The Ultimate Bad Ending: After Arthur does the most horrible things imaginable, the ending of it gets worse.. Arthur dosent help Abigail, Sadie lost faith in Arthur, Tilly gets kidnapped and killed, Jack becomes an orphan, Arthur betrays John and leaves him for the Pinkertons, and Micah gets away with the money. After all that ended, Arthur walks away from the chaos he caused, sits on a cliff, and waits for his TB to finally finish him off while watching the sunrise, and finally dies from his TB while rain drops fall on his worthless dead body...
Also a cutscene appears and its a pure black cougar running across a field in a dark stormy night hunting his high honor buck While the gang watches Arthur above with pure disgust and hatred...
Watching the sunrise? That's more of a high honor peaceful death, It would make more sense if you get Ambushed by Pinkertons while walking away. You die that night by the hands of Agent Milton and Agent Ross from hanging, then it would view Arthur's face while he's dying slowly from hanging and the cutscene with the black cougar would appear. Like the normal endings. High honor: You die peacefully from your disease Low honor: You die getting killed off
@@wolverine_779 now, I LOVE this idea, but I'm not sold on the choice of animal. Why a cougar? Rockstar chose the coyote because they're known for preying on the weak (a rather dishonorable act). I mean, maybe a cougar could work as a representation of ultra low honor, but I don't see it.
Ultimate low honor: Arthur dies by hanging in the dead of night by the Pinkertons. Then shows the forest at almost pitch black black while it's snowing. A wolf like figure shows up with glowing red eyes. Instead of the dead deer, the wolf is next to the crosses of his wife's and daughter's grave, and both of the crosses are broken and worn out. The wolf goes into the den, then the area fogs up. Then finally, the entire mountain fogs up as the light fades.
It’s too bad they scrapped this visual from the game. After seeing that clip in one of the trailers, I was looking forward to seeing that scene in the story mode.
Yeah, because it’s meant to be depressing, to represent the depression, knowing that Arthur (in this version) was truly nothing more than a lowlife killer and murderer who put money and himself above all else and now, he will suffer the might of God’s wrath for his sins.
@@jad77777 Well, at some point, Arthur did believe that there was a God, and generally, good deeds is something we as Christians are meant to do, and we are punished for doing bad towards others. So this whole "Heaven can only be obtained through salvation" is probably just an excuse by "Christians" who behave towards others, but rather than accepting their consequences and trying to reform themselves, they tell themselves, "Oh, I'll still get to Heaven, because I put my faith in Jesus Christ." When in reality, people who do good would be saved, and they would be accepted into Heaven. Besides, wouldn't the good non-believers achieve salvation by God accepting them into heaven, because they realise there is a Father above who loves them?
@@bluexboxgamer2613 Nope. The Bible says otherwise. He that believeth not the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him (John 3:36). Salvation is only obtained through faith in Christ (Acts 4:12, John 14:6). They who don't trust in the gospel (that Christ died for their sins, was buried and rose again the third day for our justification), is going to burn in hell. 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 KJV [3] But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: [4] in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. Salvation is not by our righteous deeds (Titus 3:5) or following the law (Romans 3:20-28) Galatians 3:10-14 KJV [10] For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. [11] But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. [12] And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them. [13] Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: [14] that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
@@bluexboxgamer2613 there is none good. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). The standard of God is perfection (Galatians 3:10, James 2:10). You're either justified by the law (sinless perfection), which nobody has (Only Jesus was sinless), or you're justified by grace through faith (Galatians 2:16, Romans 3:28), but not both. Galatians 5:4 KJV [4] Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV [8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] not of works, lest any man should boast. If you try to work your way to heaven and establish your own righteousness, Christ died in vain for you (Galatians 2:21). Romans 1:16 KJV [16] For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
@@jad77777 Well, yes, it is good to believe in God and to be a Christian, but wouldn't you think that God is a man of mercy, for he created us and understands us the best, and would forgive the non-believers, because those who are righteous will be awarded in the afterlife, and therefore, they will embrace salvation. "Father, forgive them, because they do not know what they are doing."
You can really hear the disappointment in the music too. I believe you hear only Dutch in this version, and in the high honor version you also hear Lenny and Hosea.
Ultimate Low Honor Ending: Arthur refuses to go save Abigail, which leads to Sadie being killed at Van Horn, whilst Abigail is shipped off to be trialed for murder. Arthur, realising the gang is at it's tipping point, tries to flee with the money he got from the train heist, whilst Micah betrays the gang and hands them off to the Pinkertons, but John catches Arthur and despite Arthur's pleas for mercy, John doesn't accept them, and before Arthur could save himself, John shoots him in the chest, taking Arthur's money, before saving Jack just in time before Tilly was kidnapped and later killed by Pinkertons. He couldn't save Abigail though, and as a result, John now is a single father. However, Arthur was not killed by that revolver round and instead moans and groans in intense pain. A hungry cougar, not hesitant on missing out on such as a easy meal, finishes Arthur and devours his corpse in the heavy rain. When Charles returns from Canada, he couldn't bring himself to bury Arthur, or what was left of him, as Arthur was such a cruel and evil man, Charles just couldn't bury him and leaves Arthur's corpse to decompose in the ground.
not possible since Abigail being alive is canon in RDR1 so this would not work, maybe it would made more sense if Abigail still somehow manages to get a revolver and shoots Milton and then she and Sadie escaped and lived happily ever after
This version sells it for me, really sells the idea that Arthur is condemned to damnation and could not redeem himself. The organ in the background sounds so sinister and evil, it sounds like he’s standing at the gates of hell
Lowest Honor Ending: After returning from Guarma, Arthur was noticing a big change in Dutch. Letting John get captured raised his suspicions, and the deaths of Leviticus and Colm were just nails in the coffin. After his diagnosis, he saw all purpose in his life fade away and finally snapped. He wanted nothing more than to be free. He walked up to Milton and his men and told them everything. Blackwater, Cornwall, Saint Denis, Beaver Hollow, everything that went down in the last twenty years. That and 2000 dollars was enough to pardon his freedom. He knew the Pinkertons wouldn’t be enough to take down the remains of the Van Der Linde gang, and he would need a diversion of some kind. Dutch had recently begun usage of the Native Americans, meaning he was on top of the Army’s hit list. Again, he marched up to the Army. He told them about Beaver Hollow and all of Dutch’s plans, and organisation of an ambush began. He told the Pinkertons that Dutch was at his most vulnerable, and so began their onslaught. Right as the US army was charging into battle. Everything was going right to plan. He slipped through camp and greeted his fellow gang members for the final time, going through the cave and up the mountains to a grassy ridge where he would overlook the chaos with a long scoped rifle. All at once, 50 Pinkertons charged from the north and 50 soldiers charged from the east. For a few minutes the Gang was defending well, until Micah was struck in the shoulder. Charles was hit right between the eyes and Javier followed soon after. Bill tried to get on his horse and flee, but the Pinkertons had formed a barricade on the path and executed him promptly. Arthur laid his rifle beside him and smiled. He could finally be free. The Pinkertons, the army, Dutch, none of them could hold him back any longer. All his pain finally added up to something. For however longer his disease would allow him to live, he would be a free man. New name, new country. After all his pain, would he finally have a good ending? Below him, a wildfire had broken out and the Army were beginning to evacuate as gunshots ceased. The dark forest was rapidly consumed by bright flame and black smoke covered the white moon. Click. Arthur’s heart dropped to his stomach as he heard a gun cocked behind his head. He raised his hands and gradually rose to his feet, when the attacker introduced himself with two words. “Hello Son.” He spun around and saw a bloodied Dutch with torn clothes and a beaten face. The two stared at each other for a stretched moment, before Arthur tackled him to the floor. He held Dutch’s left arm to the stone floor and grabbed the revolver. Dutch resisted his grip just enough to throw the revolver forward off of the cliff face, leaving them both empty handed. Arthur let go of Dutch and lunged for his rifle, only for it to be kicked out of his hands. Another figure was standing over him with a revolver at his head and a foot at his hand. It was John, who looked just as beaten as Dutch. He raised his foot and beckoned Arthur to get up. Arthur stood with his hands in the air and John slowly upholstered his second gun, throwing it towards Dutch. Now the two of them were holding Arthur at gunpoint behind of a 50 foot drop. Arthur’s eyes darted between John and Dutch, and an image of Colm entered his mind. He finally knows how he felt in his final moments. Caught off guard, no way out. The only way he was leaving now was falling down that cliff into the burning remains of a camp. He looked up at a mountain ridge, and saw a jet black coyote staring down at him with shining green eyes. He blinked, and another Coyote was standing by his side, then another, another, until a pack of five coyotes were watching him with crazed, hungry eyes. The futility of everything was crashing down on him, and he laughed hysterically as Dutch and John remained speechless. He stepped forward and dealt a devilish hook to Dutch’s battered face, and was met with a gunshot to the rib. He stumbled backwards, then forwards, then sideways straight off of the ridge. The last thing he saw was a burned camp full of corpses, some he recognised, some he didn’t. Getting closer, and closer, until…

Ultimate Low Honor: Arthur decides to cut and run after Dutch turns evil. He steals the money, executes Agent Milton, and bugs out before Micah can even find him. But he is eventually on his deathbed from tuberculosis. On his last day, he sees a newspaper. John’s entire family, including little Jack, was killed. Dutch and Micah were wanted, but nowhere to be found. He realizes what a piece of shit man he is, and screams out in horror. Then he coughs up blood, and collapses on the floor, looking into his fireplace. This version of the song plays. We see the wolf, covered in blood, limping into the cave, but it collapses before it can get inside. Arthur is too evil. Not even hell wants him. He is erased from the cosmos, and you don’t even get to play the epilogue.
Imagine this playing whilst Arthur stares down Micah while "dying" of TB. The most intense and evil eyes of the eldritch abomination, about to be formerly known as Arthur Morgan, glow a cold white in their pupils and penetrates the night's darkness as it grins maniacally, staring down the poor rat that as his very soul shivers at the knowledge of the monster this betrayal has unleashed. The dying man starts to transform, gradually but noticeably, his face warps, eye sockets weep of blood and extremities elongate. The moment this thing's last breaths become slow, soft and bellowing laughter is when Micah knew his days we're numbered as he spends whatever time he has left running for his life. His time has come to join the thousands of souls this thing has taken when it wore the skin of a man that no longer existed. Dutch knew, John knew, they all knew something was off as he came back from that first job Strauss gave him. But their greed and madness has finally brought upon an unimaginable horror that the world may never be able to comprehend. No single mercy from God can save him nor the world from what was unleashed that day. TLDR: Undead Nightmare 2, please.
Alternate Ending: Arthur snitches out the gang because he was tired of Dutch, but John was accidentally found as well. Micah gunfight would've never have happened. Now that's really low honor. Arthur gets to retire somewhere dry, but then the pinkertons turn on him.
@@TheForgottenScotsman A bit, except John was forced to go after his fellow gang members to ensure the safety of his family, whereas in this scenario, Arthur willingly gave the gang up.
-You left Abagail behind (Saide and Abagail got hanged.) -You let John down when he came back to camp, so he went to find Tilly. -You let Dutch/Micah kill Miss Grimshaw -You get killed off because the gang needs to "Let the weak go."
@@defense9969 well, Milton could’ve said that Micah was the rat to cause more fighting in the gang, so that they all fuck up and either kill each other or the gang gets broken apart and then they can just take them one by one and hang them. There was no use in saying that Molly was the rat, since Arthur wouldn’t have done anything, she was dead. Saying that an alive gang member is the rat though, would cause fighting and then they kill each other, the others are caught then hanged.
And then in epilogue you see that arthur on dutch and micah's side and after John remembered that him wanted to his wife gets hanged and his kid becoming a orphan, John kills arthur and his dead body with micah's dead body laying on ground and rooting

With a satchel full of cash and a gleam in his eye, Arthur falls back against the damp rocks, coughing and wheezing. He succumbs to TB, being the final member of the Van Der Linde Gang to die.
the ending where Arthur Morgan does the worst crimes and actions that would consider him unredeemable he kill off towns with his skills the people who plead for mercy from him were killed with no hesitation the people he needed to save were forgotten he stole from the rich and the poor took what was not needed but what was wanted made every wife of a sheriff or police officer a widow his spirit animals (both sides) look in disappointment and fear he died running with money and not with friends.

John comes back to camp after it got abandoned and he sees the camp destroyed and fire everywhere making him sad while he walks away to a city/village. A few days later he founds Sadie got killed and Abigail prob died too, Jack becomes a orphan , Tilly gets captured by Pinkertons as well. John becomes depressed and lives in Blackwater or Saint Denis streets meanwhile Dutch and Arthur becomes a bigger threat to pinkertons since Arthur lost his mind like Dutch. Later John joins them and becomes the deadliest Gang in America.
I was going for high honor and i was so close to low honor that i got the lower honor last ride but high honor ending on my first playthrough, so its kinda possible.
Ultra low: It was all through Micah because Dutch has found decided the world is too much for him, John Charles and the rest of the gang which is now a former one decide to ditch it, to making a run for it. Micah was originally planning to shoot Arthur and leave his body to God after that very bad bathing he gave him as Michael was planning to shoot Arthur Arthur pulls out a gun from this holster. "Damn us Both!", He says at the top of his lungs, not showing any sign of letting the rat live. just when Michael was pulling the trigger Arthur did the same thing in both shoot each other in the head, killing each other instantly on the spot in the storm. Twin cougars emerge from the cave indicating that Arthur and Micah are both going to hell, not just him.
Would have been nice if you had max honor arthur would still die but he would run away and die on his own terms but ultra low honor could be arthur gets overwehlmed by pinkertons and he gets caught and trialed or dutch goes with micah while Micah quickdraws his gun kills arthur and laughs and goes with dutch
I know this comment is probably gonna being unread, but this song would fit perfectly to an alternate Ending, where Athur gets hang for all the bad things he has done, if his honor is ultra low. Kinda like he's in jail and thinks about everything bad and good he left behind before he'll pass away.
It's not something the community wants to hear, but this is the fate that Arthur has ultimately resigned himself towards. Not just him, but all of the Van der Linde gang as well. They were thieves and murderers who crossed anyone and everyone who got in their way, and they ultimately paid the price for it. Arthur may have redeemed himself in the eyes of the gang members who he felt deserved a second chance, but that does not excuse his actions, nor redeem him in the eyes of civilized society. Again, not nice to say. But it's the truth.
This isn't something you may want to hear but your choices your "canon" so to speak doesn't reflect any kind of "truth" on who Arthur actually was and whether or not he can be redeemed is frankly up to moral assessment which varies from person to person The game's ending is entirely dependent on the player's choices throughout the game and those choices actively play into how a player may end up viewing Arthur (assuming outside "morals" don't get in the way of objective thought and rationale) If you live like an old west outlaw be it robbing killing or breaking the peace then odds are you'll come to view Arthur the same way Should you choose to instead be kind say hello to folk helping anybody in distress on the trail or hell just doing chores to keep the gang happy will play into a more sympathetic yet nuanced view (given how Arthur admits to the fact he's not exactly a good man multiple times on High Honor) thus giving you the image of Arthur as a man living the wrong life at the worst of times I don't know where the idea that we're "excusing" their actions came from because most of us don't - we simply acknowledge their circumstances and the fact that breaking away from crime is a hard thing to do (especially when you've invested literal decades to that lifestyle - anything else looks outright alien and not enough people actually talk about that) given not only habit but the gang's already-present infamy Also do you frankly think that "civilized society" could be in any position to judge? Given their comparatively luxurious lifestyle with prepped foods pre-built houses and dollar bills dependant on a paycheck? Or their willingness to become slaves to a government that don't really give a damn about them let alone acknowledge them? Nobody is objectively "in the right" in this game whether you play High Honor or Low - Arthur is a Thief and a killer at the end of the day So are the Van Der Lindes The O'Driscolls And the United States Government (look at the Natives - I dare you to tell me that "civilized society" could ever judge Arthur given how everyone else just stood by - if not actively partook while millions were wiped off their own land) It goes to show you two things be it High or Low Honor: Redemption is a *very* complicated concept There is no "right or wrong" - as much as I despise Micah he honestly had a good point - "living and dying" are what matter and how you define either could be left up to interpretation beyond the base level definition Really we could get a whole lot heated and argue about what "canon" but what does that even matter at this point? That kind of arguing has honestly been setting this community back for 7 years too long when it's obvious Rockstar designed the game to be tailored towards a player's style and how they not only interpret Arthur but crime itself if not just crime in the old west
I like the love honor Music most but i hate that Micha shoots Arthur so i like more when he dies of TB not that i like Arthurs Death but it looks so Peace full

Ultimate Low Honor Ending:
Arthur refuses to go save Abigail, which leads to Sadie being killed at Van Horn, whilst Abigail is shipped off to be trialed for murder.

This sounds like the call to hell
This version sells it for me, really sells the idea that Arthur is condemned to damnation and could not redeem himself. The organ in the background sounds so sinister and evil, it sounds like he’s standing at the gates of hell
Lowest Honor Ending:
After returning from Guarma, Arthur was noticing a big change in Dutch.

This isn't something you may want to hear but your choices your "canon" so to speak doesn't reflect any kind of "truth" on who Arthur actually was and whether or not he can be redeemed is frankly up to moral assessment which varies from person to person
The game's ending is entirely dependent on the player's choices throughout the game and those choices actively play into how a player may end up viewing Arthur (assuming outside "morals" don't get in the way of objective thought and rationale)
If you live like an old west outlaw be it robbing killing or breaking the peace then odds are you'll come to view Arthur the same way
Should you choose to instead be kind say hello to folk helping anybody in distress on the trail or hell just doing chores to keep the gang happy will play into a more sympathetic yet nuanced view (given how Arthur admits to the fact he's not exactly a good man multiple times on High Honor) thus giving you the image of Arthur as a man living the wrong life at the worst of times
I don't know where the idea that we're "excusing" their actions came from because most of us don't - we simply acknowledge their circumstances and the fact that breaking away from crime is a hard thing to do (especially when you've invested literal decades to that lifestyle - anything else looks outright alien and not enough people actually talk about that) given not only habit but the gang's already-present infamy
Also do you frankly think that "civilized society" could be in any position to judge? Given their comparatively luxurious lifestyle with prepped foods pre-built houses and dollar bills dependant on a paycheck? Or their willingness to become slaves to a government that don't really give a damn about them let alone acknowledge them?
Nobody is objectively "in the right" in this game whether you play High Honor or Low - Arthur is a Thief and a killer at the end of the day
So are the Van Der Lindes
The O'Driscolls
And the United States Government (look at the Natives - I dare you to tell me that "civilized society" could ever judge Arthur given how everyone else just stood by - if not actively partook while millions were wiped off their own land)
It goes to show you two things be it High or Low Honor:
Redemption is a *very* complicated concept
There is no "right or wrong" - as much as I despise Micah he honestly had a good point - "living and dying" are what matter and how you define either could be left up to interpretation beyond the base level definition
Really we could get a whole lot heated and argue about what "canon" but what does that even matter at this point? That kind of arguing has honestly been setting this community back for 7 years too long when it's obvious Rockstar designed the game to be tailored towards a player's style and how they not only interpret Arthur but crime itself if not just crime in the old west
Это прекрасно 😢
