Bit of a mistake here, you cannot double redeploy into combat with the Coven Throne, you can only react once per phase, so you can only use Mannfred's ability once during the opponents turn. Also I hope Ben didn't put on Neferata's spell on the VLOZD during the tournament, it specifically states non-monster unit.
Bacchanal of blood with Cado Ezechiar gives you a pretty easy source of +2 to cast, if you really NEED to get a Krondspine (8+) or Prison of Grief off on a magical intervention, he's clutch! You can barf out hard to cast spells every round if he finds a place of power.
Great video and very helpful. I like the list choices in the back. He also opened my eyes to the power of skeletons I was kind of sleeping on them since they don't do much damage but recursion is great and can pop out of the grave to threaten the backfield.
soulblight was and always will be my fav armie. i had a really early game where i litteraly did not kill a single unit of my friend but i still won just because i kept his stuff away from objectives, tied up his hammers in useless combats and just won like that. never did that before and made me understand the game alot more, since before i thought its all about damage when it really isnt
oh man, you guys would hate my list, its blood nights and dogs (and neffy and vhordrai). i will try something else for sure, like black knights, but it worked fine for me. im also really unsure which non unique hero i should use as none of them or the artifacts or traits really synergize with my list at all. maybe swapping out vhordrai for a gerenic vlozd but i kind of only did the list to get vhordrais buffs on the blood knights
For the battltome: anything but a foot hero! New grave guard models, a blood knight hero, an elite infantry vampire unit. Better sub factions and enhancement options! (Also big thumbs up for a bone giant!)
I’m surprised they didn’t talk about the Vampire Lord. Lots of offensive utility, especially in BoB. Teleport to the opponents back line and charge their wizard for +1 w or keep him out of combat and summon a manifestation on the opponents turn then counter charge anything that tries to get him. Give him some back by summoning some skeles or grave guard to bog the enemy down (if you can get them there with terrain deployment) and you have a massive disruption piece for 160pts
@AoSCoach I had that hope originally. Settra was never a minion of Nagash and did a Gotrek at the end of the Old World giving everyone the finger heading into the realm of chaos
How in the mortal realms is Legion of Shyish not conditional? You need: - 4 deadwalker or deathrattle units - that are all damaged/missing models - all wholly within 12" of the same hero - during any hero phase I don't have much experience on the tabletop, but that seems more conditional than having a deadwalker unit in combat and rolling a 2+ on a D3. It honestly seems niche.
I believe the reference I was talking about was that if you counter charge, you can't recieve a command but if you do a similar ability without a command... you can
@AoSCoach so if you can get a free reroll charge in your charge phase it should work with counter charge, because that ability says it works as if it were your charge phase.

On the flipside, if you roll a 1 he won't have his bonus. Other than the one cast he really doesn't help. He's an extra drop.. he's really expensive

Counter charge says "as if it were your charge phase" so can't you use the reroll charge?
You can't use the command point reroll because you can only give a unit one command per phase
