Awesome! I also swapped out the scales on three of my Shamans for AWT scales and couldn't be happier. Thanks for sharing!

Very blingy, but yeah, aluminum looks cheap to me when it's soda can shiny, no matter what texture it has, I don't know why.
Colored, not so bad, especially purple, which I love.
I can still love the looks, but there's an urk in the back of my mind.
The price is more budget, which is in my range, but unless it's designed well, I'd think there'd be odd balance feels on a knife you're used to fidgeting with or use a lot.
That in itself could make or break the knife, maybe causing someone to dig something they didn't often take out before.
Thanks for showing it and the experience of installing them, that tool looks priceless.
I only have the lefty pm2 and haven't found scales for it yet, but these nuggets of info are gems for when I do.

I like to etch it in a weak NaOH (lye) solution, then stonewash it.
It can be totally indistinguishable from similarly finished titanium, with a bit of practice.

@@CNYKnifeNut, I definitely appreciate it with a richer finish than the soda can shine.
And with the stonewash you mention, absolutely will give it extra depth with the high and low shine/dull spots.
I wish I had those skillz, haha.

A year later. I'll bet it is starting to get a little duller now as is oxidizes. I went this way too and it's shiny right out of the package, isn't it?
Soaking them in Oxyclean overnight will knock the shine off of them and grey them up.

I'm wondering if I should get the stonewashed or non? I have tequila orange on my para 3 LW and they're pretty solid, I wouldn't get the cerakote again because it scratches off or at least mine did by the clip.

White noise my man, doesn’t bother me at all. Was it RG Custom Metal works? Because those scales look absolutely stunning but a bit pricey.

I think that it looks real nice. Do you like it better than the g10 scales? If so then it’s an upgrade over that.

Thanks Bud, not necessarily better, just a change because I have a few of them. Thanks for watching

@@theresafolderinmypocket Change can be good. I have had both experiences of loving the change as well as “I wish I would have left it the way it was.” I enjoy your content and your voice is soothing. Kinda sounds weird when I read my words. Lol
