Much respect to Rwanda for implementing an open and safe capitalist system. This country is going to boom pretty fast. Hope the locals are benefiting a great deal as well. This definitely looks like a place I would feel safe investing unlike the rest of east Africa. African governments need to realize a country’s stability is the only doorway to prosperity and economic growth. Rwanda is doing an outstanding job luring investors in.

Rwanda is probably the safest country in Africa. Only question I’d have, is what happens after Kagame passes on and there’s a change of ruler…he’s ruled that country with a strong hand for 30 years, so don’t think Rwandans have truly worked through their post genocidal trauma, just swept it under the carpet and can’t even talk about their ethnicities any longer. Beautiful safe country but not sure what comes after it’s current strong ruler…hope they do have strong institutions and laws that will transition power seamlessly So to answer you, you can absolutely be safe as a woman or man there…by all accounts, there’s no threat of violence from anyone for foreigners and locals alike…it’s safe everywhere but like everywhere just apply modicum of common sense. So I’d say go study there and experience the people and their culture.good luck with the studies
