Fergus mate your attitude is great 😊 I have been feeling rather fatigued lately myself after an emotional couple of days. It has been difficult to focus on my training because feeling pretty low. It’s zapped me to the point of exhaustion. It’s finding that balance knowing when to carry on or just stop for a few days and revaluate things. Reminders are always good. Thanks for sharing 🙏💙
Fergus, You are a tough bugger! And inspiring! Yet realistic and measured. Staying focused and managing the situation and expectations. A lesson to us all. And as with so many comments, we are with You all the way! Take care. Thank You.
Your attitude about this is great. Most people would have catastrophized the whole situation without realizing they’re in an unhelpful thought pattern and redirecting. I appreciated the outro/ ramble/ thought process explanation. Keep up the good work!!
Sorry about this situation mate. It’s unlikely to be a stress fracture after a trauma, like a jump or a fall, they are caused by repetitive overload (unless you had pain before?). Could be a fracture, but would be unlikely to run 10k on it either. The only issue with carrying on running, through a bone stress injury is it developing into a full fracture, they are particularly nasty fractures, and can be surgical. If you need any advice on getting some imaging done, I’m happy to help, or refer you. Your videos have kept me going!
Yeah confident it isn’t just not ruling anything out! And as you’ve said, I wouldn’t be able to run without proper pain if it was a fracture - so logic is, I don’t think I could do damage that would require surgery so let’s crack on 😂 Thanks for watching and appreciate the support my man 👊🏼
Fergus you’re a Fuk’n LEGEND! Just saw your latest reel on IG, I have to ask, what was your heaviest weight as a power lifter? You look massive in those old clips? Would you consider doing a video of your power lifting days? Just impressive man, great content!
More of a niggle than an injury I reckon (a week or so after video was filmed) - so I’m confident all is workable, I wouldn’t race through an actual injury as the consequences downstream would be a nightmare! Thanks for watching 👊🏼
You got this mate. Can’t be worse than the Celtman right. Great wholistic view of everything and I’m sure you’ll do the very best you can with what you have on the day. Look forward to seeing the review video of the race. Best of luck sir.
You know what my foot was like during my training and you managed to tailor my training and coach me through 103 miles. You know what’s for the best and I’m sure you’ll smash it on the day.
I feel bad for liking the vid, as it seems like you are going through the wringer at the mo, but thanks for sharing, I think we can all learn a lesson from this! Stay strong Fergus.
I enjoy your vids I was tired / had enough a week ago of IM training . This week I started taper and now I am bored and irritable 🙄 It’s all part of the process I’ve had a foot injury too at this stage in the game too. On the day it was absolutely fine
Sending love bro! Just finished my first big running challenge, Goggins 4x4x48, and now my foot hurts 2 weeks out of my powerlifting meet. Trying to stay positive and hoping it will be fine just like you! Great content as always mate.
I sort of understand when you've prepped for something and then some unknown gets introduced. Annoying but I think you're doing the right thing! Can't wait to see the double brutal!
Great effort Fergus. I'm reminded by the that time Ruth Astle WON an Ironman after not being able to run for months with an injury. You've got the fitness. You've proved that with the bike and the swim and previous run efforts. It will be fine.
Another enjoyable watch and sorey to hear about the niggles. Quick question if you don’t mind answering, What HR do you class as Z2 as I have read mixed ranges etc. cheers
Thanks Keri - haven’t pursued as waiting list would be months at this point in the NHS, but had it assessed by a physio and assumption is no bone issue 🤌🏼

Thanks for watching! Haha I always enjoy my tapers as it gives me time to sort my kit for the race - hoping that’s the case with my foot!

Hope it will get better! I also currently wanted to prepare for some running events but have to pause running quite a time due to knee pain.
Best of luck with figuring it out my man!

Completely dependent on the individual my man - we recommend LTHR testing to establish yours: ruclips.net/video/cLb3PIlZmjY/видео.html
@@ferguscrawley95 thanks Fergus, will look into that
Great video, I really appreciate you explaining your thought process
Thanks John, appreciate it!
