[Hong Kong] Fire Services Ambulances Responding! - HKFSD Wong Tai Sin Station

- Опубликовано: 28 сен 2024
- Captured here are several emergency ambulances of the Hong Kong Fire Services Department (HKFSD) responding out of Wong Tai Sin Ambulance Depot, which is attached to Wong Tai Sin Fire Station in the the New Kowloon region of Hong Kong. This ambulance depot happens to be the busiest in the whole city, as the densely populated district is home to a high number of senior citizens. During the evening peak hours it is not uncommon to see ambulances respond out of this depot as frequently as every five minutes!

ok
Good👍🏻 almost all of the ambulance depot are also busy
Those people didn't even yield an inch for letting the ambulance through
Sadly very common in Hong Kong...
2:29 loving that light pattern
"Great catches Timur" :P
Finn K Thanks! :)
Nice unexpected video lol, always good to see some more 1:1 HKFSD stuff ;)
1:12 wow, hit us with a double catch right off the bat, really shows how busy the station is!
4:07 Three seconds of silence for... well, you-know-what. But for what it's worth, I like this less-filmed perspective. You've always been known to "take the road less-taken" to bring your audience unique material, so worthy sacrifice I guess? Lol
Haha thanks for the comment man! Oh yea...this station is so busy I’m gonna have to make at least 2 more little collection videos to use up all the clips 😅
Aw man, that fateful decision lol (if only I had a time machine) but I appreciate your positivity Jimbo! 😆
Perfect catch!
Thank you! :)
Those sirens sound very similar to older sirens used here in Brazil, although here they're actually really hard to hear.
I remember a few times where I only noticed an emergency vehicle had its siren on when it was literally right next to me.
In poland, when police drives fast is very hard to hear sirens.
They use Premier Hazard
good job keep up the good work :D
Thank you! :)
Americans need to watch this video to see just how simple emergency vehicles (and responses) can be 😂😂
Finn K I wouldn’t call these ambulances simple. I think they are very well designed for visibility and functionality. The livery itself adds a lot to them being noticed, and the lights are well placed. 👍🏼
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Is it on nightmode?
:/
No Philippines?
This is a Hong Kong video.
He was asking to see philippine videos
I doubt that will happen
After that many videos unloaded have you found anything special with Hong Kong's emergency services? :D
245alan What do you mean?
There's a slight difference between fire service, police force and emergency medical service. I wonder if you have noticed it :P
245alan I think there’s a pretty big difference between them, in terms of what they do and the way their vehicles look... 😅 I’m not sure what you are thinking about specially?
They all seem to prefer European vehicles, and the emergency services like to use different siren tones to distinguish themselves (even though this makes no sense).
@@TGGGlobalEmergencyResponses By meaning a slight difference i actually means the lights of each department. For example, the PD uses blue and red, ambulance uses blue light and Fire uses Red lights.
Does China even come close to this quality of EMS?
Some parts of mainland China have similar levels of care, however not on the scale that Hong Kong does, nor with the logistical sophistication of the HKFSD.
As far as I know emergency ambulance service is entirely free for HK residents and visitors/ tourists.
It depends on which aspects you are comparing. Hong Kong’s ambulance service is based on European standards, but also lacks in some areas.
Finally XD
Beautifully caught ^_^
A coupe of these ambulances have now been retired.
I wonder what those sirens in the background were in the last clip :P
Lol thanks. I knew you’d have to rub it in...😆🙄
Ah interesting. They still seemed to be in pretty good shape in early 2018. So not many older sprinter models still on the road?
@@TGGGlobalEmergencyResponses
;)
There's a still a couple, but progressively all are going to the yellow one
The old ones are the one with the square grille lights, and the spotlights on the side and rear are not LED.
You can also distinguish them by their number, but that's to deep for now :P
Haha yea I know, the square grille light units are rare to see. So does that mean they will also re-paint the newer Sprinters that still have the old livery...?
@@TGGGlobalEmergencyResponses no
the white ones will be phased out/retired as needed, all incoming new ambulances will be yellow
@TGG-Global Emergency Responses
why are the sirens so quiet?
The siren volume can be adjusted
Very Lovely Catches Keep Up The Amazing Work
Thanks my friend! I will :D
Great catches! Gotta go back to HK one day...
Thank you! I really hope you do :D
Can't get enough of these sirens! 😂
Good, cos I still have a ton of these clips to upload... 😆👍🏼
Awesome video!! 4:49 you failed hard on this one right?
Thanks! Yep that’s the moment where I made a really bad decision lol (but still got a nice perspective of the ambulance turnout).
TGG - Global Emergency Responses oh rip, yah 😂
The sirens seem so quiet compared to US
That’s just because they often don’t turn them on full volume. When it’s all the way up it is really loud. Check out some of my other Hong Kong Ambulance videos.
@@TGGGlobalEmergencyResponses they have controllable volume??
That's really awesome. You never need full volume in the city, all that does is deafening pedestrians. And then you can ramp it up to 120db for highway use! Very practical and safe.
Finn K Yes they do. Actually many sirens have volume controls, but those aren’t always used. You are right, it is not always necessary, and with almost 1 millions ambulance responses a year in Hong Kong this greatly reduces noise pollution in the city. My only concern is that they often have the siren on super low volume (and obviously nobody gives way or even notices) for low priority calls. In those cases I think there is no point using lights and sirens at all, because the public will only think the ambulances ‘always’ have their siren on and are ‘not to be taken seriously’.
TGG - Global Emergency Responses They use Premier Hazard
3 medics in one ambulance, What's that in aid of?
Everett's Emergency Vids Probably for cases where CPR needs to be done so that medics can rotate. However for these cases fire appliances may respond as well. If anything it allows 50% more manpower to be at scene when compared to having just 2 medics on board.
@@andison627 that's a good point, here in the UK we only use a twin crew ambulance rig exactly like the sprinters, but we have RRV's that respond primarily to calls where CPR is needed and ambulances are dispatched if they're requested
Everett's Emergency Vids Nine times out of ten having just two medics on an ambulance is probably for budget saving...
Besides, having 3 guys and/or girls in one truck allows just one ambulance to be deployed if active CPR is needed, whereas if there’s only 2 lads on a truck you’ll need to call for backup, which means less resources available to cover the rest of the area...and we all know how stretched the NHS is...
@@andison627 unfortunately yes, I can't disagree there because our health system is screwed
In Shanghai, each ambulance has one driver, one on board doctor and another support medic who assists the doctor with CPR and carries the stretcher. However, in China, most ambulances are twin crewed, it is just that Shanghai is a big city and has the best ambulance service in China.
Very nice catch!
Thank you! :D
