I primarily use oils in my painting. Targeted oil washes and glazes really do wonders for contrast. Like using diaoxane purple in the gold shadows i think would look awesome with the green cloak. I also love ultramarine blue glazes over silver. Sometimes i add just a hint of orange to desaturate the blue but straight blue tint over silver really sells steel.
Vince venterella has some great ideas on cloaks. Using brush strokes to really sell cloth.
He's a beauty you are right to be proud.

These are all really good tips! Thank you! Purple and gold are a killer combo, ill have to have a look! And also, generally id agree with the blue glaze over silver, but in this instance, would it not just add an additional hue of color into the mix? I dont know how it would look!

Some of my malstrains got a heavy texture with the Rust-Oleum spray paint because i didnt warm the cans in hot water.

Strangely, im filming a video about just that! But yeah, 2-3 min shake, warm the can to room temp, keep 12 inches away whilst spraying.... and hope for the best 😂
