  • Brundle brakes a little later than Badoer sending them both into the kitty litter. This was filmed with my trusty old Sanyo VMD6P camcorder during the wet Friday moring session.

    Alboreto apparently knew from the first time he drove the 93 Lola that it was pretty horrendous. Bad handing & a very average (at that time) Ferrari V12.
    Maybe not so average as the Porsche V12 he had in the Footwork for the first half of 91 though... :-s

  • @tommykl
    @tommykl 13 лет назад +9

    @chrismcdc2 You're right.
    When the car was first rolled out for testing, Alboreto got in the car, did an installation lap, came back to the pits, stopped the car and said: "We're dead."

    @flipsidedogchop Haha, wish I knew what the hell I meant by that comment a year ago. I think it's because I didn't follow the practice sessions back then, so I'd never seen that incident before. But I most certainly followed the racing as a young kid. :)

      Brundle contested the 1983 British Formula Three Championship, finishing a close second to Ayrton Senna, and the two progressed to Formula One the next year. Brundle was the 1988 World Sportscar Champion with Silk Cut Jaguar, with a record points score; and won the 1988 24 Hours of Daytona, and the 1990 24 Hours of Le Mans for Jaguar Cars.

But sure, he couldn’t even beat a WDC, in a car that failed to finish 9 of 16 races. How can he even show his face when we get to watch Zhao, Sargeant, Ocon and the great talent he dares to criticize. Maybe bring back Danica for some quality commentary?
