break your heart.
With the hits being illegal or not through different leagues, not really. College the hits will honestly be harder more likely just because they have a lot of rules for hitting. But highschool probably has the least amount of set rules for hitting because there’s no instant reply so an illegal hit can easily be looked over as a legal hit
If you think these hits are hard, look up Michael Robinson’s hit on Brandon Owens back in 2005. Or Zack Dumas’s hit way back in 1989-1990. Two of the nastiest hits I’ve ever seen.
In any football game, a defender cannot lead with the crown(top of his helmet) in making a tackle or specifically target the ball carrier or quarterbacks head. That’s what you’ll hear called targeting in some of these videos. Now that said, sometimes the zebras(referees) make too loose of an interpretation of that rule and call targets when it clearly wasn’t a goal to target the head on a tackle.
which is why, ever since the Targeting rule was implemented, it's always put under video review. If the review overturns the Targeting call, then the penalized player is allowed to stay in the game, but i think the personal foul still stands.
They’re some new rules against hits that have made the game soft and frustrating to watch at times now. Like it the helmets hit or if somebody is blindsided or defenseless. It’s sad n has made the game much softer than it used to be. Used to as a defender you’d use a huge hit to send a message and get momentum for you’re team. It’s a lot harder to do that in this new Era. CFB is still the best though.
The rules on hitting are the same as far as what you can and can’t do the only difference would be the how big of a penalty you get like targeting in the nfl is just 15 yards targeting in college they get suspended for a half or half of the next game depending on what quarter it happened in and 15 yards
You don't stay down if you get hit. Suck it up and get to the sidelines if ya can. This is why soccer isn't popular in the US. We respect hits and popping back up, not faking injuries
NCAA College Football is finally coming back after years to PS and X-Box. So much better than Madden. I have the newest X-Box but a PS4 and not a PS5 at the moment. What are you playing on brother?
You have to understand that many of these kids have been playing this since they were 6 years old. I have several young cousins that are playing and one of them is a girl.

Remember that exact quote! Getting snot bubbles knocked outa you doesn’t equal injury! lol..

Damn that snap and hit was beautiful to see and hear
You really should react to fights both football and baseball...they get nuts
Hope You Feel Better Adam.
Get well soon.

2:04 😂 he was so happy and then he got upset because he got a penalty 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Only TWO more months and football season will be upon us! I can't wait!!!!!!!

@ 5:12 ~ If that were a wrestling match, you'd call it an *"Ally Oop Power Bomb!"*
Watching you watch football is hilarious. More please
Duwop Mitchell (Arkansas) hit against floridas punt return man in 2016 is the hardest college hit I ever saw, and I witnessed it in person too.
That very last hit was the 2022 PAC12 championship game! Cam Rising was hit, got up, smiled at the defense and then proceeded to whoop their asses! GO UTES!
that game perfectly sums up lincoln riley teams lol loved watching that
You should react to Stanley Cup Final highlights 👍
You saying "Email" wrong is wild haha. "Emeal" -Adam

love all your videos keep up the great work

The hell is an e-mule? Kidding of course. Keep it up, Adam!
Nice video Adam!
Love the content.
I remember that Nebraska vs Michigan game, my friend and I joked he got hit with a WWE tag finisher 😂
I believe you are now a college football fan. Would love to see you react to some of the games this fall.
They get straight back up because they have a certain amount of time to get a play call, told to the team, then lined up before the time runs out then it will be a delay of game
This is a misleading headline. These are just routine impacts. Greatest hits, hardly. How about showing Herschel Walker running over Bill Bates.
That's a good one that I forgot about.
Yes! I could do with a great flash from the past. Go Dawgs!
That hit was mid
Old people shouldn’t be on the internet
@goatitisful The thumbnail headline is "British guy reacts to the biggest college football hits ever".
Rudy! Rudy! Rudy!
Go Irish!

Adam I hope you are feeling better soon ❤
This is why more people like College over NFL. This is the audition for one of the FEW million $ spots in the NFL. You would prolly put a little extra in your game. College sports is SOOO much better!!!
5:17 I was at that game watched it happen live
When I played football and we hit a guy that hard we would call it “Winding His Clock” Bonny.

To be honest the nfl is more strict on how you can hit people than college football is
Just an FYI most players have been playing since at least High School if not younger. Tackle football starts at age 14.
damn adam bro your getting big look at those pipes
SEC we have the talk of talk when stomping

You can't watch that video without watching "The Hit" from Clowney

Need to watch cloney's hit against michigan
Someone’s gotta tell this dude about Tavon Austin
You can recover in the huddle. You got to get up
The dump passes across the middle are the worst. You never see the guy that hits you till he is hitting you, but you know that it's coming.

ADAM COME TO A COLLEGE FOOTBALL GAME THIS SEASON
Roll Tide!!! I bought college football 25 and it is great.
You can hit as hard as you want at any level as long as you don't target the head
I find the college games more interesting to watch than the pros. There is some rules in college football as far as the hitting goes if you cannot hit someone in the head
What’s good bro
The reason why they’re able to get back up is called adrenaline

The only difference between college football and the nfl is that you can’t hit someone with the crown of your helmet in college football
Search up Taylor mays college hits🔥
I’ve seen people take more time to recover from slipping on an icy sidewalk
Am interested in the new college football game
They're just getting their eggs scrambled a little bit. Now, if you really want to hurt, and cry, watch the documentary, It's Time, the Chucky Mullins Story. It'll break your heart.

You should react to nfl Sunday night anthem to see what gets us into the last game of the day 😂
Jadeveon Clowney vs. Michigan not even in there...?

If you want to see a big hit. Look at Quentin Coryatt
2:43 - 2:59. Hail Southern. GATA!!
Where is the Clowney hit against Michigan?????
You don't stay down if you get hit. Suck it up and get to the sidelines if ya can. This is why soccer isn't popular in the US. We respect hits and popping back up, not faking injuries
College football actually has less limitations on hits than the NFL due to the NFL team’s need to protect the players as multi-millionaire assets
NCAA College Football is finally coming back after years to PS and X-Box. So much better than Madden. I have the newest X-Box but a PS4 and not a PS5 at the moment. What are you playing on brother?
some diff. in rules
Yo bro you gotta play NCAA Football 25 when it comes out by EA, or play NCAA 14 on emulator. I'd totally watch it bro
Pls react to Alvin zhou day in the life of the #1 bbq in Texas
You have to understand that many of these kids have been playing this since they were 6 years old. I have several young cousins that are playing and one of them is a girl.
most of the flags are coming in from Helmet to helmet hits some look like targeting which is a big no no
