Every time I saw one, I thought, "Wow. I am in space." Still though. A door made out of paper would have been better in the long run. Would have at least slowed 'em down for a second. Anyway. [cough] Anybody not escaping or shivving me, get back to work.
Believe it or not the turret that lets you into the clones room. You can take them with you and they are actually capable of shooting enemies in the boss fight
It’s amazing how subtle yet amazingly done 36’s character arc is in this game. He doesn’t fully admit that his past actions were wrong, but he is willing to open up, and maybe that could lead him to changing in the future. It’s not likely that he’ll join the rebels after all he’s done, but he’s not going to help the combine anymore, either. Wilson, a robot, an AI, helped him find his humanity. And what’s so shocking about all this, is that according to Breadman, Wilson was a late addition. Meaning 36’s entire character arc was a last minute addition. Incredible how such great things can come from last minute inspiration.
So lemme get this straight, over a hour of good content on a half life mod, with great editing and commentary, along with a unique info and content on my favorite franchise? Why the hell do you have under a thousand subs, this is a outrage!
This one was such a weird gaming experience for me. I stopped the video about 1/3 of the way through and decided to play Entropy: Zero 2 myself. It was mostly just uncomfortable for me to play the bad guy- I usually really like playing a good guy, so mowing through probably over a hundred rebels wasn’t really my thing. The whole time I was hoping I would get the chance to take a different path, and naturally, when the time came, I turned on the Advisor. Thanks to Wilson, I got the ending I was really hoping for- we escape and turn on the Combine. Probably one of the most satisfying endings I’ve ever reached in gaming, and I can’t wait for another sequel.
I didn't realize you only had 567 subs when I watched this. This video is incredible quality wise for someone with such few subs. Keep up the good work!
dude. you're so underrated. I clicked into this video thing this dude gotta be some popular guy, but no! You seriously deserve more attention. The time put into this is seriously good.
I also love the fact that the "A Gun" is a reference to the IT Crowd. Douglas does the same thing when finding a gun in his dad's desk. "A gun! Wonder if it's loaded." *Click Click Click Click Click*
I love the thumbnail LOL (edit: Okay but the Adrian/Aiden name thing does have a bit of a point to extent because I remember misremembering his name as Adrian when I was starting the game for the first time so)
It's worth mentioning that the expansions for HL1 were developed by Gearbox, with Valve only having any oversight for Blue Shift. Thus, writer Marc Laidlaw never had any involvement in the story of OpFor, which is technically the real reason Race X never shows up again. The "official" canonicity of OpFor is tenuous at best, but Laidlaw isn't writing for Valve anymore so until they start giving us stuff not reliant on the newest mostest expensivest hardware every time the planets align, I don't particularly care what people do with the canon. Anything goes at this point as long as it's cool as hell.
You deserve so much more recognition dude, this video is so beyond good and well made. Thanks for giving my brain a whole entire hour and a half of dopamine :)
Thank You! i really cant reccomend The Half Life games or thier modding communities enough. (helps that the games are dirt cheap on steam during sales)

this is a conspiracy theory but it does look like valve just secretely helped in the development of Entropy: Zero 2 they're kinda based... ngl... they allow people to put their half life mods/ fan made games into steam
Wow, this mod seems amazing! Man wish I didn't watch the video though I don't regret it still! Amazing video, I really enjoyed it, honestly thinking of playing thro this mod myself.
Give it a shot! its a great mod, and in my experience media can still be enjoyed even after knowing everything about it. The journey not the destination and all that stuff :)
@@RealGameriel Yeah you are definitely right about it being enjoyable afterwards. Currently playing some of the valve games and after I am done with Half Life 2 I will give it a shot. Have a good day!
Incredible video on this. I was going to watch this when it came out but I simply didn't get around to it (having 700 videos queued to be watched will do that), and now I've rectified that and see that I should've gotten to it when it was first uploaded. I agree with all of what you've said here and I do hope Entropy: Zero manages to break free of the Valve curse for trilogies, though if it doesn't the 'Wilson ending' definitely sets it on an enjoyable open end of Aiden, 3650 no longer, wreaking havoc on the Combine from within. That duo is now responsible for the deaths of two Advisers (since the one in the interrogation/surgery control room gets fried by Wilson), and I could honestly see him bantering with the one who contacted him during E:Z 2 and was on that screen in that room throughout the course of a theoretical third installment if it does happen, since that open end is deliberately set up for a sequel. I do wonder what they'll do with it, though. And I suspect he'll have a hard time being caught between the Resistance and the Combine, but I kind of hope he doesn't fully join them and remains as a tentative ally if anything. Gordon would understand, when it comes to being forced into the will of G-Man after a happenstance event. And they share a similar goal. Entropy: Zero 2 is certainly a fully faithful sequel to not just Opposing Force, but also all of Half Life, and is likely going to be at least recognized by Valve at some point, I'm sure, due to the sheer amount of effort and care put into it. I may not have been around for all the days of Half Life's community growing into what it is now, but I've certainly gotten well and truly into it after the fact, and I hope for the best with whatever Valve does end up doing next incorporating this into its continuity. Indistinguishable from a Valve product, other than the name on the cover.
Considering how long this video is and how you talked, I thought you were already have at least tens of thousands of subscribers. The world is indeed a place full of surprises; subscribed!
Brilliant video, extremely well made. Editing is superb. Keep it up man. Entropy Zero 2 is great, played it a few days ago. Had to constantly remind myself it was not made by valve.
jesus i just noticed the subs you have, mad respect man this video was awesome and i didnt notice it was 1hr+ you just got a brand new sub, keep it up and i hope you the best of luck
I personally believe that the Advisor that disappears in a blue flash at the end is the one that Alyx kills at the end of HL:A, which is also the same one that killed Eli Vance. Hence why they disappear in a blue flash surrounded by blue energy, they just got erased from that point in time through Cause and Effect.
Man the quality of this video. I thought you have at the very least 100k subs, but you don't even have 1k. I hope to see more from you because I'm subscribing
I loved it when it first came on steam, played the second it came... I couldn't leave my boy Wilson back at the secret aperture facility. I had a hunch that bringing him with me would lead to a sort of a "true ending" and I was right, seeing him at the end I was yelling "LET'S GO!" so loud my throat hurt. I really hope the mod team makes a 3rd entry of Entropy series.
50:41 Wait, you can actually turn those portals off with the grenades? I had assumed they were there to pressure you to keep moving through the section…
You should still keep moving in that section tho, even if you close all of them, there's lots of xen wildlife still spawning. You WILL get overwhelmed evenually
said really cool 'gun' is a Portal Gun, But it snot the same one as you would expect. It's like, a potato looking thing which stores one entity, item, prop, npc in it for relocation. Fire at the thing you want to move, it stores it. fire again to place it.
seriously underrated channel, you rock dude! Edit: Wow, this is a real turning point for your channel, to go from 40 views per video to over 15,000 is impressive.
1:20:15 If you take into account that this event occurs not long after Mossman's capture, then it could then be assumed that this was actually the Vortigaunts breaking Gordon Freeman out of stasis, as Gordon was rescued, if the recent Skyrion timeline is correct, about a week after the events of HL2's ending, implying that GMan leaves BC is a rough situation due to the Vorts trying to keep him away from Freeman. Which in turn resulted in BC getting captured by the Combine. That's is, of course, depending on the accuracy of the aforementioned timeline vid, as that one implies GMan created an alternate timeline himself, so he could hire Alyx in the main timeline. Confusing, I know.
Could be either to be honest. I like my headcanon, but yours very well could be the intention. The devs very well could have left it up to interpretation for a reason tbf
If you stop and listen a bit to the metrocops in the intro part (after you breach the door, when Bad Cop is ready to kill the 3 which are screwing his numbers up) They talk down to you but will attack first. And After killing those 3, the 4th one will say he believes you and such, sadly, you can't spare the last one.
@@RealGameriel They pretty much try to get bad cop to attack first but if you hold back they start attacking. pretty much changing the whole context of the story slightly due to that little change. Bad cop is still the teacher's pet but he acted in self defense. Either way, 4 Metro cops are dead.
Whoa, what a review. The last time I was pinned to my chair and just watching with that deep of an interest was quite some time ago ! Now I am not only replaying the Entropy: Zero game, but the sequel as well ! Thanks for an awesome video !
1:24:39 Right now there are people who are developing an unofficial sequel to Opposing Force, and apparently they are doing a good job introducing Corporal Shepard back to the franchise with what was already seen in the demo they released and the concept art that is on the Mod DB page.

Edit #262186... : Hey! if your looking at this comment, and enjoyed/are enjoying this video, i would really reccomend watching this video too at some point, its objectively better in almost every way to this one you're watching/just watched.

Holy shit, this video is popping off. Wow uh, thanks so much for the support and attention, this video almost got scrapped but im glad i stuck with it. Thanks all! and dont forget to subscribe and like and all that stuff.
Edit: Holy shit you guys seem to really like this. well uh, alright then, if your looking for more content like this (with admittedly less polish) i have a playlist of all the game summaries / reviews ive ever done. not all of them are as good as this one but eh, cant hurt to promote them i guess.

One last thing, i also do funnies with my friends if thats anything your interested in watching, but im done plugging my shit here. have a lovely day!
How do you have only 112 subscribers. This is content from someone I'd expect to have over 100000 subs.
[throat clear] This thing on? I'm gonna be brief. Because I'm dying. Because I got shivved. A lot. I just wanna get it on record that using force fields for doors in a space prison is a bad idea. You know what would have been better? Regular doors. With locks. Locks that don't open when the power goes out. [cough cough] Man, those blue force fields looked good, though. Every time I saw one, I thought, "Wow. I am in space." Still though. A door made out of paper would have been better in the long run. Would have at least slowed 'em down for a second. Anyway. [cough] Anybody not escaping or shivving me, get back to work.
Yeah this video slaps
Well done you must be one of the smallest channels to have 3k Watch’s
THE THUMBNAIL, WHAT DID YOU DO?????? WHAT HAVE YOU DOOOOOOONE???????
I can't believe this guy would shamelessly steal from Pyrocynical a full year before his Entropy Zero video, truly despicable.
I feel that this is the birth of a fantastic channel... Just don't let burnout get ahold of you.
A catboy that plays the best mod made in the last few years? Absolutely based, subbed.
Believe it or not the turret that lets you into the clones room. You can take them with you and they are actually capable of shooting enemies in the boss fight
That's what I did, it sure gave me some breathing room while fighting in that area
This is the episode 3 I never knew I needed
55:02 I love how cute wilson looks talking to the rebel
Keep up the good work!
i love the effort you made on it for so little viewers. i will watch your career anxiously and share it.
Im glad he gets to see the benefits of this effort. 40k views in 2 weeks with 1k subs damn
Valve should hire these guys. This was so well written and executed... Amazing. It's crazy how dedicated and creative HL fans are. Respect.
dude. you're so underrated. I clicked into this video thing this dude gotta be some popular guy, but no!
You seriously deserve more attention. The time put into this is seriously good.
This was incredible! The production quality, editing, storytelling and all was just phenomenal. I watched the whole video in one go. Well done!
I also love the fact that the "A Gun" is a reference to the IT Crowd. Douglas does the same thing when finding a gun in his dad's desk. "A gun! Wonder if it's loaded." *Click Click Click Click Click*
32:15
"i wonder if its loaded"
*opens gun to find it full*
"nope"
lmao
those are casings, not bullets. A revolver doesn't eject the casing when the bullet is fired.
i like how each part is swapped out via a vhs style as if we are the ones watching the mask playbacks.
I, LOVE the pulse rifle animations, it feels like what VALVe meant to have it look like
You son of A GUN! You don't even have 1k subs but made the effort for this masterpiece? You deserve one more sub bro
wait this isnt a popular video? holy shit im lucky this got recommended... havent finished the video but so far its awesome!
I love the thumbnail LOL (edit: Okay but the Adrian/Aiden name thing does have a bit of a point to extent because I remember misremembering his name as Adrian when I was starting the game for the first time so)
I misremembered while i was voicing the script lol, had some re-recording to do afterwards.
@@RealGameriel O dang so it wasn't just me then, interesting 🤔 But yeah their names are definitely confusing
They are confusing until you spend 4 months hearing yourself say the words "aiden" over and over while editing XD
@@RealGameriel LOL
It's worth mentioning that the expansions for HL1 were developed by Gearbox, with Valve only having any oversight for Blue Shift. Thus, writer Marc Laidlaw never had any involvement in the story of OpFor, which is technically the real reason Race X never shows up again. The "official" canonicity of OpFor is tenuous at best, but Laidlaw isn't writing for Valve anymore so until they start giving us stuff not reliant on the newest mostest expensivest hardware every time the planets align, I don't particularly care what people do with the canon. Anything goes at this point as long as it's cool as hell.
at this rate, half life fans will have made HL3 from scratch using Source 2 before we get another mainline Half Life game.
Don't care what anyone says, this is canon.
head cannons are head cannons thus are not cannon
but i actually agree to pretend that it is cannon
It is not canon.
@@White927 What part of "don't care what anyone says" don't you get?
@@GoddessWhoUsedToKnowToMuch lol.
Great video essay, you deserve more views
You deserve so much more recognition dude, this video is so beyond good and well made. Thanks for giving my brain a whole entire hour and a half of dopamine :)
My two favourite games combined, I’m so glad I found this video
well, this definetly makes me want to try out half life 2 and its mods even more. great video, great mod and great GUN.
Thank You! i really cant reccomend The Half Life games or thier modding communities enough. (helps that the games are dirt cheap on steam during sales)
I was going to say great little video almost instantly as I started watching, then realized there is an hour and a half ahead. It is great film then!
2.3k views and 138 subs? With a video having this much effort put in? This channel is far too underrated for what it is
When I first watched this I didn’t look at the views or subscriber count and the editing the commentary everything about this video made me think that this video had millions of views and you had millions of subscribers I was severely wrong this video is amazing and definitely deserves more views and you deserve more subscribers!
Great video man! i love that people are covering this mod in such depth and with so much effort aswell, keep it up!
Thanks! glad you enjoyed it!
Imagine if Entropy: Zero was actually secretly made by Valve
this is a conspiracy theory
but it does look like valve just secretely helped in the development of Entropy: Zero 2
they're kinda based... ngl... they allow people to put their half life mods/ fan made games into steam
@@theshadows1416 Most thing valve helped is with license and some textures from half life they didn't directly help it.
45:07 That Was Sick Scene Ever. Masterpiece i called ever! Thats Why Community Make Magics İdeas !
Entropy 1-2 should get even more recognition from HL community and beyond. Also amazing video, mate.
the transformation of "WOW,A GUN" to "i wonder if its loaded" feels funny as hell
It seems we have collectively discovered a new channel, we will watch your progress with great interest.
Brilliant video, extremely well made. Editing is superb. Keep it up man.
Entropy Zero 2 is great, played it a few days ago. Had to constantly remind myself it was not made by valve.
jesus i just noticed the subs you have, mad respect man this video was awesome and i didnt notice it was 1hr+ you just got a brand new sub, keep it up and i hope you the best of luck
you're underrated asf dude, this is the best hl2 vid I've seen in a while, keep up the great work cause I'm subscribed
6:18
Alyx: That’s like a.. a zombine
Gordon: *picks up gasoline can*
Alyx: Zomb- *dies*
Probably the most valve official feeling part of this mod is that it also ends on a cliffhanger
holy fucking shit. I didn't realise you had just 400 subscribers. This is amazing
With all this in mind, Entropy Zero 1 feels like the Blue Shift sequel we never got.
Man the quality of this video. I thought you have at the very least 100k subs, but you don't even have 1k. I hope to see more from you because I'm subscribing
how do you only have 561 subscribers? you deserve more!!!!!!!
I really hope the mod team makes a 3rd entry of Entropy series.
i hope algorithm blesses you gameriel
I don't know what scares me more, the fact this video is 1 hour long, or the fact the combine elite has cat ears
Beautifully made video, I can't wait to see what else you make in future.
50:41 Wait, you can actually turn those portals off with the grenades? I had assumed they were there to pressure you to keep moving through the section…
Yeah, there's a whiteboard that tells you you can shut them down with the xen grenades.
You should still keep moving in that section tho, even if you close all of them, there's lots of xen wildlife still spawning. You WILL get overwhelmed evenually
This was great man, take this sub
Best Masterpiece i ever see. Also Good & Best Ending Ever ! But not Done Yet ! still will be to be continued.
You can also drive the rebel vehicles, oh and using impulse 101 gives you a really cool gun
What? Is that a code or something?
Its "give all" console command for source games
@@danielsiii4235 i think its impulse 101
said really cool 'gun' is a Portal Gun, But it snot the same one as you would expect. It's like, a potato looking thing which stores one entity, item, prop, npc in it for relocation. Fire at the thing you want to move, it stores it. fire again to place it.
This was extremely well done. I did not expect to watch this from start to finish, but the presentation and the game itself kept me hooked.
i gotta be honest mate this vid is well done and i hope u get more veiws because is awesome
"Wow! A gun! I wonder if it's loaded." *Click. Click click.* "Nope."
A well made and, well thought out video!
the first time I played I didn't know Wilson could be strapped on to the car I only learned like half way through
this is a great video i will watch this career with great interest
seriously underrated channel, you rock dude!
Edit: Wow, this is a real turning point for your channel, to go from 40 views per video to over 15,000 is impressive.
midway through and loving the video, you my dear sir earned a subscriber today for sure!
I would have loved to see the gonarch when that cluster of xen grenades were thrown. That would have been AMAZING.
@@RealGameriel It's the Gman. Anything's possible with that guy.
Damn, alot of folks have been saying that but i guess im just naturally quick to violence because i never heard them out. Lmao
3:01 fun fact, leon was hungover for the events of raccoon city
“Oh, it seems to be human… Hello?”
“Hello!”
“Oh god”
1:24:39 Right now there are people who are developing an unofficial sequel to Opposing Force, and apparently they are doing a good job introducing Corporal Shepard back to the franchise with what was already seen in the demo they released and the concept art that is on the Mod DB page.
I absolutely love the VHS sounds at the start
23:35 "What is going o- *has a stroke*"
Anyways, EZ2 is a really REALLY good mod, with the custom UI, being able to kick doors open and really cool animations.
speaking of 23 minutes, you can actually hear his discord notifications
All my men actually survived the xen grenade tub thing cuz i placed them in a corner when i was playing so that i could do it On My Own ™
