As much as I love your usual rides, it’s always fun to see you driving new cars that aren’t part of your fleet bc the viewers get to learn about the vehicle in about the same time as you.
Watching Mav’s videos just makes me realize how I’m truly not happy in life. Making me wanna just… uproot my whole life and just go anywhere other than the normal everyday scenery I see on a daily. You’re a true inspiration Mav and I love and appreciate your content so much!!🫶🏾
Watching Mav gives me a similar sentiment I love the idea of doing half the thing things he gets up to but I he also just gives me good vibes in general. life really got going for me again this year, work a job you can disengage from and start working out/going outside everyday you’ll feel better wherever you are. Also if you find inner peace/motivation where you are now you can find it anywhere and you probably should before risking going elsewhere if you still cant find it there.
Legally filming in Canada on a commercial project as a US Citizen is almost impossible. A youtube channel makes money, so it's considered commercial. You need a TRV, to be temporarily in the union OR approved by the union, fill out an impact statement, and have a positive labor impact, state how many jobs it will make, hire canadians for jobs they are qualified for, etc.
The fact that Mav is still making great content like this after all these years, is something i aint taking for granted, thank you for opening my eyes to some incredible places.
I inherited my Dads Vanagon Westy 3 years ago. You're one of the channels I started watching when I got it. Your videos helped me feel confident enough to get out and start using my Westy. It was so cool seeing you in one, it was almost like a weird crossover episode for me. Glad you liked it!
Living the life. You know what they say, “do something you love and you’ll never work a day in your life”. Thanks for taking us along with you. While we’re not there, we are enjoying your adventures and the joy you get from them. It allows us to see places we maybe never would have.

I just moved out of Alaska after living there for 4.5 years and these videos hit the spot. Really miss living there. A part time house for you up there would be great - adventuring as much as you do for content, it would be hard to do that full time, but Alaska has so much to explore and offer. Keep up the good work as always Mav
So cool watching videos of people doing stuff in your own home state, like fishing on the kenai river or staying at hidden lake campground. Just nice seeing people visiting and enjoying your home date and what it has to experience
I'm glad you explained why you're in Alaska at the end of this video. I've been scratching my head trying to figure out if you went from Utah to Alaska or if these videos were left over from your previous trip there. Each time I thought I had it figured out, you would say something to confuse me again. Do as many trips in Alaska as you want. I love watching RUclips videos and TV programs from there. It's such a beautiful place. I really need to take a trip there myself. Keep on trucking!
After a $h¡t day of headache and diarrhea because my wife has a severe sinus infection and refuses to gargle, life is good cuz I can tune her out and watch Mav. And be glad for him. And wish I was out there doing this.
I remember my family rented one of those when we went to Norway/Sweden when I was a kid. Drove from Oslo in Norway up, down, and across to Oland on the east coast of Sweden visiting relatives. The van made the trip a real adventure! Thx for sharing
You have to appreciate how freakin' busy Mav is when his finger is STILL jacked from the drone incident "way back" when he stayed at the underwater hotel in Sweden. This guy is a beast! Thanks Mav for all your hard work and amazing videos!
Good camping food mav. 4 potatoes diced up one green bell pepper diced up .1 tps garlic powder.1tps black pepper 2,cups onions diced up add diced up polish sausage Cook until until soft and shredded cheese serve and enjoy
I have a cousin who lives somewhere in Alaska and he loves it. Does alot of hunting and probably fishing. I think he mostly hunts with his two sons. Great video Mav. Those ribs do look really good. Asparagus not ao much lol. Tyfs God bless you
Born & bread Alaska grown Alaska Fed ❤ I can’t believe you came to Anchorage what the heck Mav in my hometown crazy days!! I could totally see you living here especially because you enjoy doing outdoor activities and adventures this is like one of theee best places to do so hunting fishing snowboarding snowmobiling camping all that and then some!! Beautiful wooden cabins and houses out there in Fairbanks and very pricey as well lol great video as usual Mav keep on truckin Blessings and Love 🫶🏽😍
I was fishing for salmon in Cooper Landing in July! My guide was a Mike also, and I came home with zero salmon 🥲🙃Don't get a guide named Mike. Yes to more Alaska content! Especially a house!
As a Hiace owner, more content with Steve!!!!! I’m not sure what maintenance you’ve done on that motor but it should be the same motor as mine. Replace the whole cooling system & do the timing belt and that thing will take you all over without issues!!! Hit up Jeff at Hiace Southeast, he’ll get you parts
Love the VW! I have a 67 vw deluxe split window walk-through. You will fall in love with the van for sure!! They are really good offroad (even the 2wd like mine) and the aircooled ones have portal axles( the vans not the vanagons) Nothing like an aircooled car but the subie swap is a good idea..
In Europe this vans are called "Transporter" and there are 5 generations of them, T1, T2 etc, they were offered with different configurations like passinger and cargo setups and they were both offered with diesel, turbo diesel and gasoline engines. To this day they are still on the road.
Mav, you have to come to Soldotna during the Sockeye run like middle of July to the end of August! I was born and raised here and it’s world famous for Red fishing. We get tourist from all over the world. And they are amazing eating. Would make a great catch and cook video. We also have amazing camping spots, as you’ve seen. If you ever make it back down this way, let me know and I’ll show you some awesome fishing spots on the river and some awesome camping spots
Wow Mav!!! This video was impressive! I am 51 years old and in my life, I have NEVER seen anyone, including Babe, catch that many fish!!!! You da Man...man!!
I legit have been depressed all day. Because of college and work. Plus my shoulder is messed up from working out. But saw there was a new Mav video and I got super excited! Thanks brother.
I have been waiting all week for this drop. Great to see you with Mom and Dad. I didn't know that info about Sockeye not being good to eat sometimes. I need to Google that and find out all about that. Interesting infor. I eat alot of Salmon, wild caught Sockeye and love it Soo much. Alaska is beautiful. Such a wild and unspoiled place. Truly, I would fall in love with Alaska I am sure. That Westfalia rocks. I loved the colour. I love the simplicity of those late models. Not all the computer gizmos in them. I like the new cars and trucks as well but just for the sake of simplicity, I would love having my VW Van still. Great video Mav. Thanks for taking me along via video! Until next Sunday. See you then.
MAV!! Great video brother! Next time on them ribs, smaller fire and no foil at first. Then after about an hour or so wrap in double foil with some butter and more seasoning and set off the flame for 2-3 hours. Turn around every 30 minutes or so. Then you'll have something.
With all the times you’re traveling around the rivers you NEED to try gold panning. Exploring rivers for gold or dirt for arrow heads, shark teeth or diamonds would double your view count. Putting it out there first, you’re welcome
I live in anchorage alaska grew up all over this state Fairbanks is hot in summer n super cold in winter like below 40s love seeing u share with people what alaskas really like it's a peaceful Beautiful place
I can believe that you couldn’t get salmon in the stores. When I was up there I bought it at the boat docks. And yes all food is more expensive than in the 48. Thanks for another great video.
Sunday night saved by Mav ✔️
I always look forward to Mav's Sunday night videos!

If you can do it, I recommend it. We've been on the road for 8 years and it was the best decision I've ever made!

All of Mavs' videos are so relaxing and you can see just how much effort is put into it
I was thinking the same thing.
Way more effort behind the scenes
He's got hired guns to sort out these videos.
yep he goes the extra mile to make you feel you are there with him lol.
That moment of peace by the fire was super nice. Quiet moments are important and I'd love to see more.
I want to see you take Steve on an epic multi state road trip. Or even better, a trip through all of the territories in Canada.
I wanna see him renovate the humvee Ik it’s not practical for long trips but could still be cool to see
Fr Mav has all these cool vehicles but we never see them
I thought you were talking about Steve Wallis
I’d also love to see a trip in Steve

OMG! It's already been a year since your Alaska trip with your mom and dad 😲 it is really crazy how fast time goes the older we get 🤯
It flew by! We sure had a great adventure with Mav in Alaska.
Oh wow! 😮🤯 That trip with his parents just seemed like yesterday!! 😳
I was thinking the same thing!
I wasnt sure how your content could get better, but an Alaska based Mav would be EPIC.
I just moved out of Alaska after living there for 4.5 years and these videos hit the spot. Really miss living there. A part time house for you up there would be great - adventuring as much as you do for content, it would be hard to do that full time, but Alaska has so much to explore and offer.

Never a dull moment with Mav.
I'd love more Alaska content. A road trip from MN to Fairbanks would be incredible for the channel. Fish and cook your way. And don't rush!
That would be great to see you in Alaska permanently!
You would not lack for content for your videos!
Alaska is the state I want to see most. Definitely enjoy the idea of more Alaskan Mav content
I'm so excited you came back to Alaska. I may be biased of my home state, but it's pretty great! It's interesting to see it from a new perspective

This is awesome! I’m watching a Mav video while truck camping in Duluth! Makin my way up the north shore tomorrow!
Rainy weather, my friend, but the fall colors are spectacular!
weekend just isnt complete without a mav video
I think a move or second home in Alaska would be awesome.
Who remembers when he did this with Peric and Sobi. Where it all started- They should do a reunion.
Alright!! More Alaska! Let’s go Mav!
I’ve lived here my whole life, it’s cool seeing you visit my home places and do the things we do
Would love to see more Alaska content ❤
I'm down in Homer if you ever need fish, our freezer and fridge is always full this time of year. The boat is out most weekends 🤗
Thanks for another great adventure, Mav!!! ❤
Every time I watch you cook it looks like it's your first time.
"There's no way I'd touch that with a 10 ft pole" then proceeds to touch it the next second 😂
Literally my first thought loool
VW T3 is a really nice car! I just built a camping van out of my old VW T4 because you inspired me :D greetings from Germany Mav!
It would be cool to see more travels in Alaska! Great videos
It would be so dope if you collabed with the outdoor boys!
Thanks Mav for always bringing us these awesome contents i enjoy them very much

"I wouldn't touch this with a 10 foot pole"
Proceeds to grab it with his hands 😂
Every time Mav tries out a new vehicle I wanna buy one! The Westie looks like so much fun! Thanks for taking us with you Mav! So much fun!
I love watching these videos at night there so chill and relaxing thanks for making great content Mav
I would LOVE to see you give famous Dave a run for his money! Smoking ribs while camping would make some truly amazing content
Uploaded just in time for this long drive I got 😅
Love the VW!

You will fall in love with the van for sure!!
They are really good offroad (even the 2wd like mine) and the aircooled ones have portal axles( the vans not the vanagons)
Nothing like an aircooled car but the subie swap is a good idea..
Mav: “Guess we’re going to have to get some salmon at the grocery store”
Also Mav: proceeds to walk out with ribs! 😂😂
I hope he peeled the silver skin off those ribs. I didn't see him. Lol.
They didn't have salmon as he mentioned.
Was thinking why he couldn't have saved a rainbow to eat instead :) They no good?
It’s a good Sunday! Sending love from: NewJersey ❤
If I had a dollar for every time Mav opened up a brand new olive oil bottle and didn’t pull the tab of before trying to pour it I’d be doing ok 😂
5 dollars?
Yes!!! And how many half used bottles of EVOO does he have lying around! Great stuff though!
@@Charlie1776_ I’ve been watching mav for like 3-4 year definitely would cover at least a quarter of my bar tab lol and that would be alright 😂
Lol!
Mav is the greatest RUclipsr, ever‼️
LETS GOOOOOOOO

Stay safe out there.
those pre made ribs are perfect food for camping,, less time cooking and more time doing important stuff like fishing or campfire watching
I want that van! Great content as usual.. Thanks for letting us tag along
5 days of fishing and filming and you got a couple trout!!!
Nice trick mav!!!!❤❤❤❤
Therapeutic Sundays with Mav to start our weeks right ❤
Everytime you turn the key it’s almost like she’s debating if she will start for you. Brave man. Enjoyed this one bud.
New to your channel and I LOVE it! You're easy on the eyes, makes it even better. 😊 Stay safe.

Hope ya been enjoying yourself mav from a longtime alaskan. I have been enjoying your channel for the past week.
Would love to see ya take on smoked ribs. Cool video, knew fish changed colors but dayum
you should take that pontiac camper thing and have it become a cummins 4x4- that would be fantastic!
That transition between vans was cleaannn
I live in anchorage alaska grew up all over this state Fairbanks is hot in summer n super cold in winter like below 40s love seeing u share with people what alaskas really like it's a peaceful Beautiful place
Do more fly fishing! This was awesome!
What helps me on ribs is cutting them b4 I cook em. Hope that helps. Stay safe Mav. Great vid as always
I love how you cared for the birds to leave the other eyeball for them
That transition though at 0:34 was clean👀 gotta say I do love the green van more. 😊
Hey Mav. Another great vid! I love when you are out there in nature.. It's where you need to be.. The ribs are ribbing. Enjoy!! 🤤🥰❤️🐞

Nice catches. Yummy ribs. Cool van. Thanks for sharing.
Perfect end to my Sunday! Thanks Mav 🤙🏽
Love the Sunday evening Mav video's
I can believe that you couldn’t get salmon in the stores. When I was up there I bought it at the boat docks. And yes all food is more expensive than in the 48. Thanks for another great video.
