Talia Shire is one of the most underrated actresses of all time. She was regarded as sort of a nepo baby because of the family connections and status, but she really brought the characters of Connie and Adrian to life in the Godfather and Rocky franchises. No one could've played those roles better and she made the ensemble casts better for being involved. I would love to see her get a great role in a series and put all those years of experience to good use.
Yes I was talking about this with somebody just yesterday, how good she was and how come we haven’t seen her in nothing major since Rocky V. Still with the nepotism she could’ve done something, she really brought the Adrian character to life in a fantastic way. Look what Nic Cage did within the same family
Love them too, it’s interesting to see this kind of documentaries, you find out a lot about how they really were outside the character. I have more to upload as long as I don’t get any copyright strikes from RUclips. Thank you for taking your time and commenting on this clip 🥊
Just as Dr Zarkov in Flash Gordon, could not be brainwashed as long as he had all the Beatles songs to play in his head. I could never be brainwashed, for I have Rocky in my head, forever to watch. Thank you sly for making more than a film, more than a character in Rocky. Thanks to all the actors and the fantastic characters they portrayed and that you created. As a little boy of 9 yrs old I found Rocky, through my Dad. We used to have a video man (who came with a van) you would go out into the street and pick one. There wasn’t much choice back then, VHS & Betamax being the new thing. He would come back the following week and you would return and pick another. One evening my Dad picked up Rocky and said this looks good boy, it’s about a boxer called Rocky ( he then went on to tell me he must be named after Rocky Marciano) at that age I was familiar with Marciano, my Dad was a big fight fan and I would watch fights with him. My hero was Ali. So Rocky was a good fit. We all watched it that night as a family and just what a fit it was…….excitement, pity, pride, grit, determination, love, self respect, desire, motivation and decency. All wrapped up for me to learn. Rocky is my hero, Sylvester Stallone is my hero and I have been a fan of his since falling in love with Rocky and all he stood for all those years ago (46). Sylvester Stallone is more than an actor, a writer, a producer…..like Kirk Douglas or Marlon Brando he is an icon. Someone to look up to and aspire within his own struggles of life and how Rocky came to be. What it took to get it there. I still cry, whoop, shout and continue to be stunned at the excellence of Rocky, the whole saga. I always will……….”Get up you lazy bum, cos Mickey loves ya”.🥊🥊🥊🥊🥊❤️💜❤️💜❤️💜❤️🥊🥊🥊🥊🥊🥊
Love to see so many people who kept going because of Rocky. It’s amazing what a movie can do and how it can change your life. I didn’t had my dad close so every time I felt like I needed one I watched all of them Rocky. Always felt connected to Stallone in some way and I am here because of him. Thank to him we all the found the power to go one more round. “ you gonna eat lightning and you’re gonna crap thunder kid “ Stallone wrote all this and Mickey played to perfection. Thank you for sharing your experience. All the best buddy ❤️🥊🥊❤️🐅❤️🐅 keep punching
No doubt. I read some interesting things about him and his boxing career. Burt went undefeated as a pro with 20 or 22 wins and was a sparring partner for heavyweights that fought Ali and Foreman. Legend no doubt
It’s 3 part on the Rocky Balboa Collection that I have on BluRay, I haven’t seen it before either , by the looks of Stallone i think it’s done in 2006-2008 around Rocky Balboa or Rambo IV. It’s a great documentary for a great movie

When I saw Talia Shire in Rocky as Adrian for the first time, I thought 'Wow, she's adorable, and those big chocolate brown eyes' I instantly fell in love with her.
@@AlexanderBalboa20 Absolutely. She was so adorable as Adrian. Talia is gorgeous. For me the Rocky series is 1 to 3. After three, I felt it lost some of the magic. Those first three movies are a nice package that all link together nicley as one story. Besides, how could it ever be the same again anyway without Mickey. Also, I don't think there's nver been a better aggressor/rival than Clubber Lang. As much as Apollo was a rival, he's still a good guy. Rocky 4 for me, was like a 2 hours music video, Rocky 5 was just horrendous, and I found Rocky Balboa very depressing.
@ManvasPachenko yes it could end after 3 and be perfect. Even Stallone said it’s not going to be a 4,5 or 6. But the people were demanding more Rocky . 4 had amazing box office gate so Stallone couldn’t stop
@AlexanderBalboa20 4 did do well, but its not one that I like. I haven't it in at least 25 years. Whereas I watched 1, 2 and 3 earlier this year. Then I watched 3 again only a couple of weeks ago.. 3 is definitely one of my favourite movies of all time.
I watch all Stallones movie every year , I still have 1 as my personal favourite. 3 is awesome and one of the Rocky movies that actually goes into technicality of boxing
As a child, the buy-in at the Rocky movie was 99%+ = Very believable. -People thought about this movie (and their life) a long time after leaving the theatre.
Yes he was actually a badass , a sparring partner for a heavyweight that fought Ali and Foreman , I forgot his name. Burt would’ve dropped Stallone , there’s a scene in Rocky 3 where Paulie says to Rocky ‘ I don’t sweat you’ I’m starting to believe he wouldn’t 😂
I love 1. Second one makes Rocky one of us in a way , and I really wanted him to be a tank, which he does at the end, but the process is painful for him. Great writing by Stallone
Yes Rocky 1 and 2 might be some of the only motivational movies that have no cussing. When he stopped writing scripts for himself he forgot about his roots
@@AlexanderBalboa20 She was in The Godfather movies too. Which were directed by her brother Francis Ford Coppola. Other than those movies and Rocky, I think a lot of her work has been a lot of made for TV movies.
@@ManvasPachenko A few interesting facts for you to expand on Talia Shires role in the Godfather. Talia Shire is actually Francis Ford Coppolas younger sister. Francis Ford Coppola obviously being a very famous movie director, producer and author that made the Godfather movies and many other classics. Talia Shire is also Nicholas Cages aunty. Nicholas Cage is the nephew of Francis Ford Coppola and Talia Shire. His real birth name is Nicholas Coppola but he changed his sir name to Cage in the 1980s because he used to get mocked for it.
Re edit Rocky 4 again but this time have Apollo win the fight against Drago in the Las Vegas arena as an alt universe. Do it to honor Carl Weathers for his great performance as Apollo Creed.
@@AlexanderBalboa20 I know you can’t my friend, my comment was referring to Sly Stallone, he does have the power to go back again and re edit. I would have just like to have seen Apollo win against Drago in the Las Vegas arena. Apollo and Rocky already had 3 fights, one with just the two of them, I don’t know that he’d want to fight Rocky a 4th time?
Yes I know what you mean. They had to kill the character to make Drago the villain and even a bigger obstacle for Rocky to overcome. Had he won I’m sure Apollo wouldn’t stop and would challenge Balboa 😂 it’s 1-1 on what we know and the third one looked more like a draw , both hitting the same time at the end of Rocky 3 , Rocky being trained by Apollo. We can only dream my friend. Best of luck to you
I think Burt had a massive thing for Talia!! 😆 ahhh I’m glad I stumbled upon this behind the scenes ! Rocky is the greatest love story ever told! I was always called weird when I would tell people that rocky is not a fighting movie and I feel vindicated by Mr young when he said so… I feel the creed movies were more geared towards a fight movie and lacked that love connection and doesn’t sit well within the series but the first five and maybe balboa are great flicks!
I had to walk past the theater in Media on my way home from pumping gas job. I could never get by the theater without going in. Probably 7 times. 2.00 to entertain a 17 yo for 2 plus hours. Well worth it every time
Love the bit about Burgess everyone saying he was a legend at acting and had done loads of movies. But Stallone smashed him into oblivion in the apartment scene. Sylvester should get more respect for acting abilities. Forget the garbage films.
Yeah Stallone was fighting his own demons in that scene , he was thinking of his father so he didn’t hold back. He was a brilliant actor but just got cast as serious tough roles that dont act much, they only need physical appearance. Beautiful scene the apartment one I think

Yes she had everything, the looks , the voice , the shyness. Played that part to perfection I would say. Don’t see that kind of acting in today’s movies
Sly. That movie and first blood are absolute genius. I never tire of them ! An American treasure
Same here buddy. I could watch Sly’s movie all day long. Specially all Rocky all Rambo and Demolition Man
one of the best movie ever made and the score is amazing that give life to the movie the best! God bless you sly and thank you from the rest of us
Indeed the music made the movie a lot better. Sly is the man and will always be. Great writer, actor and director
All my family was alive when I saw this.
❤️
As long as your alive they are alive 🙏
😢
Rocky is a really great Wonderfull story, i like all of them but the first one and the second one is something really special with plenty of Wonderfull scenes, the ice skating scen is the top scene for me I think.. this are such good actors too.. thanks for this upload.
Yes such a wonderful scene , and to think it came out so good because they didn’t had money for extra , it’s like Talia says , something magic happened. Thank you for taking your time to comment my friend 🥊🐅
School of LIFE❤
When I saw Talia Shire in Rocky as Adrian for the first time, I thought 'Wow, she's adorable, and those big chocolate brown eyes' I instantly fell in love with her.
That’s how Stallone described her as well ! She played Adrian to perfection
Definitely a movie to make you think , a lot of people identify with Rocky
This movie helped shape my childhood and therefore, my life
Crazy to think burt young was the real boxer. Not many people mention it
Yes he was actually a badass , a sparring partner for a heavyweight that fought Ali and Foreman , I forgot his name. Burt would’ve dropped Stallone , there’s a scene in Rocky 3 where Paulie says to Rocky ‘ I don’t sweat you’ I’m starting to believe he wouldn’t 😂
Burt's all heart , the way he talks about the other actors and certain scenes.
Hi thanks for this great documentary. Question, where is part 1?
It’s uploading right now actually, it took some time to make the image clearer. Cheers ! 🥂
I always knew you waz pretty, don't tease me, I ain't teasin ❤
Haha Stallone had that game since the 70’s , great scene
I can honestly see TALIA and Sylvester as a couple
Burgess Meredith no question should have got an Oscar for this performance
One of the best performances of all time for sure
It is a great film. Rocky II is a close second to the original
I love 1. Second one makes Rocky one of us in a way , and I really wanted him to be a tank, which he does at the end, but the process is painful for him. Great writing by Stallone
love the line 'Like the bible says , you ain't gonna get a second chance' - I'd prefer that Bible to be honest!
That whole Mickey quote is just so inspirational
Back when Stallone made movies that were positive and no one cussed or blasphemed. Oh how times have changed.
Yes Rocky 1 and 2 might be some of the only motivational movies that have no cussing. When he stopped writing scripts for himself he forgot about his roots
Hey yo…. STELLLLLLLA! My favorite line in that movie
Wow man Stella was is the movie as well ? Missed that 😂
@ Yeah, at the end!
Rocky V + Rocky II =‘s Rocky VII … Adrian’s Revenge!
Ayo that’s bananas 🍌😂😂
It's crazy that Carl weathers only outlived Burt Young by one year R.I.P to both actors Burt young was a real boxer Google pics
Yes I know about Burt he says in one part of the documentary that he was undefeated pro. RIP Carl gone too soon
Talia is so beautiful
Talia is way over the top with her grandeur descriptions.
Yeah I noticed that, it’s her biggest role to date so maybe that’s the reason. I always wondered why I haven’t seen her in something else
@@AlexanderBalboa20 She was in The Godfather movies too. Which were directed by her brother Francis Ford Coppola. Other than those movies and Rocky, I think a lot of her work has been a lot of made for TV movies.
Yes , I think The Godfather was before Rocky. Could be on TV , I always thought she would be great in other movies tho
@@ManvasPachenko
A few interesting facts for you to expand on Talia Shires role in the Godfather.
@@AlexanderBalboa20
She starred in the 1979 Horror movie Prophesy.
Re edit Rocky 4 again but this time have Apollo win the fight against Drago in the Las Vegas arena as an alt universe. Do it to honor Carl Weathers for his great performance as Apollo Creed.
I don’t have the facilities to do that big man 😂 if Apollo wins he’s gonna try to fight Rocky again 😂🥊
Best of luck to you
Before chubs got into golfing....damn alligator done ripped my hand off
burt young man, got me teary
He is very well spoken and has a soft side to him that I didn’t notice in the Rocky saga
Must have been so hard to act like shit bag to Talia from Burt..
Yes , with Talia’s looks is would be difficult to act like that but Burt did. I think being friends behind camera helped a lot
Burt Young was incredible
Burt was a very good professional boxer in his youth
I think Burt had a massive thing for Talia!! 😆 ahhh I’m glad I stumbled upon this behind the scenes ! Rocky is the greatest love story ever told! I was always called weird when I would tell people that rocky is not a fighting movie and I feel vindicated by Mr young when he said so… I feel the creed movies were more geared towards a fight movie and lacked that love connection and doesn’t sit well within the series but the first five and maybe balboa are great flicks!
Excellent
You are right sir
I had to walk past the theater in Media on my way home from pumping gas job. I could never get by the theater without going in. Probably 7 times. 2.00 to entertain a 17 yo for 2 plus hours. Well worth it every time
I love this little story. I would’ve done the same. My go to movie regardless of how I feel
The Lords of Flatbush
Brooklyn right?
@jackietreehorn5561 yeah
@@muhdshafizabdaziz5029 I'm from Ireland but remember flatbush worked there 25 years ago
1,3,2,4,5 is my order of preference.
That’s a good ranking. Nothing beats 1
11:36 - Rocky - Adrian, I like you, believe me....come smell my arm pits...hahaha
😂😂😂
Da da da da da da.....if that tune doesn't inspire you......😮
Great one
Pauly really fell for his sister
He was hating himself more than anything
Yo Mikck!
You’re gonna eat lightning ⚡️, you’re gonna crap thunder 😂

Perfect
"get up you sona-ba-witch.. cuz mickey loves you..."... that's a real dad.
That’s why I love these movies…very motivational
👍🏾
Love the bit about Burgess everyone saying he was a legend at acting and had done loads of movies. But Stallone smashed him into oblivion in the apartment scene. Sylvester should get more respect for acting abilities. Forget the garbage films.
Yeah Stallone was fighting his own demons in that scene , he was thinking of his father so he didn’t hold back. He was a brilliant actor but just got cast as serious tough roles that dont act much, they only need physical appearance. Beautiful scene the apartment one I think
Good grief.
Stallone a great actor and film director but fuck me, he was more ripped at 70 than at 20...haha more juiced than a Spanish orchard
@@jackietreehorn5561 Wave of the future, dude. 100% electronic.

Thank god you didnt liked it. IQ number would’ve dropped hard
@ thank god I watched just. two seconds and my IQ dropped with each seconds of it. You’re an idiot that doesn’t even know what. MAKING OF even means
Get out

He got it right. Old actors being interviewed.
very romantic, but his jokes were...,Lol,not very good,My bad
At least Adrian was smiling 😂
No.
Let’s say maybe
this movie was great for me as a kid . loved it
Same here. Stallone really did a hell of a job 🥊🐅
It’s True how one woman portrayed so many female strengths
Adrian was his rock and his courage ❤️
