Your review on the archeon bugout scales captivated me so much I bought some awhile ago. They're awesome! First off, you can tell whoever made them actually cared. They are a little slim but that's kind of the point. They took enough time and effort to remake the bugout handle instead of just cutting out a bugout handle shape. I had titanium flytanium crossfire scales previously, that were nice, but not this nice. The milling, fit and finish (instantly centered my bugout), and attention to detail is great! Highly recommend, and thank you Erica for actually testing your gear so average people like us know we aren't wasting our money.
I got some AWT Mil-Spec Type 3 Hard Coat Anodized Aluminum scales for my black PM2 and it looks SICK all murdered out. Completely changed the PM2 for me. The action got better as well. Now I just need to get a black ti lanyard hole plug and blacked out Lynch NW deep carry clip.
That OD green para 3 is super cool! I have a bugout in the same color scheme and it’s amazing! I love me some s30v. I’ve not gotten to handle or use any of the really premium steels besides s30v. Mostly 154cm and cpm154. Great content! Stay sharp!
Recently picked up the Adamas and Mini Adamas….I thought I saw a video with AWT scales on the Adamas. Definitely have to check that company out. Thanks for the heads up. Love your in depth look at everything you use and abuse. Hope your nose is healing up well. Stay safe.
Did I miss what they are made of? I heard you say they were coated but didnt pick up on what material the base is constructed of. Looking forward to the full review.
Erica, I have these scales otw for a Para 3, Para 2, and Yojimbo 2. Apparently Spyderco uses permanent red Loctite. How are you getting your screws out in those without stripping them out? Any recommendations? Thanks!
They do not use red loctite anymore to my knowledge. I've purchased several in the past couple years, and they have all had blue loctite. It no longer voids the warranty to disassemble them either. Heat or solvents will soften red loctite if you do ever run into it
Great review, thanks. If they fix the clip issue on the skinny (maybe they already have?), I'm in. I have the Archon, love it. Also have the full size Griptilian and mini Griptilian. I wish they had chamfered the edges and also rounded the corner where the lanyard hole is. It's too squarish and not that comfortable for my taste. They also need a bit of inner milling on the larger Grip. Just my $.02.
@@danielwasusedhahaha isn’t that just the way the cookie crumbles. It’s a beautiful thing though that people are still flexing their individual tastes and not falling into that terrible trap of turning into sheepeople and just thinking they’re are getting what they want when in fact they’re just being overwhelmed by so many other people’s opinions. I personally love how well the work on the manxis LW especially when they for some reason especially with the manixs are not dropping any of the numerous steels they do in anything but the lightweight material which is a bit of a pain but what can you do other than either except it or go for this excellent quality option.

Orange on the black knife would look amazing!!
Awt scales on my mini Bugout are great. Blade centered perfectly. Love the orange pm3!

I just installed a set of the skinny on my Para 3, having a hard time centering the blade. None of the usual tricks I use have worked so far
LynchNW scales for the pm2 are also one liner
Thanks for heads up on the scales will be watching for them, and great mug 👍😎
Nice - I’m looking for some Shaman scales, and I like the color ways. Thanks!
Been looking at those for my pm3
I like the orange scales. I think I can only get flytanium ones sent to Australia
They make awesome Benchmade Grip and mini grip scales.
I was looking at these the other day. Thank you for showing them!

Damn those green scales are sick
Those scales look sick 👍

Thank you so much! Cheers, and thank you for the support!!!
Hmm. I'm really tempted!!
I bought the bugout scales after your first review now I have to have those Para 3 skinny scales
Love hearing that!!!
Do these replace the LW Para 3?
I wonder when they will have the shaman ones out.
Touched on that in the video
They are making them as we speak!

Aluminum!
*Cheers!*
Thank you.
How does the sunflower color look?

Is there any backspacer that can be paired with the AWT scale on a para 3?
I have there scales on my mini adamas and love them. Great quality. Will get more of there scales in the future.
Do they make those scales for the Manix 2?
Ah, never mind. You just answered me. Thanks!

My clip ended up being warped it wasn't an issue of AWT!
Are those the cerakote? I'm on the fence about getting a pair but hesitant about the durability of the color before it fades/chips
Any word on if AWT is going to do scales for the frn Deka? I feel like there's going to be a demand for that. Lol
Opooh good question!
Can't wait for the lightweight scales from them. They also need a skinny para 2 scale no one makes that!!!
You’d have to modify the liners for a skinny pm2 scale.
Nice Scales hope your teeth isn’t to loose regards
i cant be buying more knifes why you making me want a para 3..
Because they are awesome !!!
@@ericasedc i have 2 people that really got me into the knife world and one of them loves his para3 the other HATES the para3

Better scales would transform my Manix LW!
