I know y’all don’t like the Vault of souls in the manifestation more, but it has play into quite a few matchups. Put that thing near a unit of bladegheists and fill the vault up. Into most of the death armies, the chaos armies, gitz, and elf armies that vault will fill up. It serves a similar role to the maelstrom from morbid conjuration but doesn’t do the mortal damage to friendly units. Killing a bunch of clan rats next to that thing and then popping 3-6 mortal wounds into some stormfiends or rat ogors could do some pretty significant work
@@kennypalmer8971 I agree. That bomb, or just the threat of that bomb, changes the flow of gameplay. I like to stick it behind my line of chumps to fill up on my own lads
I really like the new version of wave of terror. Much better then gambling on if i can roll a 10+ to obliterate my opponent. You can build a plan on the new wave of terror. Love it
Hero with Covetous Familiar don’t need to be the target of the attack to get the artifact to trigger, he just needs to be in combat with a unit choosing to ’fight’ I believe
Just a quick question on the Nigt haunt manifestations - as they have the keyword NIGHHAUNT on their cards, while they cannot use the core ability's unless specified ; do they not benefit from the passive army abilities ? IE ETHEREAL is a passive army ability , that specifically only excludes Nagash and the only identifier for NIGHHAUNT on any other warscroll is DEATH /NIGHTHAUNT which the manifestations also have - so does that mean their actually better as they can benefit from ETHERAL and WAVE OF TERROR ?
I don't think they do, but I can't remember why. Something hidden in manifestation rules, I think. You can't pick them to benefit unless it targets? Idk, something like that.
I think that 2 unique heros are worth it. I run nagash, reinforced baldeghiest, reikenor, reinforced bladeghiest, bladeghiest or haradins and Hexwraiths or dreadblades. If found nagash is the equivalent of relics and traits plus reikenor deals a lot of damage outside of casting. Plus I really want the 2 shademist on the big blocks of bladeghiests.
@@masonknox77 the way is see it is Nagash is 2 black coaches and a unit of bladeghiest. He’s like taking the Procession of Death formation and Death Stalkers with more flexibility. Dreadblades being everywhere kind of makes up for the lack of units. I’ve played it a few times and I’m pretty happy with how it plays x
Im thinking about awlrich bringing in the glaivewraith stalkers. With theor ability you can have 8 guys rolling 5+ to charge, and awlrich can hide pretty far away. Idk, maybe thats enough to make them good. Certainly a distraction!
I have a question , reikenor corpse candles ability, do you roll a save roll?, because in the video it is said that is a mortal damage but the warscroll says plain damage
You "allocate" 1 point of damage. It's effectively very similar to doing a mortal wound, but "allocate damage" is a specific step that comes after armor and Ward saves. Corpse candle essentially does 1 unresistable damage, as I understand it, either to himself 9r an enemy
Going to start a nighthaunt army soon, is there a hero that makes chainrasps good? I ask because i already own some and the vanguard box has 20 more in it lol
Maybe a spirit torment to buff their rallies? Or a wizard to shade mist them? Idk, chainrasps are more about bogging down opponents with 5+ Ward saves (discorporate) while your damage dealers can wheel around and slam them
Great content guys, thank you Coach and Mason for the excellent overview.

It's in the FAQ of the advanced rules in the app under - Magic 7. 0 Manifestations:
Q: Are manifestations effected by friendly abilities?
A: No.

I definitely see this line of play/thought. Nagash changes your approach and allows for some concessions to be made that normally wouldn't be!

With the crossboos at 100 for 5, I still don't think I would ever take chainrasps

I got 70 painted chainrasps and use none at the moment. Imho all the other options for infantry are way better sadly.
@@patrickstorm8802 that’s unfortunate, I wish they were on 32mm that way you could at least proxy them as something else
dude chill with the nonstop nerf mongering, its week 2 and like 10+ armies look strong.
Nighthaunt still objectively the best army rn so it's inevitable they get nerfed
