    here in north vancouver, BC, canada, i can imagine at least that many fire trucks showing up. the response for a fire alarm being pulled or any suspected fire seems to be 2 or 3, and i've seen like 5 at a small house fire

    It's Hong Kong. Lives are more expensive and therefore require more as a safety precaution. Why are lives more expensive in Hong Kong? Dunno, just check out the GDP per capita.

    I guess that's what you get when you don't take proper care of your neon sign, eh!?
    Probably had a 6KV transformer for the thing, left unmaintained for years on end this kinda thing is bound to happen!
