This is so fascinating ... really am beginning to believe that ancient india and ancient africa were connected .... especially Ethiopia and Sudan. In our texts, there is alot of mention of Gandar and I wonder if it is linked with Gondar. Similarly the kush kingdom who were fantastic archers.... maybe it's not connected, but the more I read about it, I am beginning to see our texts in a very different perspective!

Does anyone know how it's possible (4:03) that there are trees seemingly growing on top of a brick wall with roots reaching to the ground? I don't understand how that happened
Very common for old trees. When the roots grow out around the base of a tree they can find and sometimes even dig their way through walls- just like ivy digs into your house. Over a long period of time the roots can grow up and over walls as you see here. Sometimes the trunks of trees that have grown next to things can expand with age and begin to engulf sturdy objects they are next to- this takes many hundreds of years. A combination of these two adaptations can see trees grow all over things. In an open feild they grow vertically, towards the sunshine for food. But they can grow in hugely versatile ways, sometimes weaving their way through abandoned buildings or even engulfing iron fences. That's why Mayan temples were descovered buried under labyrinths of trees and roots. Google images "mayan temples in tree roots" for a better visual example. Or "tree grown around bike" will take you to a famous ww2 photo of a young boys bike that has been engulfed by an oak tree, and now stands suspended about 35 foot in the air through the middle of its trunk. Many very old trees just grow around and on top of things in this way. I'm from the UK and we have some very old stuff here too, you can see trees that have grown in this manner as well. Sometimes swallowing walls, iron railings or disused infrastructure. Hope i helped and have a nice day friend 👍
