    I watched all the episodes on anchoring. You could not ask for a more informative and succinct tutorial on the subject. Extremely well done!

    Great walk throughs! So many channels are all about pretty scenery and miss the opportunity to make it educational. This series was super helpful!

    Great set of video’s on anchoring. Calm and clear. Hopefully we can replicate that on our next charter.

      Glad you liked it Kevin. It's a matter of practice, practice, practice!

    Nice video, thanks. It's essential to work out the hand signals beforehand to avoid the rookie shouting and/or name calling. Embarrassing for all on board and for those watching from other already anchored boats, too. Thanks for talking about good anchoring etiquette; very important in smaller anchorages or if the wind pipes up or shifts. Hope you're having a great time!

      Thanks jeflix. Yes, we have seen more than a few heated discussions onboard boats trying to anchor, and it's no fun for anyone!

    Thanks for this, my two biggest unknowns when it comes to sailing are motoring in the marina and anchoring.

      Those are not unusual concerns for boaters. Much will come from regular practice, observing what went right and wrong, and practicing still more. Good luck!

    Another well planned and presented instructional video. I liked the supporting graphics too. That must've taken some time but it supported your narration well. Thanks again and I look forward to your next "how-to" sailing lesson.

    Great video series. I watched all three anchoring videos and found them very easy to understand and very useful. Also, if I may, I would like to suggest a video on pros and cons about mainsail in-mast furling system. I think Sea Rose has it and would like to know how that has worked for you. Sheers. Raul.

      Oh - great idea! We’ll put some thought into a video on this topic. There are certainly several ways to look at these options!

    Another great video, thank you. I've been on some boats that have used an anchor alarm and I'm interested in your thoughts and experiences? They seemed a little erratic to me, but that was about 5 years ago now and I'm wondering whether the tech has moved forward to deliver something more reliable?

      Thank you, glad you liked it. We have an anchor alarm on our raymarine chart plotter but it's hard to hear when we are in our bunk so we rely on a mobile app called Anchor Pro. There are many out there, but this one has worked well for us. If you have wifi on the boat, it can also text you drag alarms if you leave the boat.

    regarding communicatons, if your mobile phone provider provides this: Make a call with for instince whatsapp, use a headset, iike BT or wired headphones and be able to talk normally with eachother

    • @LifeFourPointZero
      @LifeFourPointZero  7 месяцев назад

      That should certainly work! We love the dedicated headsets that don’t need to rely on a cellular or internet call since we often don’t have wonderful mobile service as we travel. Still, for people to try out this quiet, direct ear-to-ear communication, your suggestion is terrific!
